Scott McTominay now a fully-fledged Neapolitan as Scudetto winning star adds another Italian staple to morning diet
Things couldn't have gone better for Scott McTominay at Napoli.
The Scotland star played a crucial role in Gli Azzuri's Serie A triumph last season - just the fourth time the club have lifted the Scudetto in their 98-year-long history.
Not only has the former Manchester United midfielder taken to the Italian game like a duck to water, but he has also adjusted his taste buds to assimilate himself into his new life even further.
During their epic open-top-bus parade through the city to celebrate their title victory, McTominay partied with club and country pal Billy Gilmour and was snapped savouring the moment by lighting a cigarette and swigging a bottle of whisky before sitting down to enjoy a Tennent's Super - formally made at Glasgow's Wellpark Brewery.
The Lancaster-born player has already been honoured with a mural in the heart of the city in Naples not too far from the famous Diego Maradona shrine, with the Scudetto winners' also trademarking his new nickname 'McFratm' in order to spearhead a marketing and merchandising drive ahead of the new season.
And one club insider has revealed that the Tartan Army hero is now fully accustomed to a staple of the Italian daily diet - coffee.
In an interview with Gazzetta della Sport, long-time Napoli backroom staff member Tommaso Starace says that McTominay now guzzles down two coffees with him every morning.
He said: "McTominay was sceptical at first; now he averages two in the morning with me."
It comes after the marauding midfielder - who was crowned as Serie A's most valuable player last season after netting 13 times in 34 matches - also revealed earlier this year that he had acquired a love for tomatoes since moving to southern-Italy - having barely touched the fruit previously.
Speaking to The Athletic back in April, he said: "Oh my goodness, the tomatoes.
"I never ate them at home, they're just red water.
"Here, they actually taste like tomatoes. Now I eat them as a snack.
"I eat all the vegetables, all of the fruits. It is all so fresh. It's incredible."

Man United 'are offered THREE players for Jadon Sancho' in ambitious swap deal that could see Red Devils finally shift the winger
Manchester United have been offered three players in a potential swap deal for Jadon Sancho, according to a report. Sancho hasn't played for United since publicly falling out with former manager Erik ten Hag in a clash that saw the former England winger hit back after the Dutchman had criticised his training levels. He then went on loan to former side Borussia Dortmund in Germany, before penning a season-long temporary stay at Chelsea that saw the Blues given the option to make it permanent for £25million at the end of the campaign. The London club did, though, decide not to do that, and ended up paying £5m to ensure Sancho would return back to United. He still has one year left remaining on his deal. There has, meanwhile, been no indication that current boss Ruben Amorim has any intention of integrating Sancho back into his squad, and the winger continues to be linked with a move away this summer. Now, according to Fabrizio Romano, the most recent chance for United to get rid of the star involves Juventus offering three players in a potential exchange deal. One of those players is no stranger to the Premier League, with Douglas Luiz having played for Aston Villa between 2019 and 2024, joining from Manchester City. Luiz has seemingly been on the chopping block at the Italian side for a long time, and could well make the move back to the English top flight and join United. It is also reported that the 27-year-old has been mentioned as a potential player in any swap deal for United winger Antony, who spent much of last season on loan in Spain with Real Betis. The second player offered for Sancho, meanwhile, is reportedly Dusan Vlahovic. Vlahovic is for sale in Turin, having scored 17 goals in 44 games last season. In total, he has netted 58 times for Juventus since joining from Fiorentina in 2022. The third and final player is thought to be Timothy Weah. Weah, formerly of Celtic and Lille, is an attack-minded right back and also a regular at international level with the United States. It is reported that United were made aware that all three players are for sale, though it is is unclear if all three would have been involved in a deal for Sancho. The idea is said to have only been raised during negotiations about the Englishman. Juventus are thought to be keen on signing Sancho, with no issues arising over a potential transfer fee. They aren't, though, believed to want to cover Sancho's full £250,000-a-week salary. Last month, meanwhile, it was reported that Sancho had agreed terms with Napoli, but no move materialised. Sancho is hoping to reinvigorate his career but it appears United are struggling to shift him. Despite his past success in Germany, Dortmund are not keen on offering him a route out of Manchester.

