The five star hotel Molly Mae Hague's sister Zoe was staying in Bali before fleeing the country after 48 hours is revealed - after she left because it didn't live up to expectations
The five star hotel where Zoe Rae Hague was staying before fleeing Bali because it didn't live up to her social media expectations has been revealed. The influencer has been mocked online for leaving the stunning country after just 48 hours, because it didn't match up to what she had seen on Instagram. Zoe, 28, had planned the trip to Indonesia with her husband Danny to celebrate their first wedding anniversary. And despite staying in a huge sea view room at the Radisson Blu, a five-star hotel, they decided to leave early and jet to Dubai instead. The resort is set dramatically on the cliffs of Bali's Bukit Peninsula, near the iconic Uluwatu Temple, and offers views of the Indian Ocean. It boasts more than 100 deluxe double rooms and 14 luxury suites, which have a separate living and dining area, a rooftop terrace and panoramic views. It is not clear which specification of room Zoe and her husband Danny chose to stay in on their brief trip to the country. Zoe explained that Bali looks better on social media than in real life, as influencers make it look luxurious, despite it being a developing country. In a new YouTube video, Zoe told the camera: 'Since landing in Bali, something for us wasn't quite right. 'We came here with high expectations because we had seen on social media that everyone was having such a lovely time. Lovely places to eat and beaches, and lovely gyms and coffee shops. 'But I don't think the reality of Bali is shown much at all, and I do think it is down to a lot of influencers posting the more luxury side of things.' She added: 'Before joining the army, I spent five months travelling South East Asia. I did Thailand, Vietnam, China, Hong Kong, I did a lot and spent time in these countries. But there is something very different about Bali. 'We got told Uluwatu where we are now is one of the best places to go, so if this is one of the better places, I'm not sure where the other places are like. 'I wasn't going to sit down and say anything, but people want to know.' Danny then joined the video and said: 'You either go on holiday to travel and experience culture or you want to go away and relax.' Zoe continued: 'Yeah, and we could have got a flight tomorrow as today is our anniversary, but time is precious and we just want to get out, and why delay it. 'We missed the mark, maybe we didn't do our own research, maybe it is our own fault. I did a lot of research though. 'I think it is just personal preference, and our preference was that this isn't for us, and we are making the executive decision to go enjoy our anniversary somewhere we know that we love and can relax and can drink the water.' 'I don't think the reality of Bali is shown much at all, and I do think it is down to a lot of influencers posting the more luxury side of things' (Amber Turner pictured left, Samie Elishi right) Fans were divided in the comment section, with many claiming they loved Bali and asking for specific reasons why she didn't like it. 'I find this really surprising seeing as you travelled this part of the world. Everywhere there is like this - the 5* resorts are social media worthy but ultimately it's a developing area of the world and lots of the people there live in poverty.'; 'That is such a shame you didn't have a good experience:( Bali is a truly magical place with incredible people! But it is a poor country and I think people forget that and expect it to be like Dubai when that isn't the reality. Hope you have a good time in Dubai.'; 'I'm interested to know what exactly you didn't like about it? You didn't really go into specifics? I travelled there last year and loved it!'; Others agreed with Zoe, adding: I'm just home from backpacking Australia, Bali, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore and I can hands down agree with the insta vs reality with Bali!! We tried to enjoy it as much as we could but it is 100% portrayed sooo differently by influencers,' 'Why is everyone hating? Bali isn't for everyone, they arrived and didn't like it? Why would they waste time & money somewhere they're not enjoying?' In 2019, Zoe's sister Molly-Mae shared with fans that she 'fell in love with Bali' as she shared a series of stunning snaps to Instagram. Zoe later shared a photo dump on Instagram, showcasing her lavish Dubai trip after leaving Bali. Fans were divided in the comment section, with many claiming they loved Bali and asking for specific reasons why she didn't like it Others agreed with Zoe: I'm just home from backpacking Australia, Bali, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore and I can hands down agree with the insta vs reality with Bali!!' The couple stayed at Atlantis The Royal, with rooms starting from around £290 per night during July, which is considered low season. In peak season, rooms can cost £1,570 a night. Zoe shared on Instagram: 'Danny surprised me with a stat at @atlantistheroyal which I couldn't believe!!! 