Meghan Markle forced to issue ‘As Ever' refunds
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, promised free replacement jars to her loyal buyers — just weeks after her website experienced a similar blunder with its $28 honey.
'Due to high demand, we are unable to fulfil your order of the apricot spread at this time. We are refunding the purchase of this item by the end of this week,' a message from the royal read.
The lifestyle company assured customers that they would be 'the first to receive it, free of charge' once stock becomes available.
The popular apricot spread, which sold within an hour of it going live, retails for $9 a pop, with the special keepsake packaging on sale for $14.
Needless to say, some customers were less than pleased when they were greeted with a 404 error message after entering their card details.
'Just received an email from As Ever, they are unable to fulfil my apricot order but will give me a full refund and a free replacement when it becomes available again,' one person wrote on X. 'I only have a half a jar of my raspberry spread left. It's war tomorrow!!!'
Another person wrote on X, 'I hope they fix this. At the minimum comms should be out literally on the day instead of waiting for your product for a while and being disappointed. Not a good customer experience even though the customer service is good after the fact.'
However, other shoppers praised Markle's excellent customer service.
'A refund and the product for free when it restocks? That's top tier customer service,' one person wrote on X.
While another added on X, 'I don't even want my refund, I just genuinely want Meghan to know she is so loved!'
The apricot spread had become a fan-favourite ever since Markle teased it on her Netflix series 'With Love, Meghan.'
The spread, which is not called jam due to its lowered sugar content, is manufactured by the Republic of Tea, a US company headquartered in Larkspur, California, with its factory located 2,000 miles away in Illinois.
The company also produces Markle's pricey orange blossom honey.
The latest As Ever drop included several newbie items, notably the former royal's hotly-awaited Rosé line.
The 2023 Napa Valley Rosé launched Tuesday, but only offered customers the chance to purchase either three bottles for $90, six bottles for $159 and 12 bottles for $300.
'This debut rosé marks the beginning of As Ever's thoughtful expansion into wine, with a Méthode Champenoise Napa Valley sparkling wine planned for the near future and additional varietals to follow,' a spokesperson told The Post.
The wine range, which is produced by Fairwinds Estate in Napa Valley, saw Markle reportedly spend months developing the blend and conducting taste tests.

Trump to sign 'big, beautiful' bill on US Independence Day
US President Donald Trump will sign his flagship tax and spending bill Friday in a pomp-laden Independence Day ceremony featuring fireworks and a flypast by the type of stealth bomber that bombed Iran. Trump pushed Republican lawmakers to get his unpopular "One Big Beautiful Bill" through a reluctant Congress in time for him to sign it into law on the US national holiday -- and they did so with a day to spare Thursday. Ever the showman, Trump will now meld a victory lap over the bill -- which cements his radical second term agenda -- with a grand party at the White House marking 249 years of independence from Britain. Trump announced that he would have a signing ceremony at the White House at 4:00 pm (2000 GMT) on Friday, and that the pilots who carried out the bombing on Iran were among those who had been invited. "We have the hottest country anywhere in the world today," the jubilant president told supporters at a rally in Iowa Thursday where he boasted of a "phenomenal" victory in passing the bill. "The age of America is upon us. This is a golden age." The bill is the latest in a series of big political wins at home and abroad for Trump, and underlines the 79-year-old's dominance over both the Republican Party and US politics at large, for now. But the tycoon and former reality TV star has glossed over deep concerns from his own party and voters that it will balloon the national debt, and gut health and welfare support. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said on Thursday that the ceremony would be "on the Fourth of July, just as the president always said and hoped it would be." First Lady Melania Trump was also set to attend the Independence Day event. The president's wife had told reporters on Thursday that a B-2 bomber, the type of aircraft that bombed Iran's nuclear facilities on June 22, and fighter jets would carry out a flypast for the July 4 event. And Trump told the rally-goers in Iowa that the pilots and others who worked on the mission would join him for the festivities. "They're going to be in Washington tomorrow, at the White House, we're going to be celebrating," he said. - Deep misgivings - Trump forced through the bill despite deep misgivings in the Republican Party -- and the vocal opposition of his billionaire former ally, Elon Musk. It squeezed past a final vote in the House of Representatives 218-214 after Republican Speaker Mike Johnson worked through the night to corral the final group of dissenters. The sprawling mega-bill honors many of Trump's campaign promises: boosting military spending, funding a mass migrant deportation drive and committing $4.5 trillion to extend his first-term tax relief. The legislation is the latest in a series of big wins for Trump, including a Supreme Court ruling last week that curbed lone federal judges from blocking his policies, and the US air strikes that led to a ceasefire between Israel and Iran. But it is expected to pile an extra $3.4 trillion over a decade onto the US deficit. At the same time it will shrink the federal food assistance program and force through the largest cuts to the Medicaid health insurance scheme for low-income Americans since its 1960s launch. Up to 17 million people could lose their insurance coverage under the bill, according to some estimates. Scores of rural hospitals are expected to close as a result. Democrats hope public opposition to the bill will help them flip the House in the 2026 midterm election, pointing to data showing that it represents a huge redistribution of wealth from the poorest Americans to the richest.

