Rajinikanth starrer Coolie is titled in Hindi as Majadoor? Here's what we know
The Hindi title was recently revealed by the social media handle of Red FM India. While an official confirmation from the production house is yet to be made, it appears that Coolie would indeed be called Majadoor in Hindi.
The Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial is making the headlines as its first single, Chikitu, is getting ready to be unveiled. The track, composed by Anirudh Ravichander, has been crooned by him alongside T Rajendran.
The street-style Tamil banger will release on June 25, 2025, with a music video featuring the rockstar composer himself. The announcement was made by the makers with a promo featuring the musician alongside choreographer-actor Sandy Master.
Get 'Chikitufied' with Anirudh Ravichander in Coolie first single
Earlier in the day, the makers of Coolie teased the single track with a short promo featuring Rajinikanth. The teaser titled Chikitu Vibe showed the superstar with his iconic simple steps, brightening up the screens.
Talking about the film, the upcoming action entertainer is said to feature the veteran actor in a negative role. While the details about the film's plot are still kept under wraps, stars like Nagarjuna Akkineni and Upendra Rao are making appearances with pivotal characters.
Apart from them, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan will be appearing in a special guest role with an ensemble cast of actors like Soubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, and more in key parts. On a side note, Pooja Hegde will be seen in a dance sequence.
The movie slated to release on August 14, 2025, will clash with Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR starrer War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji. Interestingly, Coolie is said to be a standalone film outside of director Lokesh Kanagaraj's Cinematic Universe, LCU.
Moving ahead, Rajinikanth is currently working on his movie Jailer 2 with director Nelson Dilipkumar. The sequel film will be a follow-up to the superstar's blockbuster movie Jailer, with stars like Mohanlal and Shiva Rajkumar expected to reprise their roles from the first installment.

Aanand L Rai Slams AI-Edited Raanjhanaa Ending In New Post: "The Last Three Weeks Have Been..."
New Delhi: Filmmaker Aanand L Rai has expressed strong disapproval of the AI-edited version of his film Raanjhanaa. Titled Ambikapathy, the Tamil version of the movie is set to be re-released in theatres on August 1 with an alternate, happier ending created using Artificial Intelligence (AI). The production banner Eros International has digitally reshaped the film – without its director's consent. In a post shared on Instagram, Aanand L Rai described the AI-edited version of his film as a jarring and disturbing alteration of his artistic vision. The filmmaker wrote, "The past three weeks have been surreal, and deeply upsetting. To watch Raanjhanaa, a film born out of care, conflict, collaboration, and creative risk, be altered, repackaged, and re-released without my knowledge or consent has been nothing short of devastating. What makes it worse is the complete ease and casualness with which it's been done." I'm speaking for everyone who helped bring this film to life. The writer, actors, composer, lyricist, technicians, and larger crew. None of us were consulted. None of us were heard," the filmmaker wrote. Aanand concluded the post, writing, "If Raanjhanaa meant something to you, as it did to us, please know that this AI-altered version does not reflect who we were. New Delhi: The Saiyaara wave is everywhere from box office records to club dancefloors. Director Mohit Suri, in an exclusive chat with NDTV, revealed that the film's massive success has reached his home in the most unexpected way: his wife Udita Goswami, who's a DJ now, is getting flooded with requests to play the Saiyaara soundtrack at gigs. "Yes, my wife is a DJ, suddenly everyone is asking her to play Saiyaara," Mohit said with a smile, acknowledging the surreal moment the entire family is experiencing. The filmmaker added that while his wife has always been his biggest support system, this success feels like her moment just as much as his. "She has known me for the last 22 years. It's very difficult being in her position because the highs are not that high sometimes and the lows are very low but you still have to be there supporting," he said. For the unversed, Udita Goswami made her debut in the Hindi film industry with Pooja Bhatt's Paap (2003). She acted in Mohit Suri's directorial debut Zeher with Emraan Hashmi. She went on to act in films like Aksar, Dil Diya Hai, Kisse Pyaar Karoon, Apartment. But she left films a decade ago and became a DJ. Mohit, who married Udita after a decade of being in the film industry, said the couple skipped holidays and made sacrifices while he was working on Saiyaara. "There's always that one love you share which is your obsession with your film. She made all those sacrifices and never made it difficult for me," he said. Their daughter is now enjoying the spotlight too. "She suddenly realised I'm famous and she's loving the paps covering us. The last time when she was spotted, started making her hair and I was like what are you doing?" he laughed. "My son didn't care much. He's like what is happening?" Meanwhile, Saiyaara minted Rs 273.50 crore at the domestic box office within 13 days of its release. Globally, it crossed the Rs 400 crore mark.
