Chhaya Kadam is at the Cannes Film Festival 2025 for her Marathi film, Snow Flower. For her first appearance, she opted for an ombre saree.
For her appearance at the 78th edition of the prestigious festival, Chhaya Kadam chose to champion Indian craftsmanship in the most elegant way possible.
Chhaya Kadam has made a dazzling entrance at the French Riviera for the Cannes Film Festival 2025. After earning global acclaim last year with All We Imagine As Light, which bagged the prestigious Grand Prix award, the talented actress is back – and this time, with even more to celebrate.
What makes this year particularly special is the premiere of Chhaya Kadam's directorial debut, Snow Flower, a Marathi film that is set to grace the Cannes stage. But before the big screening, Chhaya is already turning heads with her latest Instagram entry.
For her first appearance at the 78th edition of the prestigious festival, Chhaya Kadam chose to champion Indian craftsmanship in the most elegant way possible. She wore a breathtaking saree from the homegrown label Suta Bombay. Her ombré red-and-pink mul modal saree was a visual delight.
The drape featured a unique smocked pattern that added texture and intrigue without the need for heavy embellishments. The soft ruffled hem and tasselled pallu added movement and a playful flair to the otherwise classic silhouette. Draped traditionally with pleats in the front and the pallu falling gracefully over one shoulder, Chhaya's saree was a true ode to Indian tradition with a contemporary spin.
The actress paired the six-yard wonder with a high-neck red blouse that had elbow-length sleeves and pink accents on the hem and borders. Her accessories included a bracelet, vibrant pink and blue earrings and a pair of sunglasses to shield her eyes from the sun. A low bun adorned with floral accessories completed the look.
Keeping the makeup understated yet elegant, Chhaya went for flushed cheeks, a pink lip, kohl-rimmed eyes and a simple round bindi. We can't wait to see what other stylish moments the actor has in store for us at this year's Cannes Film Festival.

Dedicate my win to incredible mothers of this world, says Rani Mukerji

Rani Mukerji, who bagged her first-ever National Film Award nearly 30 years after entering the film industry, says she feels "overwhelmed" to have received the honour. The award, for the Best Actress, was announced for her performance role in Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway, where she played a mother fighting to bring her children back home. Calling it a big moment in her long journey in cinema, the Mardaani actress shared her feelings in her statement, reflecting on the "incredible films" she has done and thanked the jury for recognising her work. Rani also shared the joy of the win with the team behind the film, calling it a 'truly special project.' 'I'm overwhelmed to have won the National Award for my performance in Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway. Incidentally, this is the first-ever National Award in my 30-year career. As an actor, I have been fortunate to have some incredible films in my body of work and have received so much love for them. 'I thank the National Award jury for honouring my work in Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway. I share this moment with the entire team of the film--my producers Nikkhil Advani, Monisha, and Madhu, my director Ashima Chibber, and everyone who worked on this truly special project that celebrated the resilience of motherhood,' she said. Rani also added that for her, this award means more than just recognition for a single film and shared that the honour is very 'emotional and personal' for her, as the film's message is close to her heart. 'I dedicate my National Award to all the incredible mothers of this world. There is nothing like a mother's love and her ferocity to protect her own. The story of this Indian immigrant mother, who went all out for her child and took on a nation, shook me deeply... a mother's love for her child is unconditional,' she said. 'I realised this when I had my own. So, this win, this film, feels deeply emotional and personal. A mother can move mountains for her children and also make the world a better place. This film tried to show this,' Rani added. Rani's role in Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway is based on the real-life case of Sagarika Chakraborty, whose children were taken by the Norwegian government in 2011. Rani plays Debika, the mother who fights the foreign legal system to bring her kids back. Since her debut in Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat in 1996, Rani has built a solid career. From winning hearts with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in 1998 to playing bold and fearless women in many films, she has chosen many roles that show strength and emotion.

F1, directed by Joseph Kosinski and starring Brad Pitt, Kerry Condon, Damson Idris, Javier Bardem and others, is still holding its own at the Indian box office. The film's collections have not been affected, despite it losing all of its high performing IMAX screens, and despite facing new local competition every week. After 5 weeks, the movie's collections stand at Rs 88 crore and it still has some steam left. There is news that the movie will release in IMAX screens and if that happens on a large scale, a Rs 100 crore touch-and go finish can't be ruled out. For now, it looks to cross Mission: Impossible 8 to become the highest Hollywood grosser of the summer. The Week Wise India Net Box Office Collections Of F1 Are As Under Week India Net Collection 1 Rs 34.50 crore 2 Rs 24.90 crore 3 Rs 13.45 crore 4 Rs 10.90 crore 5 Rs 4.25 crore Total Rs 88 crore net in 5 weeks F1 Heads For A Usd 600 Million Global Finish F1 released with very subdued expectations. The movie was never meant to do over USD 300 million worldwide. However, the racing film kept crushing predictions, week after week. Now, it is expected to end its run in the USD 580 - 600 million vicinity, and who knows, the late legs can help it even go beyond USD 600 million. There's no doubt that F1 is the summer's biggest surprise, even though there have been more profitable films all summer. Lilo and Stitch, How To Train Your Dragon, Jurassic World: Rebirth and Superman are bigger hits but none of them surprised the trackers more than F1 did.
