Victoria Beckham Sends Sweet Message To Husband David As She Shares Pictures Of Him In Hospital

Yahoo2 days ago

Victoria Beckham has revealed that her husband Sir David Beckham was recently admitted to hospital.
On Friday morning, the former Spice Girls star shared a picture of the recently-knighted football legend lying in a hospital bed, with his right arm in a sling, on her Instagram story.
He could also be seen with an anode attached to his chest while wearing a hospital gown.
Although Victoria did not share any details of how or why Sir David ended up in hospital, he did seem to be in high spirits, smiling towards the camera in her photo, which she accompanied with the message: 'Get well soon, daddy.'
In a second snap from his hospital bed, the 50-year-old striker could be seen holding a friendship bracelet, again emblazoned with the message: 'Get well soon.'
According to The Sun, David was in hospital for surgery to repair a wrist injury he acquired during a football match more than 20 years ago. David Beckham's team had no comment when contacted by HuffPost UK.
So far, 2025 has been a massive year for the former England striker.
Last month, he celebrated his 50th birthday with a massive, star-studded party, attended by members of his family and some of his A-list friends.
Weeks later, it was revealed he had received a knighthood in King Charles' birthday honours, for his services to both sport and charity.
However, he and his family have been in the headlines for less desirable reasons, amid rumours of a feud that has developed between his eldest son Brooklyn Peltz Beckham and his younger brother Romeo Beckham.
In the last few weeks, David has sent several public messages of support to Brooklyn, which he has not acknowledged publicly. Brooklyn was also absent from his dad's 50th birthday celebrations in May, at which the rest of the family were present.
David and Victoria celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary last year. The couple share four children: 26-year-old Brooklyn, 22-year-old Romeo, 20-year-old Cruz and 13-year-old Harper, who is their only daughter.

The Who Legend Pete Townshend Says Zak Starkey's Exit From Band Has 'Been a Mess'

Pete Townshend admitted he's unsure exactly why Zak Starkey was fired from The Who. More than two months after the drummer parted ways with the legendary British band, Townshend told iPaper, 'It's been a mess.' The trouble with Starkey, the son of Beatles legend Ringo Starr who joined The Who's live lineup 1996, came after a show at London's Royal Albert Hall in March after lead singer Roger Daltrey reportedly had issues with his playing. But Townshend told the outlet that he personally didn't see 'anything wrong.' 'I think Roger just got lost,' he added. 'I have to be careful what I say about Roger because he gets angry if I say anything about him at all. He'll be sacking me next. But that's not to say that he sacked Zak. It's a decision Roger and I tried to make together, but it kind of got out of hand.' Daltrey initially claimed Starkey, 59, 'retired' from The Who to work on a project with his band Mantra Of The Cosmos, Billboard reported. He was rehired for a few days, then another exit was announced. In May, Starkey set the record straight on what went down with the Who via a fiery Instagram post. "I was fired,' he wrote. 'Roger's new word for it is 'retired' to complete my other musical projects… So this is simply a load of bollox … Am I fired, retired, deffo not tired as I'm 20 years younger than these guys as they keep saying.' In June, Starkey told Rolling Stone he continues to receive mixed messages from The Who. The drummer noted he heard from Daltrey ahead of the band's tour dates in Italy next month. 'I spoke to Roger last week,' Starkey revealed in the interview. 'He said, 'Don't take your drums out of the warehouse, we might be calling you.' What the f---? These guys are f---in' insane! I've been fired more times than Keith Moon in ten days.'The Who Legend Pete Townshend Says Zak Starkey's Exit From Band Has 'Been a Mess' first appeared on Men's Journal on Jun 23, 2025

Zak Starkey Has Strong Advice For Replacement Drummer

Recently, the son of Ringo Starr, Zak Starkey, found himself out of a job when The Who ousted him from the band. But, The Who is not the only mega-famous band that Starkey has been a part of. From 2005 to 2008, Starkey was the touring drummer for Oasis. And, although you'd think that getting fired from The Who could send Starkey back to Oasis, the truth is he won't be returning to that band either, mostly for timing reasons. However, he does have some advice for the newest Oasis drummer, Joey Waronker. "The thing about groups that you love – like The Who or Oasis – is that it's not a job," Starkey told NME in a new interview. "It's about protecting music." To that point, about protecting the music, Starkey says the key to being a good Oasis drummer is simple. "Make sure you get the tempos right. Then boys know." Starkey might not be touring with Oasis anytime soon again, but he is, kind of, already in a supergroup with two Oasis members. Mantra Of The Cosmos consists of Shaun Ryder, Bez of The Happy Mondays, as well as Andy Bell, of Oasis. And the most recent song, "Domino Bones (Gets Dangerous)," features Oasis songwriter Noel Gallagher ⁣ According to Starkey, when Gallagher heard the new song, he said: "'This is the maddest thing I've ever heard,' and that's a compliment!" 'Suicide Squad' Star Gives Perfect 2-Word Response to Surprise Franz Ferdinand Collaboration

At the Glastonbury 2025 festival on Friday, the Scottish band Franz Ferdinand did a massive victory lap. Not only has the band just released a new album this year, The Human Fear, but it's now been 21 years since the release of the band's biggest hit song ever, "Take Me Out," from their self-titled debut album. And to celebrate that song, and their return to Glastonbury, the band recruited a fellow Scottish legend, actor and musician Peter Capaldi. DC fans will remember Capaldi as Thinker in James Gunn's 2021 film The Suicide Squad, while Doctor Who fans will forever regard Capaldi as the 12th Doctor from that long-running sci-fi series. But, more recently, Capaldi has gone back to his roots of being a rocker, a career he pursued decades ago before becoming an actor. He's just released his second major album this year, and at Glastonbury, Capaldi was brought on stage to play "Take Me Out" with Franz Ferdinand. (You can watch the incredible performance below.) "Alex [Kapranos] just got in touch with me. We had some mutual friends who are musicians. I had been praising Franz Ferdinand, and I think that got back to them," Capaldi said in an interview with NME. When the band asked him to perform their most famous hit, "Take Me Out," Capaldi's answer was simple: "Yes, please!' If you're wondering if Peter Capaldi is related to much-younger singer Lewis Capaldi, the answer is yes. They are second cousins once removed, which is why when Kapranos introduced Peter Capaldi at Glastonbury, he called him "the original Capaldi." Lewis Capaldi also played the year, Capaldi told NME that his newest album, Sweet Illusions, was partly inspired by the "fat guitars" of classic Oasis records. At 66, Capaldi is a bit older than the Gallagher brothers — Noel is 58, Liam is 52 — but that doesn't mean he couldn't hang with those guys, too. In fact, maybe, just maybe, Capaldi's performance with Franz Ferdinand is only the beginning. During the same concert, Franz Ferdinand also continued their collaboration with rapper Master Peace at Glastonbury. Previously, Master Peace played with Franz Ferdinand in Glasgow on June 24.
