Jasmine White's children told investigators it happened during a 'game' she would routinely play with them, CBS-affiliate WSBT in Indiana reported.
The 'game' involved racing to the car, locking the door, and acting like she was going to leave the children behind.

The 8-year-old was holding onto the door handle as White drove between 15 and 20 mph in the apartment's parking lot.
The girl's foot got caught under the rear tire and forced her to the ground, according to WSBT.
She was taken to the hospital with serious head injuries, and was later released.
White pled guilty to two counts of neglect.

Diddy requests overturn of conviction or new trial after 'discriminatory' use of law
Lawyers for Sean "Diddy" Combs are requesting his acquittal, or a new trial altogether, nearly a month after being cleared of the most serious of his sex-crimes charges in a bombshell split decision. Combs' legal team filed a motion late Wednesday, July 30, asking the court to either overturn his conviction on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution or grant him a new trial, according to legal documents obtained by USA TODAY. The request comes days after the embroiled music mogul's team again asked Judge Arun Subramanian to release Combs on a $50 million bond and allow him to live in his Miami mansion – instead of the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York – as he awaits sentencing in October. Combs' legal team once again argues that use of the Mann Act – officially known as the White-Slave Traffic Act, which makes it illegal to transport people across state or international lines for the purpose of prostitution – "in these circumstances is unprecedented." "Mr. Combs, at most, paid to engage in voyeurism as part of a 'swingers' lifestyle. That does not constitute 'prostitution' under a properly limited definition of the statutory term," Combs' team writes. On July 2, jurors found Combs not guilty of racketeering and sex trafficking ex-girlfriends Casandra "Cassie" Ventura Fine and a woman known as "Jane" in his sweeping, nearly two-month trial. The jury convicted the Bad Boy Records founder on charges of transportation to engage in prostitution, which carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison, or 10 years on each count. Prosecutors, though, have signaled that Combs himself may face a lesser time due to federal sentencing guidelines. The motion continues: "The proof at trial showed that he typically hired the services of male escorts or dancers advertised openly through lawful businesses, that the men were paid for their time, and that they enjoyed the activities and had friendships with Ms. Ventura and Jane and were not merely traveling to have sex for money." Trump 'should not pardon' Sean 'Diddy' Combs, Megyn Kelly says If Combs' motion is denied, his legal team will no doubt be awaiting a decision from the White House, after President Donald Trump weighed in on the possibility of pardoning Combs pre-verdict on May 30 in the Oval Office. "Nobody's asked" about a pardon, the president said at the time. "But I know people are thinking about it. I know they're thinking about it. I think some people have been very close to asking." Trump added, "I haven't spoken to him in years. He really liked me a lot."

Man, 28, arrested in deaths of couple hiking in Arkansas State Park
July 30 (UPI) -- A 28-year-old man has been arrested in the deaths of a couple hiking at a northwest Arkansas state park, state police said Wednesday night. James Andrew McGann, of Springdale, Ark., was arrested and faces two counts of capital murder, the state agency said in a news release. He was apprehended at 4:57 p.m. CDT while getting a haircut, KHBS reported. Special Agents with the Arkansas State Police have arrested James Andrew McGann, 28, of Springdale, in connection to a double homicide that occurred on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Devil's Den State Arkansas State Police (@ARStatePolice) July 31, 2025 Authorities didn't reveal whether there was a link between the suspect and the victims. Clinton David Brink, 43, and his wife, Cristen Amanda Brink, 41, were killed at Devil's Den State Park near Fayetteville in Washington County on Saturday afternoon, state police said. The couple, who recently moved to Prairie Grove from another state, were hiking with their daughters, 7 and 9, who were not injured. They are safe and in the custody of relatives, police said. "I'm extremely grateful for the long hours and dedication that our Agents put forward in bringing justice to this family," ASP Col. Mike Hagar said. "The collaboration between State Police, other state and local law enforcement agencies, and our federal partners has been second to none. Because of their hard work and investigative skill, we were able to take a monster off the streets, and bring relief to those two precious girls, and the rest of our citizens." On Tuesday, a photo showing the back of a person of interest and a composite sketch were released. The suspect was described as a White male with a medium build and short hair who was wearing a dark baseball cap, sunglasses, dark pants and a long-sleeved shirt with the sleeves rolled up, according to the state agency. There was a description of his vehicle: a black sedan that was possibly a Mazda. It had tape over its license plate while at the park. The 2,500-acre park is in a remote and rural area, including rugged terrain with thick vegetation and no cellphone service. The park includes several trails and 20 miles for horseback riding. The park is in Lee Creek Valley of the Boston Mountains, which are part of the Ozarks. It was selected as a state park in the 1930s, and developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps, a work relief program established during the Great Depression. A 49-year-old Marietta man faces 170 years in prison after he was convicted of fraud. [DOWNLOAD: Free WSB-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] On Friday, a jury convicted Carl Delano Torjagbo, AKA Karl Lucius Delano Torjagbo, 49, of Marietta, of bank fraud, wire fraud, and money laundering. According to court documents, on February 13, 2021, Torjagbo submitted two tax returns to the IRS. Each tax return had a different social security number and date of birth. The counterfeit tax returns showed that Torjagbo had millions of dollars in losses that offset earnings from his African gold mine business, Kremkov Industries, the Department of Justice said. This resulted in the U.S. Treasury issuing a check for $3,366,240.76 to Torjagbo. Officials said he used the PPP loan and tax refund to purchase the following: $1,677,861.01 for his home; $332,999.80 for a 2014 Lamborghini Aventador; $120,799.79 for a 2022 BMW M850xi; $90,520 for a 2021 Land Rover Range Rover Velar; $51,000 for the down payment on a 72-foot yacht; Over $1,000,000 for real estate, trucks, and trailers to start a new business; More than $15,000 for plastic surgery.
