AEW All In: Texas just got even bigger, with a massive match announced for the show by Tony Khan. During Wednesday's episode of AEW Fyter Fest, it was confirmed that Kenny Omega and Kazuchika Okada would take part in a Winner Takes All Match. The winner would get both the AEW Continental Championship, and the AEW International Championship. Advertisement The match came to be, in part, due to a confrontation between the pair. On Wednesday's show, the two got into a brief brawl that ended with Okada just barely getting out of a One-Winged Angel. The two superstars are two of the biggest in AEW, and fans quickly took to social media to celebrate the news. Briscoe has good reason to fight Moxley, more matches added to Fyter Fest
AEW is serving a 'free PPV' in Fyter Fest on Wednesday, June 4 from Denver, CO. The special will act as a four-hour block of Dynamite and Collision airing all in the same night. The card is coming together quickly with Jon Moxley in a non-title bout, Toni Storm in tag team action, Kenny Omega in a four-way championship defense, and more. Moxley has a fight for Fyter Fest. Mark Briscoe called that scallywag out. Briscoe was choked unconscious by Moxley in the recent six-man tag. When Briscoe went back home, his young son asked if daddy quit. Briscoe will never quit. Now, his kids are doubting him. Briscoe challenged Moxley to a match. This isn't about the AEW world title. This is about erasing those doubts in the eyes of his kids by kicking Mox's ass. Advertisement AEW made the non-title bout official for Fyter Fest. After Mina Shirakawa bested Skye Blue in the ring, Julia Hart ran in to attack Mina. Toni Storm made the save, and now a tag team bout is cooking. Storm and Mina will wrestle the spooky sisters at Fyter Fest. As an added bonus, Mercedes Moné will be on commentary. Kenny Omega's four-way AEW International Championship bout is set. Brody King, Claudio Castagnoli, and Mascara Dorada from CMLL each won qualifier bouts in a mini tournament. Ricochet Misses AEW Dynamite, Set To Marry Samantha Irvin
Photo Credit: AEW Ricochet and Samantha Irvin are set to get married. Ricochet appeared in a video message on the March 26th episode of AEW Dynamite. He noted that he was not there because he was preparing for his wedding. He called it the best day of his life. Ricochet went on to say that he'd have the title and the girl once he won the AEW International Championship at AEW Dynasty. Update: Fightful Select reported that Ricochet had time off for his wedding, as he and Irvin got married this past weekend. Advertisement Irvin and Ricochet announced that they were engaged in January 2023. They worked together in WWE until Ricochet left the company in July 2024. He then signed with AEW in August. New AEW International Champion Crowned At AEW Revolution
The AEW International Championship changed hands at AEW Revolution. At AEW Revolution, Kenny Omega challenged Konosuke Takeshita for the AEW International Championship. The bout marked Omega's first match on a standard AEW pay-per-view since AEW Full Gear 2023, as he missed over a year due to diverticulitis. Omega and Takeshita battled it out in a hard-fought match. Don Callis interfered multiple times, but Omega persevered and scored the win by catching Takeshita with a pin attempt that kept him down for the count. As a result, Omega won the AEW International Championship for the first time. Takeshita was in his first reign with the gold. He won the title by defeating Will Ospreay and Ricochet at AEW WrestleDream in October 2024. Takeshita had held the title for 148 days. Here's how the match broke down, courtesy of our play-by-play: Omega rallies and spikes Takeshita on the apron. Takeshita dives Omega off the barricade, and he lands on the guardrail. Omega rallies with a crossbody. He keeps rolling with a hurricanrana and goes to dive onto Takeshita, but Callis stops him. Takeshita clotheslines Omega over the ropes. Takeshita suplexes Omega on the floor. He slams Omega abdomen-first onto the underside of a table and slams him again onto the edge of a table. Takeshita keeps Omega grounded. Omega dodges a senton. Omega hits a snap Dragon suplex and a V-trigger. He hits a knee strike. Takeshita hits a Blue Thunder Bomb for a two-count. Omega rallies again and hits a sunset flip powerbomb. Omega hits a V-trigger again. He goes for a Tombstone, but Takeshita counters into one of his own. He hits a knee strike for a two-count. Taekeshita hits another stiff shot. Omega nails him with a ripcord V-trigger and a piledriver. Omega nails him with another V-trigger. Takeshita rallies but eats a nasty knee strike. Callis grabs Takeshita's hand.
