Residents in Valenzuela, QC affected by Crising, Habagat receive aid from GMA Kapuso Foundation
According to "24 Oras" Tuesday, many residents of Brgy. Parada in Valenzuela have resorted to placing their furniture that has been destroyed by the floods outside of their homes.
"Dahil sa sobrang bilis ng baha, hindi na namin naagapan. Tsaka ito, sigurado sira na 'yan. Bumabaha nang ganito, hindi, ngayon lang 'to, two years pa lang namin nararanasan 'to, Carina tsaka yung Crising," said Grace Baladiang, a resident.
Meanwhile, in Brgy. Marulas, residents have evacuated to the Valenzuela National High School as the floods in the area reached above head level.
Under its Operation Bayanihan Project, the GMA Kapuso Foundation delivered assistance to a total of 2,400 individuals affected by the inclement weather in Brgys. Parada and Marulas in Valenzuela, as well as Brgy. Katipunan in Quezon City.
The foundation also distributed warm porridge to the residents.
Meanwhile, the foundation's relief operations for those affected in Balagtas, Bulacan and San Mateo, Rizal are ongoing.

According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on Tuesday, six were reported dead due to Crising, the Habagat, and the low pressure area (LPA). Three of the reported deaths were in Northern Mindanao and one each in Mimaropa, Davao, Region, and Caraga.
The local governments of Quezon City, Manila, and Cavite have declared a state of calamity on Tuesday following the impacts of the inclement weather.
Work in government offices and classes at all levels in the National Capital Region and several provinces have also been suspended on July 23.

NGCP says Emong-affected power lines fully restored
State grid operator National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) over the weekend said it has already restored power lines affected by the continuous rains brought about by Tropical Depression Emong (international name: Co-May). According to the NGCP, the Luzon Grid was normalized after the last affected line—the Bacnotan-Bulala 69 kilo-volt line—was restored at 10:47 a.m. on Saturday, July 26. Habagat, Crising, Dante, Emong combined infra damage hits P5B

According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) released on Sunday, July 28, damage to infrastructure was recorded at P5,005,253,046.08. The most damages were recorded in Region 3 or Central Luzon with P3.173 billion, followed by Calabarzon with P855.209 million, Region 1 or the Ilocos Region with P630.905 million, Region 6 or Western Visayas with P161.827 million, Region 2 or Cagayan Valley with P75.600 million, Mimaropa with P59.377 million, the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) with P49.316 million. Damage and losses to agriculture were recorded at P484.400 million — P173.942 million in Mimaropa, P99.482 million in Calabarzon, P60.357 million in the Negros Island Region, P58.681 million in Region 12 or Soccsksargen, P46.640 million in Central Luzon, P27.868 million in Western Visayas, P11.460 million in Region 5 or Bicol, P4.069 million in the Cagayan Valley, P1.805 million in the Ilocos Region. 4 Luzon dams release water —PAGASA
Four dams in Luzon had some of their gates open on Sunday to release water, data from PAGASA showed. Ipo Dam in Norzagaray, Bulacan had one gate open at 0.15 meters, discharging water at 33 cubic meter per second (cms). At 8 a.m., Ipo Dam's reservoir water level (RWL) was at 100.41 meters, near the 101.10-meter spilling level. Two gates were open meanwhile at Ambuklao Dam in Benguet on Sunday, at 1.0 meters. These were discharging water at 191.20 cms. Ambuklao Dam's RWL was at 751.24 on Sunday morning, which is near the 752-meter normal high water level (NHWL). Binga Dam also in Benguet had two gates open on Sunday at 1.0 meters, discharging water at 211.51 cms. Its RWL was at 574.10 meters, near the 575-meter NWHL. Magat Dam, which straddles the provinces of Isabela and Ifugao, had two gates open at 3.0 meters. Water discharge is at 656.39 cms. The dam's RWL was at 185.84 meters, a few meters away from the NHWL of 190 meters. PAGASA said the Southwest Monsoon will continue to bring rains over parts of the country on Sunday. Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro may have occasional rains due to the monsoon. Moderate to at times heavy rains may possibly result in floods or landslides. Metro Manila, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, CALABARZON, the rest of Ilocos Region, the rest of Central Luzon, and the rest of MIMAROPA may expect cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms also due to the Southwest Monsoon.