'Going at this time of year definitely helped as everything was a lot cheaper!! For a very special occasion it's perfect.' It comes after Zoe gave her followers an update on her botched Botox in a new clip posted to her Story. The influencer was initially left with one eye partially closed from a severe reaction to Botox in February, telling her fans she 'could weep' at the state of her face. But just a few months later she was back again to 'rock her forehead lines' despite vowing never to return - with Zoe suffering a botched Botox which she described as even 'worse than last time'. The star has been left - once again - with one eye drooping below the other but on Wednesday reassured her followers it was getting better. Showing off her healing eye area she penned: 'EYE UPDATE. Still not great but my GOD it's soooo much better!!!! 3 weeks post incident I'm actually quite happy!' Zoe revealed she was brutally mocked for her latest botched B otox by a passenger on an airplane, resulting in an explosive row. Zoe shared that during a recent trip to Portugal with a friend, she became embroiled in a dispute with one particularly rude passenger on their flight. Rocking a pair of sunglasses on her YouTube channel to hide the botch-job, she said: 'I actually had a really really upsetting experience just as we landed in Portugal. 'We were in a queue and there was another one going past us and there was this one horrible lady, I don't know if she was drunk - she must've been. 'She was trying to get past me and she said, 'why are you just stood there like a d*******' and I was like, 'why did you just call me that?' 'And her husband was like, 'what's going on here' and I said, 'your wife just called me that for literally no reason' and there was a bit of back and forth before he said, 'sort your daft eye out, you c***.'' 'But I actually agreed, I thought fair enough. I do need to sort it out.' Later in the video Zoe lifted up her sunglasses to reveal that one of her eyes is still well and truly drooping a couple of weeks after her latest procedure. She is suffering with a little-known side effect called ptosis which occurs when Botox treatment spreads beyond the intended injection area and effects the muscles that lifts these areas, causing the eyelid or eyebrow to sag and droop. Zoe told her followers in the latest video: 'I recently had botox, it went wrong and it's given me ptosis. This has happened to me before and it's now happened a second time. 'People are saying to me, 'why would you go back to the same place?' - I did the same for my wedding, she's done me a lot of times and I trust her. 'She's fully qualified, do you think I'm going to someone on the corner of the street? Of course not. 'We don't know why it's happened again and that's that, we've just got to ride the wave.' Zoe's decision to have Botox once again comes after her sister Molly, 26, recently reflected on days of facial fillers and Botox in her Amazon docuseries. In one of the episodes Molly unearthed a viral image of her flaunting an enlarged pout and defined jawline sparked an influx of trolling including being compared to an XBOX controller. From the age of 16, Molly used makeup and facial fillers to alter her appearance and now admits her obsession to 'look like everybody else' was 'unhealthy.' Molly explained: 'You think that all the makeup and the filler make you look better but actually it makes you look ten times worse. 'I was about 16/17 when I started getting filler. It was a slippery slope. People say I looked like an XBOX controller or a Quagmire, but I don't know what that is. 'It definitely felt like something that I needed to do to look like everybody else that was on Instagram which was really unhealthy. 'I look at those pictures and I feel quite sorry for myself. It just spiralled really. I tried to think it looked good, but it really didn't and then luckily, it was reversible.'

Molly-Mae's ‘pretentious' sister Zoe slammed as ‘ridiculous' for leaving Bali after 2 days as it ‘didn't feel right'
MOLLY-MAE'S sister Zoe Rae has been slammed by fans as 'ridiculous' after cutting her honeymoon in Bali short. Despite staying in a luxury hotel, the social media influencer explained that things didn't feel 'quite right.' 8 8 8 8 Not only this, but Zoe who tied the knot with Danny Rae in July 2024 at the magical Inn on the Lake at Ullswater, Lake District National Park, acknowledged that the pair 'hated' walking around Indonesia, which isn't how many content creators portray it online. Posting on YouTube in her most recent vlog, the influencer documented her and Danny's short lived stay in Uluwatu, the southernmost region of Bali. The village is renowned for its dramatic cliffside location, the iconic Uluwatu Temple and world-class surf breaks. It's a popular destination for tourists seeking stunning sunsets, cultural experiences and surfing adventures, but Molly-Mae 's lookalike older sister Zoe was not a fan. Revealing all on the trip which 'didn't go to plan,' the 28-year-old who left the Army in 2023, revealed: 'Unfortunately Bali wasn't really the right fit for us with how we intended to spend our wedding anniversary!' Zoe went into more detail about why the couple weren't keen on Bali, as she admitted: 'Since landing in Bali, something for us has just not felt quite right. 'We came to Bali with high expectations as we'd seen on social media - everyone having such a lovely time, such gorgeous places to go for food and lovely beaches, lovely gyms, lovely coffee shops. 