Amazon Renews ‘Invincible' for Season 5 While You're Still Waiting for Season 4

Today, Prime Video announced that Invincible has been renewed for a fifth season, giving fans even more reason to stay alive long enough to not only witness its already confirmed fourth season, with the promise that more of co-creator Robert Kirkman's cult-classic Image Comics series is in the chamber, ready to be unloaded onto the streamer. The news that Invincible has been renewed for a fifth season shouldn't come as a surprise to fans. During the Season 3 press tour, Robert Kirkman boldly declared that he and Skybound Entertainment plan to release new seasons of Invincible every year until the series fully adapts his 2000s superhero comic book. At San Diego Comic-Con (thanks, GamesRadar+), while discussing the renewal for season four, Kirkman estimated that the show could ideally have around eight seasons or more if Prime Video is willing to indulge them. 'I mean, that sounds ridiculous. A lot of shows don't last that long. The Walking Dead got to go 11 seasons, which is kind of crazy,' Kirkman said. 'So I don't know. I mean, I'm really just focusing on adapting the comic in the most faithful, interesting, enhancing way possible. And so we'll see what it ends up being.' While the declaration came with some tepid worry online over whether the show's animators would be able to match the output of the show and maintain (or exceed) its level of animation quality, today's news will likely comfort fans who felt pointedly afflicted by the gap between its first and second seasons as well as season 2's infamous break between its final stretch of episodes. Tough feelings aside, Prime Video chose not to dwell on those bad vibes. Instead, it celebrated the merriment of its season 5 reveal by sharing a video of its voice cast reacting to the news of its renewal, accompanied by a series of guffaws at how its renewal is a sign of the show's rip-roaring success. Season 5, Mark… this is GOOD NEWS — INVINCIBLE (@InvincibleHQ) July 17, 2025In a press release announcing that Invincible's fifth season is still a long way off, Prime Video praised the show's third season. They highlighted that it was the biggest returning season in Prime Video's original adult animated series catalog. The streamer also celebrated the numerous award nominations the series has received, including Best Animated Series nominations at the Critics' Choice Awards and Emmy nominations. Additionally, Invincible has earned a Certified Fresh ranking on Rotten Tomatoes, making it instantly appealing to those who value reviews at a glance from the site. In io9's review for Invincible Season 3, we walked away liking more than we disliked about the show, celebrating its discernment for leaving parts of the comic book on the cutting room floor, and being completely enamored with Jeffrey Dean Morgan's arrival as Conquest while being a tad less enamored with its violence losing its oomph and Atom Eve becoming the series' Green Lantern in the worst way possible (save for its season finale). Regardless, everything is coming up Viltrumite for Invincible. In addition to future seasons being locked in, fans can also look forward to Invincible VS—a tag fighting game from Skybound Games and Quarter Up, the former developers behind Killer Instinct. With all these future Invincible projects waiting in the wings, here's hoping its comic adaptation soars to even greater animated heights than its past seasons. Invincible is streaming on Prime Video. Want more io9 news? Who Plays Agnes In ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty?' Why Zoé De Grand Maison Looks So Familiar