New figures for her firm, CWR 2021, indicate the income from her endorsements and media career more than tripled in a year. Former Three Lions skipper Wayne, 39, was reportedly on around £500,000 as manager of Plymouth Argyle, before leaving the club in December. The ex-Manchester United striker was said to be raking in £300,000 a week at the peak of his earning power in 2014. Coleen's shift to becoming the main breadwinner will now be chronicled in a Disney+ documentary, called The Rooneys. Confirmed yesterday by the streaming giant, she will be seen running her business while he taking the couple's four sons to school. A financial expert said: 'These earnings show that, even before Coleen signed up for I'm A Celeb, she was already bringing in more money than Wayne. 'On the back of her jungle stint, where she was incredibly popular with the viewing public, she's now likely to see her earnings soar even further. 'And the increased interest in Coleen after she did so well on the show is also likely to have sealed the deal on the Disney contract. 'Getting big bucks from a global streamer, plus her pay cheque from ITV, will no doubt swell the Rooneys coffers even further.' Coleen picked up a big fee for I'm A Celebrity in the autumn when she was pipped to first place by McFly singer Danny Jones, 39. Wayne Rooney pictured looking glum on holiday with Coleen & Utd legend pals In recent months she has continued to bring in money through deals such as endorsing health supplement brand Applied Nutrition. Coleen has remained firmly in the public eye following her 2023 Wagatha court case brought by Rebekah Vardy. Coleen had accused Rebekah's Instagram account of leaking posts from her own private account. A judge dismissed Rebekah's libel claim on the basis that Coleen's statements were substantially true. That led to an three-part documentary series The Real Wagatha Story featuring exclusive access to Coleen. Wayne has recently turned to football punditry following a lean spell as a manager. He went from Derby County to briefly playing for DC United in the US, then returning to management at Birmingham City, before his doomed stint at Plymouth. But the shifting fortunes for the Rooneys have provided lots of interest for documentary makers, which has proved lucrative for the family. After making Prime Video biopic Rooney with Lorton Productions in 2022, the same creative team are now behind the Disney+ show. 5 Coleen has brought in big money through deals such as endorsing health supplement brand Applied Nutrition Credit: Supplied 5 Disney+'s three-part documentary series The Real Wagatha Story featured exclusive access to Coleen Credit: Disney+ 5 Coleen picked up a big fee for I'm A Celebrity last autumn Credit: Rex Unlock even more award-winning articles as The Sun launches brand new membership programme - Sun Club.

Semenyo explains why he signed new contract after Newcastle and Spurs interest
Manchester United, Newcastle and Tottenham have all been interested in Antoine Semenyo this summer but the Ghana star will now be staying with Bournemouth long-term Antoine Semenyo is eager to continue his growth at Bournemouth after shunning transfer interest from rival Premier League clubs to sign a new five-year contract with the Cherries. A slew of top-flight clubs, including Manchester United, Newcastle and Tottenham, have all been credited with an interest in the Ghana star after Semenyo, 25, enjoyed his most productive Premier League season under Andoni Iraola last term. It was reported last month that Bournemouth were standing firm on their £70million valuation of the former Bristol City star after losing both Dean Huijsen and Milos Kerkez already this summer; a price which was said to be 'deterring' Semenyo's suitors. But a transfer has now been taken out of their hands with Semenyo putting pen to paper on a deal until 2030. Explaining his decision, Semenyo told 'I've grown so much at the club, both on and off the pitch, and I'm really happy to have signed ahead of returning for pre-season. 'From the fans to the staff and my teammates, I can't speak highly enough of the people around the club. It's a great place to be and I'm excited to get back to Bournemouth and continue the hard work with the new season just around the corner.' Bournemouth's president of football operations, Tiago Pinto, added: 'Antoine has been crucial to the club's progress and is a key member of the project here at Vitality Stadium. 'We have a great relationship with Antoine and we're looking forward to continuing that as we hope to build on a record-breaking season. His commitment to the club matches our ambition and I'm excited to see what can be achieved as we prepare for the new campaign.' While Manchester United and Tottenham were said to have cooled their interest in Semenyo after enquiring about the versatile forward, who scored 13 times last season, links to Newcastle have continued in recent days. United have since pressed ahead with a move for Bryan Mbeumo - their No.1 target - while Tottenham have been linked with Eberechi Eze in recent days. Newcastle are now pursuing Anthony Elanga and have tabled an offer for the Nottingham Forest winger, who has impressed for the Reds since leaving Manchester United back in the summer of 2023.