'If you took a picture of the coffee shop and zoomed out, you would see what the reality was. I don't think the reality of Bali is shown much, or at all. 'I do think it is down to a lot of influencers and people with large followings online, posting the more luxury side of things.' And this isn't the first time Zoe has travelled to exotic locations, as she continued: 'Before I joined the army, I spent five months travelling Southeast Asia - I did Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Lao, I did China, Hong Kong, I did a lot and I spent a lot of time in these countries, but there is something very different about Bali. 'We got told that Uluwatu, where we are now, is one of the best places to go, so that's why we came here. So if this is one of the better places, then I'm not sure what the other places are like. 'I do think if we'd travelled more north and gone to Ubud and maybe some of the more jungle-y areas, we may have had a different experience. 'Again, a lot of people are saying that's where they went and they felt exactly the same.' And it's not just Zoe who feels this way, as she claimed: 'I can really see the appeal, I can. I think if you're backpacking and want to travel about, it's great. 'I think for a holiday, staying in one place, not so great. 8 8 'But then also, I say it's great for people that are backpacking but a lot of people messaged me saying they backpacked all these countries and this has been their least favourite out of all of them. 'I think there are a lot of other places to go where I think you would have a better experience and a better time.' Moments later, Zoe, who recently ended up with botched Botox twice, was joined by Danny, as she highlighted: 'We just wanted to get out didn't we? We did a long walk yesterday, we walked around everywhere and we just hated walking around. It was the most unrelaxing thing Zoe Rae 'Time is precious and when you know you're not happy somewhere, why delay it? If we can go today, why not go today? 'We missed the mark, maybe we didn't do our own research, maybe it is our own fault. 'I did say I was a bit apprehensive about coming.' Moments later, Zoe who Molly-Mae hailed as saving her from "destroying her face', sighed: 'We could sit and waffle all day…I think it's just personal preference and our personal preference is that this wasn't for us and we are making the executive decision to go and enjoy the rest of our anniversary somewhere we know that we love and can just relax and drink water without worrying about being ill in bed for a week.' More on Molly-Mae's sister, Zoe Rae Born on April 29, 1996, Zoe Hague is the older sister of Love Island legend Molly-Mae Hague. When her sister first shot to fame, Zoe was forging a career in the army as a medic. Zoe decided to leave the Army in 2023, and has since switched to being a social media influencer, like her younger sister. She revealed at the time how Molly-Mae tried to bolster her career by offering to help with her tanning mousse brand Filter, but she wanted to make it on her own. Speaking in a YouTube chat back in 2023, Zoe said: 'Molly's offered so many things to me. 'She's offered me to help with Filter [by Molly-Mae]; she's said she'll pay me a monthly wage, but I can't. It's not me. I need to be out and about doing something. 'I'm very lucky she does and she's always offering to get me things, which I'm super super grateful for.' PR guru Nick Ede told The Sun: 'Zoe is fast becoming the one to watch and the new social media 'It girl'. 'She has top brands like Pretty Little Thing, My Protein, Boots and Nadine Marebi all paying her for social media posts - she will be making near a million a year. 'Zoe is going to be on the tips of everyone's tongues and will be making her own small fortune very soon." But Nick said having such a well-known sibling has undoubtedly helped her, whether she likes it or not. He added: 'Having a big star like Molly-Mae as a sister will naturally get you a lot of followers. 'Fans want to know more about family dynamics and also they may get clues from family members as to what Molly's next steps will be." To this, Danny chimed in and recognised: 'We can close this chapter and move on.' Following this, Zoe explained: 'We've been here 48 hours…when you know you know. 'We did a long walk yesterday, we walked around everywhere and we just hated walking around. It was the most unrelaxing thing.' Since leaving Bali, the couple have since gone on to Dubai, where they are staying at The Atlantis Hotel, which ranges from £452 to £1,570 a night. Social media users react Social media users were left totally divided by Zoe's clip, which has since been re-shared numerous times online. While many could 'agree' with her claims, others described her as a 'snob' and thought it was ridiculous that she and Danny were leaving so soon after arriving. One person said: 'I've visited before and I fully agree.' Another added: 'I agree with Zoe, I've been to Bali a couple of times and it's quite dirty, very busy, and over priced for me personally. Everyone is allowed their own opinions!' A third commented: 'I just got back from Bali and I agree.' However, at the same time, one user slammed: 'Ridiculous, did not give it a chance.' A second chimed in: 'Just as pretentious as her sister.' Whilst someone else snapped: 'What a miserable person. I've gone off Molly and glad I don't watch either of them anymore.'