Zoe De Grand Maison Spoilers ahead for Episodes 1 and 2 of The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3. The Summer I Turned Pretty is back for its bittersweet third and final season. The first two episodes are now streaming, with new episodes dropping weekly on Prime Video. Following the premiere, it's time to unpack one of the new characters introduced this season: Agnes. The third season picks up with Jeremiah and Belly, who are still together and attending Finch College. Belly is heading into the summer before her senior year, while Jeremiah was on track to graduate — but after messing up his credits, he now has to take fall classes as a super senior. Their relationship has been rocky to say the least, with Jeremiah cheating on her in Cabo, Belly hiding that she spent Christmas with Conrad and the usual college drama. Meanwhile, Conrad is off studying to become a doctor and has a new friend of his own to keep him company. In the show, Agnes is introduced as one of Conrad's pre-med friends at Stanford, and she appears to be a steady presence in his life. She's also a character in Jenny Han's book, We'll Always Have Summer, but her role is much smaller compared to her on-screen counterpart. So, who is Agnes, and will she and Conrad develop a romantic relationship? Here's what to know about Agnes and Conrad so far, including the actress who plays her and where you might have seen her before. Who Is Agnes In The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3? In Season 3, Episode 1, we meet Agnes, one of Conrad's close pre-med friends at Stanford. She's accepted into the same summer clinic residency as him, and she appears to be not only a great friend and confidant to the Fisher brother, but also a potential future love interest. According to Decider, Agnes is portrayed somewhat differently in the series than in Jenny Han's third book. Not only is her appearance different — in the text, Conrad describes Agnes as having wavy, chin-length dirty-blond hair, glasses, and skin as pale as milk — but the nature of their relationship is different as well. In the book, Agnes asks Conrad out and they have a fling. Conrad (Christopher Briney) in The Summer I Turned Pretty Photo: Erika Doss © Amazon Content ... In the first episode, we learn that maybe Agnes wanted more, but shes mentions that Conrad was clear from the get go that he wasn't interested in a relationship. She then asks if he's ever been in love, and he tells her only once: Belly. In Episode 2, Conrad is let go from the summer clinic after Dr. Namazy fires him for mislabeling a blood sample. She had previously offered him the day off after learning that Steven was in a serious accident, but he declined. Dr. Namazy tells him he's not ready and lets him go. Later, Agnes visits him at home and talks to him about how he processes and carries his emotions, hinting that she may have a larger role in future episodes than she did in the book. ‘Eclipse fancy Hollywood actors at Wrexham!' - Tom Brady's ‘Built in Birmingham' goal as NFL legend adds documentary to rivalry with Ryan Reynolds & Rob McElhenney

Super Bowl winner is involved with the Blues Record-breaking season enjoyed in 2024-25 Documentary to be streamed on Prime Video Follow GOAL on WhatsApp! 🟢📱 WHAT HAPPENED? NFL legend Brady saw his first season associated with the Blues, after becoming a minority stakeholder, end in relegation disaster - with the appointment of Manchester United icon Wayne Rooney as manager contributing to that demise. THE GOSSIP Birmingham bounced back from that disappointment in style, with some big spending in the transfer market allowing them to best Wrexham and claim the League One title in record-breaking style with 111 points. The story of that campaign is being told by 'Built In Birmingham: Brady and the Blues', with Wrexham co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney facing competition on the field and in the documentary-making department. WHAT BRADY SAID Brady has told his personal blog of an exciting venture: 'Built in Birmingham is an effort to reach the world beyond BCFC's incredible, hardcore blue collar fanbase, and show people what we're all about. 'Show them what it takes to win and what we're doing inside the team to make winning a permanent part of the culture. Birmingham is a city with a team that has seen better days, but is full of people who have shown themselves to be willing to reach down and find within themselves the will and desire to struggle and strive on a daily basis in pursuit of success. 'Those values are contagious. Our hope with the docuseries is that they will rub off on everyone who watches it and inspire them to both join our community and make their own communities stronger.' DID YOU KNOW? Brady added, with a playful dig being aimed in the direction of Reynolds and McElhenney: 'With the documentary, I'm glad we're getting a chance to show the world a glimpse of what Birmingham City is like as we move forward into a brighter, winning future. 'Going into this season, we've had a lot of changes, but we believe we're building something very special with many better days ahead of us. 'You know, Birmingham City has a great song called 'Keep Right On'. I'm confident that if we continue to 'keep right on' finding people and players that value winning, who want to do it the right way, with the right mindset and motivation, and the right values, we can build a global community around the team that rivals organisations like the Savannah Bananas and the All Blacks, and maybe one day soon eclipses what those fancy Hollywood actors are doing over at Wrexham AFC. That would be the true definition of success!' WHAT NEXT FOR BIRMINGHAM? Birmingham and Wrexham will be locking horns again in the Championship next season, as both pursue the ultimate goal of earning Premier League status, with the Blues' exciting documentary series set to air on Amazon Prime Video from August 1.
