WP crowned unofficial U13 Craven Week champions in East London
This was WP's ninth time they ranked first in the competition after featuring in 13 of the last 14 U13 Craven Week finals.
The contest for the number one seed between the sides was a repeat of two years ago, when WP won by a narrow 10-8.
This time, converted tries from Francois Gouws, Theolin Edwards and Lihlombe Mabengu ensured they won comfortably over their provincial neighbours.
Boland B exacted revenge for their main team beating WP B 23-14 in the unofficial Academy Week final.
EP's main team finished seventh in the rankings after their two wins in four games. They beat Griquas 52-5 in the last game.
Grey Junior centre Bulelani Norman, Jeffreys Bay lock Warren Grootboom, Woodridge No8 Aqhama Macembe all scored two tries with Kabega Primary's Musa Mdongwane and Gill College's Ruben Lotter the other scorers.
Despite showing glimpses of good innovation in their play and forward dominance through the week, Border Central finished as the second-last ranked team in the Craven Week category.
The Blue Bulls beat them 41-12 in their final match. Queen's Primary centre Luke Mpangele, who was among the top performing players for the team, scored a try, with the other five-pointer coming through Selborne Primary's Vuyo Foslara.
Border Country Districts closed the tournament with the most points conceded in the week, a negative 212 difference, losing all four of their games.
EP B finished fifth in the Academy Week standings, finishing with a 17-15 loss to the Golden Lion B team. Right behind EP were Border B, who beat Golden Lions C team 19-0.
The 2026 U13 Craven will be held in Bloemfontein.

Kriel and Stick say Boks won't underestimate Italy at Loftus
Stick shared Kriel's sentiments, adding they must approach the game with intent and professionalism to avoid problems. 'Their backline is always dangerous, as we saw with their clubs in the United Rugby Championship and they have very skilful players. So, we have to handle that tomorrow. They are also trying to build squad depth at the moment, so they are a dangerous unit. 'Adding to that, they are a well-organised team, and the way they balance their game between the forwards and backs makes them a tough opponent. One thing is for certain, if you give them space and time on attack, they can hurt you.' Kriel will become the 67th Test captain for South Africa and Loftus and he describes it as being fortunate. 'It's very special (to lead the team in a Test). There have certainly been a few career highlights in the past, and this occasion is up there with those. But we have a big game tomorrow and I'm very fortunate to have guys like Siya (Kolisi), Eben (Etzebeth), Handré (Pollard) and so many other leaders in the squad to assist me. 'The fact that they are my best friends makes it even better. Obviously, our focus will be on the job at hand, but I'm very proud and it is a big occasion for me.'

'End of an era,' say ex and current SuperSport players and officials on the club's demise
The news that SuperSport United have sold their status to Siwelele Football Club, has been met with contrasting responses in the footballing fraternity since the announcement on Thursday. For those who contributed to building the club at various stages, this turn of events is difficult to take as SuperSport was one of the better-run clubs in the PSL and achieved a lot of success. Over the past 30 years, the club won the league three times in succession under coach Gavin Hunt and a number of cup competitions, while producing some of the finest talent this country has seen. Below are reactions from former players and officials as they come to terms with the club no longer existing. Gavin Hunt (former coach) 'Goodbye to a club that was dear to my heart. A club where so much was achieved by winning trophies, producing players and many memories created.' Thuso Phala (former midfielder) "It's a sad turn of events that such a team is no more. SuperSport United is a team with a lot of history and it is now gone. It is sad indeed." Phil Evans (former defender) 'Absolutely gutted to hear of the sale of SuperSport United, so many great memories. I remained a proper supporter after retirement. It is the end of an era.' Reneilwe 'Yeye' Letsholonyane (former midfielder) 'It is a huge loss for football. This was a team that promoted young talent for the country.
