Inside Denise Richards and Aaron Phypers' ‘intense' off-camera relationship before shocking abuse claims: report
Don't miss out on the headlines from Reality. Followed categories will be added to My News. Denise Richards was allegedly involved in a 'manipulative' and 'intense' off-camera relationship with her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers, while filming Denise Richards & Her Wild Things. 'You could cut tension with a knife sometimes,' an insider claimed to the Daily Mail on Sunday, explaining that the exes were 'passive-aggressive' with each other and would go into separate rooms when the cameras stopped rolling. According to the source, allegedly filming the duo the morning after a night of fighting was difficult because they 'wouldn't speak to each other off camera' despite appearing supportive on TV, reports Page Six. Richards appeared on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Picture: Instagram Phypers popped up regularly on the show. Picture: Instagram The insider claimed Richards, 54, once messed up a scene and Phypers allegedly said, 'Menopause.' The businessman's alleged comments toward the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum made the crew uncomfortable, the source claimed. Per the source, Phypers, 52, appeared 'very threatened' by his estranged wife's success and was allegedly 'trying to prove that he was superior.' 'Aaron walked around as if he was the biggest star on the planet when we were filming,' another source told the outlet. Reps for Richards and Phypers did not immediately respond to Page Six's request for comment. While Richards and Phypers put on a united front for their audience, their tense relationship was previously shown on a season ten episode of RHOBH. A resurfaced clip showed the TV personality and Phypers holding hands, as she warned him not to 'say a f**king word.' 'Don't tell me what to say. I'm going to crush your f**king hand. Stop it,' he aggressively responded. Insiders have spilled on the tension between the pair behind the scenes. Picture: Instagram News broke earlier this month that Phypers filed for divorce from Richards after six years of marriage. At the time, an insider told the outlet that the duo 'have been having trouble for some time' and those close to them saw it coming. Richards has since accused Phypers of abuse and was granted a temporary restraining order against him after alleging he threatened to kill her and himself if she reported him to police, per court documents obtained by Page Six. The Bravo alum also alleged that her ex gave her a black eye in 2022. Phypers, however, denied the allegations, telling People that the allegations were 'completely false and deeply hurtful.' He also accused Richards of infidelity. This article originally appeared in Page Six and was reproduced with permission. Denise Richards granted restraining order amid claims Aaron Phypers 'threatened to kill her'
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Denise Richards claims her ex-husband Aaron Phypers subjected her to physical abuse and threatened to kill her and has been granted a temporary restraining order Denise Richards has claimed her ex-husband, Aaron Phypers, threatened to kill her. New details of their split have emerged after the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was granted a temporary restraining order against her ex, according to reports in the USA. According to TMZ, the restraining order will last through August 8, when the pair are due in court. The publication says he been ordered to stay 100 yards from Denise, her home, her place of work and vehicle. The pair filed for divorce earlier this month after being married for six years. They listed the official date of their separation as July 4, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason behind their split. Meanwhile, Phypers is asking the court to grant him spousal support from Denise, 54. However, they will still appear on their joint reality show, Denise Richards & Her Wild Things, alongside her daughters. Earlier this week, Denise filed for protection from the court, claiming that she had suffered physical abuse during their marriage. Now, new court documents show Denise claimed that she feared for her life after Aaron allegedly threatened to kill her. The reality star said: "Throughout our relationship, Aaron would frequently violently choke me, violently squeeze my head with both hands, tightly squeeze my arms, violently slap me in my face and head, aggressively slam my head into the bathroom towel rack, threaten to kill me, hold me down with his knee on my back to the point where I would have to plead with him to get off me so that he would not kill me and hack into my laptop and phone and download all of my text messages." In the filings she went on to say that Aaron would often threaten to break her jaw and beg her to stay with him if he sought help, "none of which ever happened," she added. She added: "Aaron has caused me at least three concussions. Aaron