How to watch the NASCAR Brickyard 400 live for free from Indianapolis
It's time for the Brickyard 400, one of NASCAR's Crown Jewel races that has even higher stakes this year with the inaugural in-season challenge coming to an end.
Today's race will determine which driver takes home $1 million in prize money for winning the in-season challenge. The single-elimination bracket style tournament has taken place over the past four races leading into today's Champions Round. No. 32 seed Ty Dillon and No. 6 Ty Gibbs are the last drivers standing, and whoever finishes higher will win the first-ever in-season challenge.
The last driver to kiss the bricks (the traditional celebration at Indy) was Kyle Larson, who starts today's race in the 13th spot.
The 400-mile race will be done in three stages of 50, 50, and 60 laps.

Liberty vs. Sun prediction: WNBA odds, picks, best bets for Sunday
New York Post may be compensated and/or receive an affiliate commission if you click or buy through our links. Featured pricing is subject to change. The defending champion Liberty are mired in a midseason slump without any reason to believe they will turn things around, let alone cover a double-digit point spread. The Liberty are 12.5-point road favorites against the Connecticut Sun on Sunday with a total of 169.5 points. The Liberty just lost outright with the exact same matchup on Friday, as the Sun won for just the fifth time in 26 games this season. The Liberty are still without injured star Breanna Stewart and her absence has overlapped with four straight losses. Simply, this team just lacks the necessary firepower to be laying double digits. Plus, their defense ranks fourth worst in the league over their past four games. Meanwhile, Connecticut has the league's worst record and is by no means a good team. Nevertheless, its 5-21 mark is a bit misleading. Marina Mabrey, arguably their best player, missed nine games (1-8 record) so I will ignore that stretch. Plus, Connecticut's young players have evolved throughout the season and are playing much better than they did to begin the year. Specifically, rookies Aneesah Morrow and Saniya Rivers both started on Friday and played key roles. Breanna Stewart, the Liberty's injured star, won't play against the Sun on Aug. 3, 2025. NBAE via Getty Images The Sun have a quality coach, that is one main reason they are 13-13 ATS despite such a bad overall record. The Liberty will be motivated to bounce back from an embarrassing loss but this still feels like too high of a spread. I have a 58-48-1 ATS record in this Post sports section and my next play is the Sun +12.5 points. Former NASCAR Driver Danica Patrick Reacts to Sydney Sweeney Ad Backlash
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Former NASCAR and IndyCar driver Danica Patrick gave her take on the Sydney Sweeney controversy stemming from the actress's American Eagle ad campaign. Sweeney's commercials are perceived by some as coded with racism and eugenics because of a play on words regarding "jeans" and "genes." Patrick posted a story on her Instagram account on July 30, reading, "Hilarious. Can anyone tell me what's wrong with the new AE ads?! Very confused." Also, she shared a video from content creator Kaylor Betts, which addressed the controversy. Danica Patrick looks on from the drivers parade prior to the F1 Grand Prix of Mexico at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez on October 27, 2024 in Mexico City, Mexico. Tilton/Getty Images "We have to boycott American Eagle," Betts said in the video playfully. "If you haven't heard of this yet, brace yourself. This is a trigger warning. You're not going to believe it. They had Sydney Sweeney in one of their ads. And if you don't know Sydney, she's a white girl." Patrick found humor in the controversy surrounding Sweeney's ad, but the temperature has been much higher online, with people both attacking and defending the actress. Why are people upset about Sydney Sweeney's American Eagle collaboration? Sweeney's campaign with American Eagle is titled "Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans." While on its face the title seems harmless, people claim the commercials refer to the "Euphoria" star's genetics as a white, blue-eyed American in a way that is coded with references to Nazism or white supremacy. "My body's composition is determined by my genes," Sweeney said as the video pans her entire body. "Hey, eyes up here." "Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair color, personality and even eye color," Sweeney says in another ad. "My jeans are blue." Sydney Sweeney x American Eagle, oh my god. — Sydney Sweeney Daily (@sweeneydailyx) July 24, 2025 Considering the backlash, many expected American Eagle to pause the collaboration, but Ashley Schapiro, the brand's vice president of marketing, said that the campaign was meant to be provocative. "During a Zoom call with Sydney, we asked the question, 'How far do you want to push it?' Without hesitation, she smirked and said, 'Let's push it, I'm game,'" Schapiro wrote in a LinkedIn post. "Our response? 'Challenge Accepted.' Infusing our own personal cheeky energy and making us as we envisioned how the world would experience the launch. "A desire to stretch beyond anything we had done before. The ideas kept building. The stunts topping themselves. Exploring media innovation that could feel like it was invented just for Syd's Jeans?"

NASCAR at Iowa 2025: Start time, TV, streaming, lineup for Iowa Corn 350
It's getting close to crunch time for playoff seeding in the NASCAR Cup Series. This week in Iowa Speedway marks four races to go until the 10-race postseason kicks off at Darlington Raceway. Bubba Wallace secured his spot last week by winning the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for his first win in nearly three years. Despite low fuel, Wallace kept a charging Kyle Larson behind on the final restart in overtime. Denny Hamlin, Ryan Preece and Brad Keselowski rounded out the top five. Further down the order, Ty Gibbs finished 21st to win NASCAR's inaugural in-season challenge over Ty Dillon. SERIOUS INJURY: Stewart Friesen suffers multiple injuries in dirt racing track crash The grid heads to another oval this week but one that's quite different from Indianapolis. Iowa Speedway is a short track oval with relatively low banking compared to many others on the calendar. It's a new track – last year was the first NASCAR Cup Series race there – but it compares relatively well to longtime NASCAR mainstay Richmond Raceway. Wallace is the latest driver to secure his spot in the playoffs. So far, 13 of the 16 spots have been clinched; three remain in play with four races to go. Ryan Blaney won the Cup Series' first race at Iowa Speedway last year with a narrow win over William Byron. Blaney only took two new tires in his final pit stop, while most drivers took four which made a difference in the final stretch of the race. Tire issues were a big part of the weekend with many drivers suffering flat tires as early as lap 51. What is the lineup for the Iowa Corn 350?
