In a heartfelt Instagram post, Brooke, 37, described an unbreakable spiritual connection with her father and pushed back against media narratives that misrepresented the nature of their estrangement.

In her tribute, Brooke, now Brooke Hogan Oleksy, described the profound impact her father's death had on her. 'When he left this earth, it felt like part of my spirit left with him. I felt it before the news even reached us,' she wrote, recalling the moment Hulk Hogan, real name Terry Bollea, passed away unexpectedly at age 71.
Despite the public perception of a fractured bond, Brooke insisted their connection never truly faded. 'My dad's blood runs through my veins. His eyes shine through my children. And our bond has never broken, not even in his final moments,' she said. 'We had a connection deeper than words, one that spanned lifetimes.'
Brooke acknowledged stepping away from the relationship in recent years, but she was clear it wasn't due to a single argument or dramatic fallout.
'We never had a 'big fight.' My father and I never 'fought.' It was a series of private phone calls no one will ever hear, know, or understand,' she explained.
Brooke and her husband, former NHL player Steven Oleksy, even relocated to Florida to be near him during a stretch of nearly 25 surgeries. Yet something changed. 'Then all of a sudden he didn't want me at surgeries… Everything started getting covered in a thick veil,' she wrote.
'It was like there was a force field around him that I couldn't get through.'

Brooke made the painful decision to protect her emotional well-being. 'During the last two years, I had to step away to protect my heart,' she said. But behind the scenes, Oleksy maintained contact with Hulk, hoping to rebuild the bridge.
After Hulk's death, Brooke discovered her husband's messages, some answered, some not. 'But all of them broke my heart,' she admitted.
Brooke expressed peace in knowing she gave her all. 'He knew I would run through a burning building for him. And in many ways, along the path of life, I did,' she wrote.
In her final message, Brooke offered a moving goodbye. 'Thank you for choosing me in this lifetime, and for loving me so deeply. I love you more than stars in the sky, 4LifeAfterLife.'