has told me that he has left recording devices to record me while I was alone in hotel rooms and at my townhouses." On July 4, Denise claimed that Aaron repeatedly became very close to her face, branding her a "c***, w***er," and a "piece of s**t." The day after, she claims that Aaron and his dad got within inches of her face, yelling vile words at her once again, with him allegedly hitting her on the bill of her hat with the back of his hand, causing her hat to fall to the floor. Aaron has not responded to the allegations made against him. In his spousal support documents, he claims he has no income of his own, and estimates that Denise earns over $250,000 per month, which is around £185,000, from OnlyFans, TV work, brand deals and public appearances. In the filing, he estimates that they spend $105,000 - around £77,000 - a month on average and that Denise has been covering it. Their monthly spending is said to include $20K on clothes and $15K on eating out, which is around £15,000 and £11,000 respectively. Aaron has asked to keep their assets and debts as separate property. The request is said to include his power tools, a motorcycle and a sports car. Recently, more details have emerged from their split, with it being said that the "last thing she wanted was another divorce, so he gave her a divorce". "Aaron wanted to hurt her, and he has. Meanwhile, the last thing he wants is to be broke - so she's cutting off his cash flow," a source recently claimed to MailOnline. Following the claims, Aaron has since told TMZ the claims are "not true". He said: "I have all the details. She is creating a story to save her image reporting a conjured up story when I have all the real evidence." The Mirror has approached Denise's spokesperson for comment and reached out to Aaron.

Denise Richards' husband Aaron Phypers files for divorce after six years of marriage
Denise Richards' husband of six years, Aaron Phypers, has filed for divorce, citing 'irreconcilable differences'. Denise, 54, and Aaron, 52, tied the knot in 2018 after meeting in 2017 when Aaron had yet to finalise his divorce from Desperate Housewives actress Nicollette Sheridan. After just six years together, various outlets have confirmed that Aaron has filed for divorce against the Love Actually actress. Paperwork seen by MailOnline confirms that the date of separation was just days ago on July 4, with the cause marked as 'irreconcilable differences,' with Aaron seeking spousal support from Denise. It was reported that Denise's income – due to her reality series, acting roles, OnlyFans account, and brand deals – is estimated at $250,000 per month, while Aaron, a self-employed businessman, has not had an income since his business closed in 2024. It has been reported that Aaron has asked to keep their assets and debts as separate property, which includes his power tools, motorcycle, and sports car. The couple doesn't have any children together, but it was previously reported that Aaron was adopting Denise's youngest daughter Eloise, 14. It is unclear if the adoption process was ever completed. Denise and Aaron met at his work, a healing centre in Malibu, Quantum, which closed last year, where she visited for 'preventative DNA repair'. The pair began dating in 2017, and within months, the couple were engaged. The two wed in September 2018 in Malibu in a ceremony that was filmed for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, a show that documented some of their relationship. The couple hit the rocks two years after their marriage when Denise was linked to a fellow Housewives cast member, Brandi Glanville. The rumours led Denise to leave the show after season 10 in 2020. Speaking about her marriage recently, Denise said she would never get divorced from Aaron. During the March premiere of her spin-off Bravo show, Denise Richards & Her Wild Things, she said with Aaron sitting next to her: 'I'll never get divorced again, even if we hate each other.' Aaron said if needed, they would just 'get different homes.' But was confident that they were 'not gonna hate each other.' Denise, who posts regularly on social media, hadn't shared an image of her husband since April 9, when she shared a video of the two of them promoting the new season of their show. In the same month, the star also posted an image of herself with her daughter and ex, Charlie Sheen, who made a cameo on her show when they went for dinner with their daughter. Denise was previously married to Charlie from 2002 until 2006. More Trending The former couple has two daughters together, Sami, 21, and Lola, 20, who appear in Denise's Bravo series. Richards also has a 14-year-old daughter Eloise, who she adopted in May 2011. 'I felt like I wasn't done having children, and I've always wanted to have a large family,' Richards told PEOPLE in 2012. 'And so after my divorce, I felt like, 'Oh well, I'm sure I'll soon enough get remarried and have my family [grow],' and that wasn't in the cards at the time, so I decided to expand my family on my own.'