‘Sad': John Travolta's journey from Hollywood great to Hollywood has been
He was once one of the biggest actors in the world, having previously been nominated for not one but two Oscars, but in recent years, John Travolta has become somewhat of a Hollywood joke. Despite numerous successes throughout his career, in movies like Grease and Saturday Night Fever, Travolta's filmography has been plagued with numerous box office bombs that have derailed his career time and time again. Travolta's latest films, High Rollers and crime thriller Mob Land, failed to win over viewers, with the latter earning a paltry $171 at the Box Office following its UK release. It's a tragic outcome for Travolta, who could once demand a whopping $20 million from studio execs for a movie. A Disney executive who has worked with Travolta told the Mail that the actor had the chance to be considered one of the acting greats, but instead has long outstayed his welcome among Hollywood's elite. 'If Travolta had stopped after his Pulp Fiction comeback he would have gone down in Hollywood history as one of the all-time greats. A legend who came back for one last hurrah. But now he's like that sad guest who has overstayed his welcome at the party.' Currently still unrated on Rotten Tomatoes, The Guardian said of High Rollers: 'A heart-slowing work of staggering stupidity and charmlessness, ineptly made and quite frankly dull except when its flaws become so egregious you can't help but guffaw.' It's the first in a longline of flops. Back in 2018 he became one of the first actors to ever score not one, but two 0 per cent rated movies on Rotten Tomatoes in the same year; thriller Speed Kill and biopic, Gotti. In recent years, Travolta has fallen into the trap of genre films referred to within the industry as 'geezer teezers', made most famous in recent times by Bruce Willis. Willis, whose health was slowly deteriorating during the 2010s, starred in several films until his 2022 retirement; he typically only worked for one or two shooting days per film and was sometimes in the film for as little as seven minutes. Having a big-name actor helps bring attention to films that are made on low budgets but usually later become profitable through rentals and sales. Rumours about Travolta's personal life has also impacted his career, with it being revealed by Hollywood mogul Barry Diller that he refused to star in box office hit American Gigolo due to it's 'gay subtext'. The film ultimately grossed 10 times its budget at the box office and was a big hit for eventual leading man Richard Gere.

Why a photo comparison of Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom is going viral
COMMENT A photo comparison of Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom going viral has struck a nerve with many women. The former Hollywood power couple announced their split today in a joint statement and it used the typical flowery language that accompanies a celebrity break-up - ever since Gwyneth Paltrow made 'consciously uncoupling' cool with Chris Martin. The pop singer, 40, and actor, 48, have been engaged for six years after getting together back in 2017. They welcomed their daughter Daisy in 2020. In a joint statement the pair said that their daughter will remain their 'priority' and they will focus on moving forward as a family with 'love, stability and mutual respect', but their romantic relationship is over. Rumours have been swirling for weeks that their relationship is over, and the fact that Orlando Bloom attended Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's wedding solo only increased the pressure. While Bloom was seen looking glam and hanging out with fellow wedding guests like A-lister Sydney Sweeney and Kylie Jenner, Perry was touring across the world with her Lifetimes Tour and was spotted travelling with their young daughter. It is a comparison that fans and particularly women are struggling with, because, well, no one wants to see their ex-partner hanging out in Italy and looking relaxed and gorgeous. You want them to be housebound and gaining some stress break-up weight. Under no circumstances do you want them looking tanned and hanging out with movie stars who are in their 20s. One particular tweet went viral as someone online pointed out the stark difference in the lives since their separation. Bloom is rubbing shoulders with upcoming A-listers like Sydney Sweeney, and Perry is seen walking through an airport with their young daughter. He is having a hot man European summer, and she's dealing with airport security lines; it hardly seems fair. He looks like he's never been doing better, and she looks like she's struggling through a difficult time. Online women have shown a lot of support for Perry, commenting that they feel 'so bad' or 'so sorry' for her. 'This is why I don't trust men,' one wrote. Others, though, don't really get it. As someone wrote, 'Orlando has done nothing wrong', and another said the comparison photos left them more 'confused' than anything else. Women, though, in general seem to get it, because it isn't really about Bloom or Perry personally, but rather what the photos represent. While Perry is with their daughter and dealing with a demanding work schedule, Bloom is on holiday and living it up. The truth is, photos seldom tell us how anyone feels. We've all been at a party and looked like we were having the time of our lives and then cried in the Uber on the way home. But it is hard for Bloom's actions not to look flippant. No one wants their ex to be having the time of their lives days after you've called it off, while you're trekking through an airport. The photos have hit a nerve with women because we all know what it is like to have your heartbroken and feel like the man that things didn't work out with is doing perfectly fine. That is really annoying! While it's true; Bloom has done nothing wrong, the comparison photos certainly don't feel right when you're looking at them.
