Blackstone-backed firms invest ₹1,060 crore in Embassy Developments
Bellanza Developers Private Limited is a promoter group entity. Of the total investment, Bellanza Developers has infused ₹415 crore and NCL SG Holdings has deployed ₹645 crore into the company.

The infusion was done via conversion of 12.7 crore equity shares, originally issued on 21 May 2024, under a preferential allotment approved by shareholders. The shares were allotted at ₹111.51 apiece upon receipt of the remaining 75 per cent of the issue price.
Post allotment, Embassy Developments' total paid-up equity capital is ₹269.9 crore, comprising ₹134.9 crore in equity shares of face value ₹2 each. The revised shareholding of the promoter group stands at 42.96 per cent and Blackstone Real Estate Fund at 10.93 per cent. The company has 8.9 crore outstanding warrants pending conversion up to November 2025.
Specialising in the construction and development of residential, commercial and Special Economic Zone (SEZ) projects, Embassy Developments focuses on Bengaluru, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) and the National Capital Region (NCR), with additional presence in Chennai, Jodhpur, Vadodara, Vizag and Indore.
Embassy Developments further said the equity participation underlines the strong and continued confidence shown by the promoter group and another key shareholder in the growth roadmap of EDL, with its substantial pipeline of residential and commercial projects across the country.
The company stated that the funds will support upcoming project launches totalling 7.7 million sq ft, valued at over ₹15,000 crore.

Early investor Banga to sell 2% in Nykaa
Representative image MUMBAI: Indian entrepreneur and founder of Hong Kong-based The Caravel Group, Harindarpal Singh Banga, and his family are selling around a 2.1% stake in Nykaa worth about $140.3 million (Rs 1,200 crore) through a block deal on Thursday, the term sheet of the share sale showed. The Banga family was one of the early investors in the Falguni Nayar-led e-commerce firm and currently holds nearly a 5% stake in the firm. The Banga family will offload about 60 million shares at a 5.5% discount to Wednesday's closing price. Shares of Nykaa ended at Rs 212 apiece on the BSE on Wednesday, up 2.3%. "The Banga family invested in Nykaa when it was valued at about $25 million. Today, the company is valued at close to $7 billion. This is one of the top investor exits," said an industry source. Govt returns Rs 47.07cr to over 1.27L duped chit fund investors
1 2 Bhubaneswar: The state govt has restituted Rs 47.07 crore to 1,27,137 duped chit fund investors in the last one year, chief minister Mohan Charan Majhi informed on Wednesday. In an indirect attack on the previous Naveen Patnaik govt, Majhi said only 2,79,109 victims had received refunds to the tune of Rs 119 crore during 2014-2024. "After the new govt assumed office in the state, under the direction of chief minister the process for refunding chit fund money has been simplified and decentralised to the district level. This has expedited the refund process, and in the past year, the state govt has returned Rs 47.07 crore to 1,26,137 small depositors," according to a statement from the chief minister's office (CMO). The CMO indicated that an additional 5 lakh small depositors would receive their refunds within 3 to 4 months. "For a decade from 2014 to 2024, only 2,79,109 small depositors had received a total refund of Rs 119 crore," the statement noted. Compensating chit fund victims was a crucial BJP electoral commitment last year. The BJP state president, Manmohan Samal, in Sept last year announced that the govt would reimburse defrauded chit fund victims within 18 months.
