Updated WTC 2025-27 Points Table After AUS Secure 133-Run Win Over WI In 2nd Test
The 133-run win over the West Indies in Grenada helped Australia retain the numero uno position in the WTC 2025-27 points table.
Australia hammered the West Indies by 133 runs on Sunday (July 6) to win the second Test of the ongoing three-match series. In the match played at National Cricket Stadium in St. Georges, Grenada, the Aussies set a target of 277 runs for the hosts to chase down, but Roston Chase & Co. could only manage to score 143 runs in 34.3 overs.
Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon picked three wickets each for the Baggy Greens to help them secure a second win in a row over the West Indies team in their first overseas tour of the 2025-27 World Test Championship (WTC) cycle.
The win in Grenada inside four days helped Australia maintain their numero uno position in the WTC 2025-27 points table. The 2023 winners have 24 points and 100 PCT%.
The West Indies, on the other hand, remained sixth with 0 points and 0 PCT%.
The Sri Lankan team, after securing a 1-0 win over Bangladesh in the two-match Test series played at home last month, remain 2nd in the points table. They have 16 points to their credit and 66.67 PCT%.
India, after getting the better of England by 336 runs in Birmingham, are in third place. The Shubman Gill-led side has 12 points out of the available 24 and 50 PCT%. England also have 12 points and 50 PCT% but they are in fourth place.
Bangladesh take the No. 5 position with 4 points and 16.67 PCT%.
Bangladesh played a draw against Sri Lanka in Galle last month, which helped them earn four points.

A total of three teams—New Zealand, Pakistan, and South Africa—are yet to play any match in the ongoing 2025-27 WTC cycle.
2025 WTC winners South Africa will kick off their campaign in the 2025-27 WTC against India in November 2025. The two teams are scheduled to face each other in a two-match Test series in India. The series opener will be played at Eden Gardens in Kolkata from November 14 to 18, and Guwahati's Barsapara Cricket Stadium will host the second red-ball match from November 22 to 26.
On the other hand, 2021 WTC winners New Zealand will take on the West Indies in their first series of the 2025-27 WTC. The three-match Test series between New Zealand and the West Indies is scheduled to take place in New Zealand in December 2025.
