SZA Shares Behind-the-Scenes Footage of a New ‘Guest Star' Collaboration With Lizzo
SZA might be extraordinarily busy as she prepares to head overseas with her and Kendrick Lamar's Grand National Tour — but that didn't stop her from swooping in for a quick recording session with her friend Lizzo.
In a series of posts to her Instagram Stories early Friday (June 20), SZA teased fans with a forthcoming collaboration between her and the 'Juice' singer. What started as a glimpse of Lizzo's own new music in the video, the 'Luther' singer started sharing clips of her voice playing alongside Lizzo's in the background. 'Working on a guest star for bookie @lizzobeeating's new mixtape,' SZA wrote in one caption, while calling their link-up a 'lil after-dinner session' in another.

Back in March, Lizzo announced that she was officially 'done' preparing her new album Love in Real Life, adding that she 'got an emergency root canal, announced SNL & finished my album all in one day.' While it's unclear whether Love in Real Life is the 'mixtape' SZA referred to in her post, the album has yet to receive an official release date.
Earlier this week, SZA opened up to Chappell Roan about her friendship with Lizzo during a conversation for Interview Magazine. Speaking about the first time she and the 'About Damn Time' singer met, SZA praised the 'organic and very random' connection they immediately shared. 'One day, we were on the same tour, and I was like, 'We're about to drive out to Lake Michigan, do you want to come?' And she was like, 'Yeah, let's go,'' SZA recalled. 'And then we just got drunk and hung out, and we kept doing that, and then our lives and careers progressed, and we kept talking and hanging out.'
The new song wouldn't be the first time the pair have worked together, either. Back in 2023, SZA appeared on a revamped version of Lizzo's 2022 hit 'Special.' In May, Lizzo even crashed the stage during SZA and Lamar's tour stop in Los Angeles to perform the track with her on stage.
The news comes after SZA and her co-headliner Lamar wrap the first leg of their 2025 Grand National Tour. Starting in July, the pair will begin performances across Europe — including shows in Paris, London, Barcelona and Rome — and close out their headline-making run with a set of shows in Australia this December.

Sarah Sherman ‘started hysterically sobbing' after her ‘SNL' checks were sent to late comedy icon's estate
Sarah Sherman is recounting a heartbreaking moment. The 'Saturday Night Live' star, 32, recently revealed a cosmic connection she had to the late Gilda Radner, who appeared on the sketch comedy show from 1975 to 1980, before her 1989 death from ovarian cancer at age 42. 'I got a giant envelope in the mail,' Sherman recounted on Vulture's 'Good One' podcast last week, 'with a handwritten letter that was like, 'Hey, I'm Gilda Radner's brother. Eminem's Timeless Classic Becomes A Top 10 Bestseller

These days, the rapper remains on the weekly rankings thanks solely to some of his decades-old compositions. As Americans continue to buy and stream some of the hip-hop superstar's classics, one track in particular reasserts itself as his most successful and becomes a proper bestseller yet again. "Lose Yourself" returns to a pair of Billboard rankings this frame, breaking back onto both the Rap Digital Song Sales and R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales tallies. It reenters those lists at Nos. 8 and 14, respectively. It wouldn't be unusual for a musician as celebrated as Eminem to score one or two hits in the United States, even with decades-old tunes. But what is notable is that "Lose Yourself" remains a top 10 bestseller — albeit only on a genre-specific roster. "Lose Yourself" is approaching 500 weeks on both of the charts on which it currently appears. If it can hold on for another month on the Rap Digital Song Sales tally, it will hit that milestone. While it still has several dozen more frames to go on the broader R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales ranking, it seems likely that it will eventually make it to that landmark figure as well. Amazingly, despite the fact that "Lose Yourself" has spent nearly 500 spans on both charts, it has yet to reach No. 1 on either of them. Eminem's smash has stalled in the runner-up space on both sales lists, coming frustratingly close to adding to his growing roster of champions on more than one occasion. Eminem's Oscar-Winning Smash Eminem released "Lose Yourself" in October 2002. The song served as the lead single from the 8 Mile soundtrack. The tune was a huge commercial success, ruling the Hot 100 for 12 consecutive frames and dominating multiple other rankings around the world. In addition to becoming yet another hit for the rapper, "Lose Yourself" also won Eminem several Grammy Awards and even the Academy Award for Best Original Song, making him the first rapper to snag that prize.
