PMR 2025 Heads To Terengganu With People-centered Offerings From July 10 To 12

KUALA LUMPUR, July 7 (Bernama) -- The MADANI Rakyat programme (PMR) 2025 will head to Terengganu from July 10 to 12, bringing a wide range of services and initiatives directly to the people.
The event is spearheaded by the Ministry of Works (KKR) and the Implementation Coordination Unit of the Prime Minister's Department, with support from the Performance Acceleration Coordination Unit, also under the Prime Minister's Department, as the lead secretariat.
In a statement, KKR said the three-day programme at Pasar Kedai Payang and surrounding areas carries the theme 'Pembangunan MADANI, Rakyat Sejahtera', in line with the Malaysia MADANI vision and the government's aspiration for holistic development, both physical and spiritual.
'A balanced MADANI development model has the potential to drive national progress, boost the economy and most importantly, enhance the well-being of the people.
'In line with this theme, PMR 2025 Terengganu will feature more targeted initiatives tailored to the needs of the local community,' the statement read.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to officiate the closing ceremony of the programme on July 12, which is expected to be attended by Federal and state senior leaders.
The public is encouraged to take advantage of a wide range of services, including Royal Malaysia Police traffic summons discounts, free health screenings, a job fair, free motorcycle oil changes, as well as haircuts.
Also available are helmet exchange services by the Road Transport Department, government service booths and exhibitions, community wellness initiatives and MADANI sales.
Headline events include the Tautan Hati Ganu Bersama Rabbani' nasyid performance, a Selawat recitation and thanksgiving feast, a squid jigging carnival, tech and innovation showcases, virtual reality experiences and lucky draws.

KUALA LUMPUR, July 7 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has filed an application to forfeit over RM169 million in cash belonging to former prime minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob. MACC, represented by the deputy public prosecutor as the applicant, filed the application at the Sessions Court here naming Ismail Sabri's former political secretary Datuk Mohammad Anuar Mohd Yunus and the former prime minister himself as first and second respondents. In the application, the commission is seeking a court order to forfeit cash seized from the first respondent for the Malaysian government, including RM14,772,150 in Malaysian currency; SGD6,132,350 in Singapore Dollars, USD1,461,400 in US Dollars, CHF 3 million in Swiss Francs, EUR12,164,150 in Euros, JPY363,000,000 in Japanese Yen, GBP50,250 in British Pound, NZD44,600 in New Zealand Dollars, AED34,750,000 in Emirati Dirham, and AUD352,850 in Australian Dollars.

In a post on X, Ahmad Zahid, who is also the Minister of Rural and Regional Development, said Felda is no longer just relying on traditional sectors but is now exploring the fields of education, entrepreneurship, food technology, arts and culture to ensure its survival and success. "Since its establishment 69 years ago, Felda has not only been the backbone of rural development, but has also opened up opportunities for more than 112,638 settlers and almost three million Felda generations nationwide to enjoy a better life. "Felda today is no longer just about rubber, oil palm and land scheme. It is undergoing a process of reorganising its old strengths to face new challenges, to remain relevant, sustainable and continue to be the pride of the country. "I would like to express my deepest appreciation to all Felda settlers for their sacrifices, efforts and unwavering spirit since the establishment of Felda. Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi said the RM40 million project is a strategic joint venture between FarmByte Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Johor Corporation (JCorp), and Singapore-based agri-tech company Archisen Pte Ltd. He said the facility, which grows produce such as ice plant salad, is located in the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ).
