Domino's launch Domidog K9 robot to deliver pizzas on beach

The brand designed the fun robot pooch alongside research, which put seagulls in the top 10 things that bother Brits the most at the beach.
It emerged that one in three admit they have fallen foul of the boisterous birds who circle the skies and swoop for food, according to 1,500 polled who visit the seaside.
Meanwhile, 59% wish there were a way to easily protect their snacks from seagulls when at the seaside.
Domino's creates robot dog to deliver pizza at seaside locations
Izzy Gardener from Domino's said: 'Seagulls have claimed too many seaside snacks, and it's time we did something about it.
'We're always exploring new and innovative ways to keep your pizza as hot and fresh as possible on its delivery journey.
'That's why we're trailing Domidog this summer: a tech-driven answer to an age-old beach problem.'
Before turning pizza pup, the Boston Dynamics robot has proven its capabilities: supporting search and rescue operations, assisting bomb squads and advancing robotics research in human-robot interaction.

Complete with a hi-tech spec, it can autonomously navigate its environment using onboard sensors, stereo cameras, and advanced localisation technology.
Other features like 360 degree perception also help it to effortlessly avoid obstacles while delivering.
From the research, when asked what grated their gears most about the greedy gulls, stealing food (61%) naturally topped the list, followed by their aggressive behaviour (50%).
With one in 10 going as far as to say the badly behaved birds have damaged their property, while 19% claim they'd scared small children, according to the OnePoll.com data.
Additionally, limited toilets (40%), big crowds (37%), and unruly dogs not on leads (17%) also made the top 10 list.

My hubby transformed our shed into a ‘dream' nail salon – bargains from Homebase & IKEA made it look so glam on a budget

Plus, scroll down for rules on converting sheds GLOSS BOSS My hubby transformed our shed into a 'dream' nail salon – bargains from Homebase & IKEA made it look so glam on a budget Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A WOMAN has revealed that her husband transformed a shell of a shed into a glamorous nail salon. Now, Nicola Vacher-Smith, who is the founder of Sanctuary Twelve, a garden studio located in Blyth, Northumberland, now just has to walk a few steps down her garden to get to work. Nicola, who is from Newcastle, took to social media to share a step-by-step process of her shed renovation, leaving many open-mouthed. Alongside the post, Nicola confirmed that her husband, who she described as her 'best friend,' 'biggest supporter' and even 'content model', did all of the work himself, as she beamed: 'Husband appreciation post.' What was once an empty shed has since been given a mega makeover and now is a jaw-dropping beauty salon. And not only do people think it looks 'beautiful' but others have said it is their 'dream' to have something similar in their garden. In the short clip, we saw Nicola's husband take on the hefty DIY job, as he first started off by insulating the space. Following this he then plastered and painted the walls. But that wasn't all - to make the shed super trendy, he then added panelling too. Thrilled with her new at-home salon, Nicola beamed: 'From the shell of a shed to a fully functioning salon, I'm obsessed!!' Reflecting on the shed's new look, she also added: 'What a transformation it is.' I was sick of paying rent so moved into a shed at the bottom of my garden Nicola later confirmed that she got the 9.5ft by 13ft shed from Northern Garden Sheds, a company based in Blaydon-on-Tyne. While she went local for her natural oak flooring, for the paint colours, her man used Dulux paint in the shade Caramel Sand 5 on the panelling and the Peace shade from Homebase's own range, on the walls. Do I need planning permission to convert my shed? CONVERTING an existing shed or outbuilding into a self-contained living space will usually require you apply for planning permission. However, there is a "loophole" Brits can use to convert outbuildings into a tiny home without permission. Planning expert Martin Gaine from Just Planning warned the conversion process is far easier than you may think. Speaking to The Sun, the Chartered Town Planner of 14 years' experience explained: "An outbuilding can be built using 'permitted development rights', meaning it does not need planning permission. "As long as you comply with the various restrictions and conditions." One of these is that the outbuilding can only be used for something 'ancillary' to your main living accommodation - examples include storage, a gym or a pool room. If the outbuilding is existing, converting it then into primary living accommodation IS allowed. Martin explained: "This is because internal changes to an existing building are not considered to be development at all under the Town and Country Planning Act. But like anything, there is one catch. The new living accommodation must still have some connection with your use of the main house. For instance, if your gran is living out there, she must still come into the house to eat. To accessorise the space, she nabbed her sideboard and chair from Daals and got her desk and lamp from IKEA. She also got a mirror and a stand from B&M, as well as a gorgeous vase from TK Maxx. Social media users react Nicola's TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @nicolavachersmith, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 436,900 views. Not only this, but it's also amassed 49,000 likes, 192 comments and 6,296 saves. It looks absolutely gorgeous TikTok user Social media users were incredibly impressed by Nicola's garden studio and many eagerly raced to the comments to express this. One person said: 'This is stunning.' Another added: 'This is my dream.' A third commented: 'This is beautiful.' Meanwhile, someone else beamed: 'It looks absolutely gorgeous.' Final warning for 40million Brits as major mobile brand to DELETE accounts in days unless users act now

