Longhorns women's basketball releases SEC schedule
With the women's college basketball season quickly approaching, expectations are high for the Texas Longhorns. After making it to the Final Four last season, they are in a great position to build on their success. Earlier this week, they were able to start planning for the season when their conference schedule was revealed.
During the 2025-2026 campaign, Auburn, Georgia, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, and LSU will all take a trip to Moody Center. The Longhorns will play eight games on the road and eight at home against SEC teams. This is the 17th season of the 16-game schedule for women's basketball.
For the Longhorns, their home court has been where they thrived. Last season, Texas went 17-0 at home. At the Mooddy Center, Longhorns women's basketball has posted a 49-5 record. With a roster full of stars, that record should continue to improve.
While the Longhorns have plenty to look forward to at home, they also have an exciting away conference schedule. They will go on the road to face LSU, Florida, Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Arkansas. That should be a good test for a team that has national championship aspirations.
The regular season will wrap up with the 2026 SEC Women's Basketball Tournament at Bon Secours Wellness Arena. It is set to include all 16 teams and begin on March 4. On March 8, a new champion will be crowned, and the Longhorns hope it is them.
When the regular season begins, Texas will be led by Madison Booker and Rori Harmon. If they can once again make the most of their conference schedule, then they will have a memorable 2025-2026 campaign.

CBS Sports college football analyst Chip Patterson makes a win-loss prediction for Clemson
CBS Sports' Chip Patterson has weighed in on how he thinks Clemson's upcoming season will shake out — and he sees another playoff run in the cards. Patterson predicts the Tigers will finish the regular season at 10-2 and secure a spot in the expanded 12-team College Football Playoff for the second year in a row. He sees Clemson handling its early slate, including a big season-opening win over LSU at home. 'I feel like I'm giving a worst-case scenario. I really do,' Patterson said. 'I've got the Tigers at 10-2. I think home field is going to be huge. They'll take care of LSU, roll through a manageable stretch, then get SMU at home.' He projects Clemson to start 9-0 with wins over LSU, Troy, Georgia Tech, Syracuse, North Carolina, Boston College, SMU, Duke and Florida State. Patterson expects the Tigers to stumble late, taking losses at Louisville on November 14 and at South Carolina to close the regular season on November 29 — the same teams that gave the Tigers trouble in Death Valley last year. 'So, I'm going to hand them the loss [at Louisville],' Patterson said. 'I think Jeff Brohm and Louisville might just have Clemson's number. We saw the Cards get one of the more stunning road wins last year. And then I've got South Carolina pulling off the finale too. But that's still 7-1 in conference.' Despite the projected hiccups, Patterson still sees Clemson claiming the ACC crown and heading back to the playoff with a chance to run the table when it matters. 'If they can stay healthy, they'll be one of the 12 teams that has the goods to win it all,' he said. 'So, back to the CFP — I say yes, just not with a spotless record.' According to Patterson's projection, Clemson opens with LSU on August 30, then faces Troy on September 6, Georgia Tech on September 13, and Syracuse on September 20 before a break on September 27. The Tigers then hit the road to face North Carolina on October 4 and Boston College on October 11, return home for SMU on October 18, take another open date on October 25, then host Duke on November 1 and Florida State on November 8. They wrap up with the Friday game at Louisville on November 14, Furman at home on November 22, and the season finale at South Carolina on November 29.

No. 1 OT Projected to Land With College Football Contender
No. 1 OT Projected to Land With College Football Contender originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Five-star offensive tackle Felix Ojo is nearing a college decision and the Texas Longhorns are emerging as the favorite in his recruitment. Advertisement The Ohio State Buckeyes appear to be Texas' biggest threat to land Ojo. On3's Steve Wiltfong listed the Longhorns and Buckeyes as the "main two" schools for Ojo last week. However, Rivals' Sam Spiegelman entered a recruiting prediction on Thursday for Texas to ultimately land a commitment from Ojo. His commitment date is set for July 4 around 1 p.m. CT. Ojo is ranked the No. 1 offensive tackle in the nation and the No. 2 overall prospect in Texas for the 2026 cycle, according to 247Sports. His 6-foot-6, 275-pound stature has been coveted by just about every powerhouse program in the country. Ojo has racked up offers from Michigan, Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Oregon, and Ole Miss among others. Utah, Texas, Michigan, and Ohio State were the last four schools to receive a visit from Ojo. Advertisement Lake Ridge offensive lineman Felix Ojo/X Texas offensive line coach Kyle Flood has a strong track record of producing NFL offensive lineman and Ojo could receive immediate playing time once arriving in Austin, similar to former five-star offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr. The Longhorns signed the No. 1 overall recruiting class in 2025 and landing Ojo could certainly put them in the running to repeat that feat this cycle. Top OL Immanuel Iheanacho commits to Oregon
Oregon gained a massive addition to its 2026 recruiting class on Wednesday with the commitment of Immanuel Iheanacho, a 5-star prospect ranked as the class' No. 1 interior offensive lineman. The 247Sports composite also ranks Iheanacho as the No. 8 overall player in the nation. The 6-foot-6, 345 tackle plays at Georgetown Preparatory School in Baltimore. He made the announcement Wednesday on "The Pat McAfee Show" on ESPN. After he declared his choice, he unzipped his jacket to reveal an Oregon-green T-shirt that read, "The grass is damn green in Eugene." "Oregon just really felt right," he told McAfee, citing the ability to play early in his career as a deciding factor in his choice. He took official visits to Oregon, Penn State, Auburn and LSU in June. Also Thursday, four-star safety Devin Jackson committed to the Ducks and head coach Dan Lanning. From The First Academy in Orlando, Jackson is ranked as the No. 18 safety by the 247Sports composite. The 6-foot-2, 195-pound Jackson also took official visits to LSU, Miami and Nebraska. He broke off his commitment to Florida in April. Oregon also added offensive lineman Tommy Tofi from Archbishop Riordan in San Francisco to its 2026 class on Wednesday. --Field Level Media Field Level Media 2025 - All Rights Reserved
