Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown PC Demo Out Now
For the Steam Next Fest demo of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown, players will be introduced to the game with a short tutorial and a modified version of the game's first chapter to take on the iconic villainous Foot Clan. This give users a glimpse of what to expect when the inevitably releases later this year.
'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown is the first-ever turn-based TMNT video game,' reads the official description. 'Inspired by the classic cartoon, you'll experience a bold new approach to the world of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Splinter and Shredder are dead, and as the Turtles approach adulthood, they're not just growing up… they're growing apart.'
When Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown releases, it will include 20 'constantly-mutating' levels as the titular turtles face off against the Foot Clan and their new leader. It will also feature an original story by Strange Scaffold, the developer behind I Am Your Beast, and El Paso, Elswhere.
'Building a truly powerful licensed game requires a deep respect for the source material, love for the fans, and a willingness to challenge tentpoles of the universe to create something that both surprises and delights,' said Xalavier Nelson Jr., founder of Strange Scaffold when the game was revealed. 'Bringing that kind of experience to life requires an equally powerful relationship – so I will be forever grateful to Doug Rosen and the team at Paramount for their collaboration, and putting their trust in our team to make an original take on the world that soars. I get to make a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game where the very first lines of dialogue establish that Shredder and Splinter are dead. Who else can say that?'

Ahead of its remaster, GOG added one of my favorite D&D videogames to its preservation program and is also giving owners of the original a 'loyalty discount' on the enhanced edition
When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. First spotted by Blue's News, GOG is showing some love to Neverwinter Nights 2 and its fans ahead of the launch of the game's enhanced edition this week. The original game has been added to GOG's preservation program, and owners of NwN2 on GOG have a 15% off "loyalty discount" on the remaster, one that stacks with the 10% off preorder discount. The preservation program is a commitment by GOG to use its own developers to keep games running (and running well) on current and future versions of Windows. NwN2 has already benefitted from its inclusion: The game received its first update on GOG since 2015, finally fixing a black screen issue that has vexed me for years. The loyalty discount is also mighty neighborly, but as much as GOG Galaxy is the only launcher other than Steam I enthusiastically use, NwN2 Enhanced Edition still has a big draw on Valve's storefront: Steam Deck. NwN2 Enhanced has been verified since before it was even officially announced, and while it's possible to get GOG games working on Deck, it's a big hassle. As for what all the fuss is about, Neverwinter Nights 2 is a phenomenal D&D and Obsidian classic I would love to see get its flowers in the post-Baldur's Gate 3 era. The Enhanced Edition will offer a bundle of four huge RPG campaigns for $30, and while NwN2's mod scene was never as big as NwN1's, there are still some lauded campaigns there to check out like The Maimed God's Saga. The Enhanced Edition releases on July 15 on Steam and GOG, and that's also when the preorder discount ends and the loyalty discount drops to 15% from 25%. 2025 games: This year's upcoming releasesBest PC games: Our all-time favoritesFree PC games: Freebie festBest FPS games: Finest gunplayBest RPGs: Grand adventuresBest co-op games: Better together

We Caught Up with Pro Skater Tony Hawk ... at the Zoo
After months of build-up, which included the game's soundtrack being releasedin March, the next-gen remake ofTony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4has finally dropped worldwide on consoles andPC. We caught up with the skate legend in London to talk about the franchise, skateboarding, and which athlete he'd switch places with if he had the chance. Check out out conversation below and follow@hypebeaston Instagram now. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4, developed by Iron Galaxy Studios, brings the franchise into 2025 with updated graphics and optimized gameplay. It features many of the game's original skaters, with some of the OGs making a comeback including Bob Burnquist, Steve Caballero, Kareem Campbell, Geoff Rowley, Chad Muska, Eric Koston and – of course – Tony Hawk himself. Several new skaters have been added, too, like Jamie Foy, Chloe Covell, Yuto Horigome and Nora Vasconcellos. The latest release in the iconicskateboardingseries also brings back the fan-favorite mode 'Create-A-Skater', allowing gamers to make and skate their own character. From choosing a hometown or a skating style for your skater, to kitting your character out in various apparel or customizing your board, the 'Create-A-Skater' mode provides a large range of options for players to pick from. All of the original skateparks are back, too, and levels like Skater Island, Airport and Alcatraz have been remade to take full advantage of the power found in current-gen gaming devices. And newly added parks, like Waterpark and Movie Studio, deliver an entirely new challenge for any gamers who think they've mastered the originals. One of the most iconic parks of the series, Zoo, has also been remade, and the new Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 featuring a fully playable version of London Zoo. A few days ahead of the game's launch, London Zoo is also where Hypebeast found Tony Hawk. The pro-skater – known to fans and friends as 'Birdman' thanks to his gravity-defying feats on four wheels – was in town to witness a Harris Hawk being named in his honour, a weird but heartwarming full-circle moment for the skate legend. Tony Hawk'sPro Skater 3 + 4 is available now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and 5, Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, and PC via Steam, and the Microsoft Store.
