US President Donald Trump revealed that the country's forces had attacked three Iranian nuclear sites in a "very successful attack".
He also revealed that the heavily fortified Fordow nuclear facility is "gone". According to the media, Trump's decision on Saturday to join Israel in its attacks against Iran is considered a major escalation of the conflict.
"We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan," Trump revealed via Truth Social, adding that the military planes were now on their way home.
On the other hand, Qatar warned on Sunday of 'catastrophic consequences' after US strikes on Iran. In addition, Oman, which was mediating nuclear talks between the US and Iran, "strongly condemned" attacks on nuclear sites.
The Gulf sultanate "expresses deep concern, denunciation and condemnation of the escalation resulting from the direct air strikes launched by the United States on sites in the Islamic Republic of Iran", AFP cited the official Oman News Agency.

Houthis fire ballistic missile at 'Israel' in first attack since Tehran-Tel Aviv ceasefire

Yemen's Houthi movement said Saturday it launched a ballistic missile at 'Israel', marking its first declared attack since the ceasefire between Iran and 'Israel' took effect on June 24 following their brief but intense 12-day war. The missile, identified by the Houthis as a 'Dhu al-Fiqar' ballistic missile, was reportedly aimed at a 'sensitive Israeli enemy target' in the southern city of Beersheba, according to a statement from Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree. In 'Israel', sirens were heard across multiple areas, prompting brief alarm. The 'Israeli' military later announced that the missile was 'most likely successfully intercepted' and caused no damage. Houthi officials framed the launch as retaliation for 'Israeli' actions in Gaza, where the humanitarian situation continues to deteriorate after months of war. 'The attack was in response to the crimes of the criminal Zionist enemy against civilians in the Gaza Strip,' Saree said in the statement. He added that the group would 'continue its supportive operations until the aggression against Gaza stops and the siege is lifted.'

Trump stated at a recent summit that new talks with Iran would be held next week, but he did not provide any details. A sixth round of US-Iran talks scheduled for Amman on June 15 was cancelled after Israeli strikes on Iranian targets two days earlier. Amid the exchange of attacks between Iran and Israel, US forces bombed key Iranian nuclear sites. In statements to Iranian state television, Araghchi confirmed for the first time that the attacks caused "significant" damage to Iran's nuclear infrastructure. © 2000 - 2025 Al Bawaba (

Trump slams report linking him to $30 billion Iran deal as ‘ridiculous'

US President Donald Trump lashed out at media reports suggesting he planned to offer Iran USD 30 billion to develop non-military nuclear facilities, calling the claim 'ridiculous' and branding it a 'hoax.' In a post published Saturday on his Truth Social platform, Trump wrote, 'Who in the Fake News Media is the SleazeBag saying that 'President Trump wants to give Iran $30 Billion to build non-military Nuclear facilities.' Never heard of this ridiculous idea. It's just another HOAX put out by the Fake News in order to demean. These people are SICK!!!' Trump did not name a specific media outlet or reporter in the post, but he categorically denied any involvement in such a plan, distancing himself from suggestions that he would support financial incentives for Iran's nuclear program, even if restricted to peaceful purposes.
