Trump Being Booed At World Cup Final Goes Viral
Over the weekend, Chelsea F.C. claimed the trophy for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup after beating Paris Saint-Germain 3–0. But the other story coming out of the game at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium is President Donald Trump's appearance. The president seemed to have no issue making himself the center of attention at the event, but the crowd seems to have had other opinions. In a clip with 3.5 million views and counting, Trump can be seen saluting while the national anthem is played before the game, surrounded (from bottom left) by Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, first lady Melania Trump, FIFA President Gianni Infantino, and his wife, Leena Al Ashqar. As he appears on the jumbotron, the crowd erupts in a series of boos. The song continues as Trump looks around. The internet, being the internet, had THOUGHTS. More than one user questioned why the president, who never served in the military, would salute during the national anthem. One called it "The Bufoon Salute." This person sarcastically said that Trump had "more important things going on right now" than the Epstein files — like going to a soccer game. Someone called the booing "Music to my ears." Finally, this person said that the booing was "a verdict. The world sees the grift for what it is. The flags may wave, but the blind loyalty is fading fast." What do you think? Sound off in the comments.

Hakimi, Bounou Named in Club World Cup Best XI
Rabat – Moroccan internationals Yassine Bounou and Achraf Hakimi left their mark on the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, earning places in the tournament's best XI after a series of standout performances in the US. Bounou, who plays for Saudi club Al-Hilal, stood tall throughout the tournament. In a tightly contested match against Manchester City, he made 10 saves, matching a tournament record. His efforts helped the club reach the quarter-finals, where they narrowly lost 2-1 to Fluminense. At the other end of the field, Hakimi brought speed and control to PSG's right flank. The right-back scored in a 4-0 victory over Inter Miami and delivered consistent performances despite scorching heat and difficult weather conditions. PSG reached the final but were outclassed 3-0 by Chelsea. The Best XI also includes Marquinhos and Vitinha (PSG), Cucurella, Pedro Neto, Enzo Fernandez, and Cole Palmer (Chelsea), Thiago Silva and Jhon Arias (Fluminense), and Gonzalo Garcia (Real Madrid). This first-ever edition of the tournament brought together 32 clubs from six football federations in a World Cup-style format. Chelsea Crowned Club World Cup Champions After Beating PSG
H-Tayea Chelsea FC have been crowned champions of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup after defeating Paris Saint-Germain in a high-stakes final at MetLife Stadium in the United States on Sunday. The match was attended by U.S. President Donald Trump, adding further global attention to what was already a historic football event. The English club lifted the trophy and received gold medals and prize money exceeding $114.4 million, while PSG claimed silver medals and earned $106.7 million. According to global football valuation site Transfermarkt, the market value of the final was estimated at approximately $2.8 billion—making it one of the most valuable club matches ever played. Cole Palmer Stars As Chelsea Beat PSG 3-0 To Win Expanded FIFA Club World Cup
Last Updated: Chelsea defeated PSG 3-0 to win the Club World Cup. Cole Palmer scored twice and Joao Pedro added a third goal. Chelsea defeated 10-man Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 in the Club World Cup final at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, to become the first winner of the newly expanded tournament. Cole Palmer scored twice in the first half-hour, and Joao Pedro added a third goal before halftime. A thoroughly defeated PSG saw Joao Neves sent off late in the game. How Chelsea Beat PSG To Win 2025 FIFA Club World Cup? Thirty-two teams from around the globe entered the competition, but it concluded with an all-European final. PSG, the reigning Champions League winner, defeated Inter Milan 5-0 in that title match. Chelsea, on the other hand, won the third-tier UEFA Conference League in May. Parts of the stadium thought Chelsea had scored when Cole Palmer's curling effort hit the side netting in the eighth minute. Chelsea wouldn't have wanted that chance to fall to anyone else but Palmer, despite his quiet form in front of goal since the turn of the year. PSG's first chance fell to Desire Doue, the player of the match in the Champions League final, but he made a mistake. With the ball at his feet and close to goal, he opted to cut it back for Achraf Hakimi, who would have had a tap-in. Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella intercepted, and the chance was lost. Palmer didn't miss from the same spot in the 22nd minute. He had earlier fired wide from a similar spot, but this time, he curled a low shot that ended up inside the right post. Palmer's superb composure allowed him to thread the shot past the PSG defence and beyond goalkeeper Gianluigi Donarumma. Joao Pedro made it 3-0 with a delightful flick over goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma in the 43rd minute. Chelsea again exploited PSG's left defence, with a brilliant through ball by Cole Palmer. PSG's woes were compounded when Joao Neves received a red card in the 83rd minute for pulling Marc Cucurella's hair. Why Real Madrid vs Fluminense third-place clash isn't happening at Club World Cup 2025
By Aman Shukla Published on July 12, 2025, 16:29 IST The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup has been a thrilling ride, with top clubs like Real Madrid and Fluminense battling it out on the global stage in the United States. Fans were hoping for a blockbuster third-place play-off between these two giants after their semi-final exits. However, FIFA has confirmed that no such match will take place. Here's a clear and friendly explanation of why Real Madrid and Fluminense won't be facing off for the bronze medal. A New Format for the Club World Cup The 2025 Club World Cup is the first to feature an expanded 32-team format, running from June 14 to July 13. Unlike previous editions or the FIFA World Cup for national teams, this tournament does not include a third-place play-off. FIFA made this deliberate choice to prioritize player welfare and streamline the schedule, allowing teams to return home sooner after a grueling month-long competition. What Happened in the Semi-Finals? Real Madrid and Fluminense both entered the Club World Cup with high hopes but fell short in the semi-finals. Real Madrid suffered a shocking 4-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), with goals from Fabian Ruiz (twice), Ousmane Dembélé, and Gonçalo Ramos. Meanwhile, Fluminense lost 2-0 to Chelsea, with João Pedro scoring both goals against his former club. These results set up a PSG vs. Chelsea final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 13, leaving Real Madrid and Fluminense to head home early.
