Brent Primus, PFL 2025 Week 3 post-fight video interview
Brent Primus met the media after his win over Vinicius Cenci
Brent Primus knows what it's like to become an unexpected champion, so winning a PFL title would be old hat.
And it's not even that a lightweight belt in the PFL, like he did in Bellator when he stopped Michael Chandler, would be out of the question now for Primus (16-4), who beat Vinicius Cenci (8-3) with a third-round submission this past Friday. He moved on to a semifinal matchup against Alfie Davis in late June.
Still, he's been overlooked before only to prove doubters wrong, and he'd gladly do it again.
Primus spoke to the media following his win at 2025 PFL World Tournament 3, which took place at Universal Studios in Orlando, Fla.

Club World Cup: Real Madrid vs. Juventus official line-ups

Juventus trust Kenan Yildiz, Francisco Conceicao and Randal Kolo Muani, but are forced into a defensive revamp against Dean Huijsen's Real Madrid in the Club World Cup Round of 16. It kicks off at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami at 20.00 UK time, 15.00 local time. Advertisement You can follow all the build-up and action as it happens on the Liveblog. The winners will face either Borussia Dortmund or Monterrey in the quarter-final on Saturday. How to watch Real Madrid vs. Juventus The best way to live stream the Club World Cup is with DAZN, which is offering a free service this summer, which can also be upgraded to a premium service. DAZN's free offer means ads during games, and no replays or extended highlights, but it's still a pretty tempting deal that will surely get Calcio fans and others signing up quickly. ORLANDO, FLORIDA – JUNE 26: Teun Koopmeiners #8 of Juventus FC celebrates with teammates after scoring his team's first goal during the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 group G match between Juventus FC and Manchester City FC at Camping World Stadium on June 26, 2025 in Orlando, Florida. Advertisement Nicolò Savona badly sprained his ankle in that match and will be out for at least a month, but more changes are forced too, as Federico Gatti is suffering from flu symptoms. With Gleison Bremer not fit either, that means Daniele Rugani has to get his Club World Cup debut from the start with Pierre Kalulu and Lloyd Kelly. Timothy Weah and Samuel Mbangula are again frozen out after rejecting transfers to Nottingham Forest, with Dusan Vlahovic dropped. Weston McKennie is sent to the bench in favour of Alberto Costa in a more advanced role. BARCELONA, SPAIN – MAY 11: Kylian Mbappe of Real Madrid celebrates scoring his team's first goal with teammate Jude Bellingham during the LaLiga match between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid CF at Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys on May 11, 2025 in Barcelona, Spain. (Photo by) Real Madrid drew 1-1 with Al-Hilal, then beat Pachuca and RB Salzburg as they get used to life under new coach Xabi Alonso. Advertisement He too had a lot of injury issues, missing David Alaba, Ferland Mendy, Endrick, Daniel Carvajal and Eder Militao. Kylian Mbappé was suffering from a nasty bout of gastroenteritis, so has not played a minute of Club World Cup football so far and is for the first time on the bench. It is therefore the same starting XI that beat RB Salzburg 3-0, with Gonzalo Garcia, Vinicius Junior and Arda Guler. That sends Jude Bellingham into a deeper role, while former Juventus youth team player Dean Huijsen faces his former club. Another summer signing playing today is ex-Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. On Tuesday morning, the New York Giants left the football world stunned with their recent roster move. A little over a year since announcing his retirement, tight end Darren Waller is returning to football and being dealt to the Miami Dolphins. Waller, a sixth-round pick in 2015, developed into one of the NFL's top tight ends just a few years ago. His best individual season came in 2020 with the Las Vegas Raiders. Waller landed the only Pro-Bowl nod of his career after racking up nearly 1,200 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. After establishing himself with the Raiders, the Giants decided to trade for the veteran tight end in March of 2023. They viewed him as someone who could be a focal point in the offense, but things did not pan out that way. Waller ended up playing one full season for the Giants, totaling 552 yards and one touchdown in 12 appearances. Following his first year in New York, he opened up on dealing with various health issues and decided to step away from professional football. Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Giants are dealing him to the Dolphins for a future sixth-round pick. In a following move, Waller will be signing a one-year deal with Miami worth $5 million. Trade: Dolphins are trading a conditional 2026 sixth to the New York Giants for a 2027 seventh-round pick and Darren Waller. Waller is coming out of retirement after agreeing to a one-year deal with the Dolphins worth up to $5 million, per Drew Rosenhaus and Robert Bailey. — Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) July 1, 2025 In the reporting of the trade, insider Jordan Raanan dove more into Waller decided to come out of retirement this season. The now ex-Giants tight end had told people close to him that he missed the game and wanted to get back out on the field. "Waller told people close to him that he 'missed football' and was returning for the love of the game, a source told ESPN's Jordan Raanan," wrote ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques. They recently had a void to fill at the tight end position after opting to send Jonnu Smith to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Miami will now attempt to replace him with a returning Waller. While things didn't work out for the Giants when they acquired Waller, this deal also benefits them to some degree. With him eyeing a comeback, the front office was able to acquire draft capital in his departure. For more New York Giants and NFL news, head over to Newsweek Sports.