OUT WITH THE OLD OUT WITH THE OLD Final warning for 40million Brits as major mobile brand to DELETE accounts in days unless users act now Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A MAJOR mobile brand has warned that it will offload all of its inactive accounts at the end of the month. The Korean tech giant has told users to act now before their accounts are deleted. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 2 Samsung has sent emails to users who the company believes have inactive accounts Credit: Samsung So, if you haven't used your Samsung account in a while - it's best you do so now. The phone maker is having a big clear out of its Galaxy user accounts, which are used to access apps such as the Galaxy Store and Samsung's native apps like Health and Galaxy Wearables. On 31 July, Samsung will delete Galaxy accounts that haven't been accessed in 24 months - or two years. Samsung has sent emails to users who the company believes have inactive accounts. The warning message issued to users reads: "Samsung is implementing an inactive Samsung account policy to protect the data of users who have not used their account for an extended period of time. "Once this policy is implemented Samsung accounts that have not been logged in to or used for twenty-four months will be considered inactive and will be subject to deletion." It means some mobile users may lose their account data - anything from their step count to apps they paid for. Once the data has been deleted, it will not be recoverable. Users need to log into their Samsung Galaxy account just once in the past 24 months - or between now and the 31 July - to save their accounts. If you're unsure whether your account is at risk, check the email the account is tied to. Receiving Samsung's warning message likely indicates that your account has been inactive for nearly 24 months and should be logged into if you want it saved. While Samsung Galaxy accounts can sometimes be tied to a Google account, the Google account will not be affected by the shutdown. Google announced a similar change in 2023, warning account holders that if their profiles hadn't been accessed in two years then they would be deleted. Inactive accounts tend to be jackpots for hackers, so it is wise to delete them in order to protect user data. How to save your Samsung account Simply log into your Samsung account before 31 July. This will mark the account as active to Samsung, and spare it from deletion. Galaxy users who haven't logged in for a while should receive an email from Samsung notifying them of the change. Though, as 9to5Google noted, that may prove ineffective if the email associated with the account is also inactive.

Mum-of-one Georgia, 38, has endured a tough year sparked by Danny's drunken kiss with I'm A Celeb co-star Maura Higgins at a BRITs after-party, which The Sun was first to reveal in March. The incident plunged their marriage into crisis and the podcast host was reportedly "furious" at the way the Star Girl singer handled the aftermath of the debacle. Now they have put on a united front at the Wonderwall hitmakers' comeback show. An image posted to Danny's Instagram Stories showed the couple, who share son Cooper, flashing a loving look at each other after Oasis' mammoth setlist. They looked adoringly at each other in the black and white image, with Danny's parent in between them. The McFly boyband star wrote in his caption: "Oasis day one that was f***ing incredible." On her page, mum of one Georgia posted a snapshot of her Adidas outfit, with red shorts and a white top. At the gig, Oasis paid an emotional tribute to rocker Ozzy Osbourne who passed away this week, aged 76. Yet when did they meet? Danny began a relationship with model Georgia back in 2010. He had been going out with his now-wife for four years when he proposed to her in Cyprus in 2013. They married the following August in her hometown of Malton, North Yorks, in a ceremony which featured musical performances by McBusted and Ellie Goulding. Danny and Georgia welcomed a baby boy called Cooper Alf Jones on January 27, 2018.
