Forest forward Gardner joins Lincoln on loan
The 19-year-old has made just one first-team appearance for Forest, which was as a substitute in their FA Cup fourth-round win against Bristol City that went to a penalty shooutout last season.
Gardner - whose loan move comes on the same day that he has agreed a new Forest contract - featured for the Reds' Under-21 side in the EFL Trophy this season, and has scored six goals in 12 appearances for their Premier League 2 side.
Lincoln boss Michael Skubala says Gardner is a player they have been "watching closely for quite some time" and who has been brought in after Jack Moylan suffered a potentially season-ending injury.
"It has been sped along quicker because of the Jack Moylan situation," Skubala told BBC Radio Lincolnshire.
"We see him as that player with a little bit more of a Jack Moylan-profile that can do special things and open the game up.
"He is a real exciting prospect. We would definitely have looked to do this in the summer, but it has probably been sped along into January with the view to even keep him if he does well."

Nottingham Forest sign WSL2 title-winner Brougham
Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of former London City Lionesses centre-back Georgia Brougham on a free transfer. The Tricky Trees announced the news via a post on their official club website late last night. The 29-year-old joins Nottingham Forest after leaving former club London City Lionesses earlier this summer. The player has signed a two-year deal at The City Ground. Brougham spent two seasons with London City Lionesses and was a regular in the side. She helped the club win the Barclays WSL2 title last season. The player has also turned out for Manchester City, Everton, Birmingham City and Leicester City in her career to date. She was a member of the Everton side that were crowned FA Women's Super League 2 Spring Series winners back in 2017. After joining Nottingham Forest, Brougham said 'I'm delighted to be here. After speaking to everyone involved, hearing the ambitions of the Club, it's exciting to be a part of this team. 'I'm looking forward to integrating with the team and just seeing how far we can go, anything's possible with the way the Club are backing the women's team.' Brougham is Nottingham Forest's fourth signing of the summer transfer window. The club are expected to add further Barclays WSL2 experience to their ranks in the coming weeks.

Morgan Gibbs-White joins Nottingham Forest for training camp in Portugal amid Tottenham interest
Morgan Gibbs-White has flown out to Portugal to join the Nottingham Forest training camp. The attacking midfielder did not initially join up with the rest of the squad when they flew out on Monday but has done so after being allowed extra time at home because of a private family matter. Nuno Espirito Santo's side are preparing for friendly games against Fulham on Saturday and Estoril on Wednesday. Advertisement Gibbs-White has found himself at the centre of a transfer wrangle with Tottenham, after the London club made a £60million bid for Forest's most important player on July 10. Forest were frustrated that Spurs' bid happened to precisely match a confidential release clause in Gibbs-White's contract and that they had not given their permission for talks to proceed with the player. Gibbs-White played for Forest in their last pre-season game, against Monaco at Chesterfield, when the England man applauded the Forest fans, before making a heart shape with his hands, as he was substituted at half-time. Forest are in an awkward position with Gibbs-White having two years remaining on the contract he signed when he joined in a £25m, possibly rising to £42m, deal from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2022. The player has so far not agreed to put pen to paper on a new deal. Forest had already sold Anthony Elanga to Newcastle for £52m, a decision they might have made differently had they been aware of the situation that was arising with Gibbs-White. In the meantime, Forest continue to work to add to their own ranks, with Dan Ndoye of Bologna and James McAtee of Manchester City high on their list of targets.

Wrexham close in on Forest midfielder O'Brien
Wrexham are closing on the signing of Nottingham Forest midfielder Lewis O'Brien. The 26-year-old has been linked with a number of Championship clubs this summer after an impressive loan spell at Swansea City in the second half of last season. Swansea had been keen to re-sign O'Brien, though their hopes always looked a little slim because of the finances involved in a potential deal. Wrexham are now poised to win the race for the former Huddersfield Town player's signature. O'Brien has a year to run on his Forest contract, meaning Wrexham are likely to pay significant fee for his services as well as meeting his salary demands. He will leave the City Ground having made only 17 appearances since joining Forest following their promotion to the Premier League in 2022. Wrexham sign ex-Owls forward Windass Wrexham sign Bolton midfielder Thomason O'Brien played 16 times for Swansea after joining on loan in the mid-season window, and played a key role as they pulled clear of relegation danger to finish 11th. He also had loan spells at Los Angeles FC, Middlesbrough and DC United after falling out of favour at Forest. O'Brien's signing would be another statement of intent by Wrexham, who are owned by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, as they prepare for life in the Championship after three successive promotions. The north Wales club have already brought in goalkeeper Danny Ward from Leicester City, forward Ryan Hardie from Plymouth Argyle, left-back Liberato Cacace for a club-record fee from Empoli, midfielder George Thomason from Bolton Wanderers and forward Josh Windass, who was a free agent after leaving financially troubled Sheffield Wednesday.
