The tragic news emerges just weeks after his spouse, Sky, was forced to dismiss speculation that the wrestler had fallen into a coma.
The 90s legend became equally renowned for his dominance in the wrestling ring and his chaotic personal life beyond it, particularly his stormy romantic history.
The WWE champion, who boasted a reported fortune of $24 million, walked down the aisle three times, fathered two offspring, and endured numerous failed relationships.

The grappling sensation rose to stardom in 1983, the identical year he exchanged vows with his first spouse. Hulk tied the knot with his initial wife, Linda, in 1983, welcoming two youngsters together - daughter Brooke and son Nick.
Linda appeared with Hulk on the reality programme "Hogan Knows Best," which chronicled their domestic situation and Hulk's professional journey.
Their union collapsed in 2009, following a widely-publicised split with Linda alleging Hulk had conducted an affair with Brooke's friend Christiane Plante. Linda's representative, Gary Smith, revealed to E!
News at the time, "When Linda discovered Hulk had [an affair] with Brooke's best friend, Christiane Plante, she made the decision to call it quits on the marriage.

Hulk's lawyer David Houston responded to Linda's statement at the time, "It is unfortunate Linda Hogan will do virtually anything to keep herself in the public spotlight.
"We are not going to demean this process nor the family any longer by responding to what amounts to pathetic pleas for attention."

In 2010, a year after his divorce from Linda, Hulk remarried - this time to Jennifer McDaniel. The union lasted for 11 years before ending in 2021, allegedly due to a sex tape scandal involving Hulk and another woman.
Coinciding with the couple's marriage breakdown, intimate photographs of Jennifer were leaked to the public.
Hogan confirmed the couple were no longer married in February 2022, announcing it on social media after images emerged of him with a new partner, Sky.
He informed fans at the time on X, writing: "Yo Maniacs just for the record, the Facebook and Instagram posts are of me and my girlfriend Sky, I am officially divorced. Sorry I thought everyone already knew, love my Maniacs4Life."

In 2023, Hulk walked down the aisle for a third time, marrying Sky Daily just two months after announcing their engagement.
The wrestling legend proposed in July 2023 at actor Corin Nemec's wedding reception and they exchanged vows on September 22, 2023.
Hulk's daughter Brooke Hogan was notably absent from the wedding, citing her own healing and happiness as reasons for maintaining distance from her family.
Before Hulk's death was officially confirmed, Sky was compelled to dismiss speculation he was in a coma.
Taking to social media she reassured supporters, "No, he's definitely not in a coma. His heart is strong, and there was never any lack of oxygen or brain damage... none of those rumors are true."
She then insisted there was "no need for the drama or panic some people try to stir up".

Teen girl suffers horror head injury after 'freak accident' on fairground ride
Police confirmed they are liaising with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) following the incident on Saturday night. A teenage girl has been left with potentially life-changing head injuries after her hair became trapped on a ride at a popular fair. "I'm so happy with my Botox and if you're like me and still want to look 23, then it's a good idea." Just a few weeks ago, Helen recalled how she was verbally abused by a man on the Tube for standing up for another woman. She explained how the woman had been harassed by the man and when she stood up for the woman, she was verbally abused too. "He was really awful and I actually felt really intimidated, and I felt like I couldn't say much to him because I did feel really intimidated by him. He said to me, it was like the weirdest thing he could have said, 'You've got so much Botox in your forehead', and I was sat there with an iced coffee, and he was like, 'I'm surprised you can even drink through a straw,'" she recalled.

'My dad was the most incredible person I've ever known and will always be my hero. He was the most kind, loving and amazing father anybody could ask for. I feel so blessed to have had the greatest dad in the world. He was not only the best dad but also my mentor and my best friend. He always has been my best friend and I love him and miss him more than I could ever explain. 'I thanked him for everything he has ever done for me and told him how much I loved him and hugged him every chance I got. I spent a lot of time with him the past few years after moving back to Florida to be closer to him and I am so grateful for those memories. They are the best moments in my life.'
