Aboriginal singer Miss Kaninna disturbs with appalling act aimed at the King outside Buckingham Palace - as Lidia Thorpe stages her own stunt
An Aboriginal artist has pretended to be strung up with a noose in front of Buckingham Palace while singing a song about killing the King - as Australian senator Lidia Thorpe performed her own one-woman stunt in the same spot. Miss Kaninna, whose real name is Kaninna Langford, staged an impromptu performance of her song 'Pinnacle B****' outside the royal residence in the heart of London this week. 'And I'm running down these streets / Screaming, f*** the police,' she sung as a British police officer walked past in the background, oblivious. While miming a nose around her neck, she added: 'If I ever met the king/ Break his neck with a string'. The short clip ended with Miss Kaninna giving both fingers to the King's administrative headquarters. 'Flew all the way to the UK to play my song in front of Buckingham Palace,' she captioned the post. 'YOUR NOT MY KING !! #Alwayswasalwayswillbe #Aboriginal #Landback #thecolonywillfall.' Miss Kaninnna, a Yorta Yorta, Djadja Wurrung, Kalkadoon and Yirendali woman who grew up on Bruny Island off Tasmania's south coast, released her self-titled debut EP in September 2024. She became the first independent Aboriginal woman to ever be nominated for a debut single at the ARIA awards that same year. Daily Mail Australia approached Miss Kaninna's management company for comment. This publication reported on Wednesday that fellow King-protester Senator Lidia Thorpe is also in London this week. Senator Thorpe also staged her own mini-protest outside the gates of Buckingham Palace. Holding an Aboriginal flag and wearing a 'Blak Sovereign Movement' t-shirt, she also swore at the royal residence. 'Dropped by to collect all the stuff this lot stole, but Charlie wasn't in,' she captioned the pictures. The independent senator made global headlines last year when she heckled the King and Queen during their state visit Down Under. 'Give us what you stole from us! Our bones, our skulls our babies, our people!' she screamed at the bemused monarchs. 'You destroyed our land. Give us a treaty! We want a treaty in this country! You are a genocidialist [sic]!' Thorpe said. A spokesperson for the former Greens Senator said she was in the UK attending a conference. Thorpe's antipathy for the King certainly has not diminished. Last week, on the King's Birthday long weekend, she posted this cheerful message: 'I would normally give presents to someone on their birthday but I think you owe us enough. 'It's time for you to start giving land back and everything else you stole from us.' 'So I'm not wishing you a happy birthday. Can you get it, like, we celebrate a public holiday because of some King that lives on the other side of the world.' 'You are not sovereign. You are not our King - and f*** the colony.' Thorpe's protest sparked a heated debate. 'All hail Queen Senator Thorpe. Thanks for always being the ultimate baddie. We love you,' someone wrote. Another said: 'Yas, show Charles how's is done Sen Thorpe.' But there were several comments telling the senator to 'grow up'.

Guy Sebastian shares sweet throwback photo with wife Jules as the couple celebrate 17 years of marriage... after the pop star suffered a horrific sporting injury
Guy Sebastian has shared a sweet tribute to his wife Jules, as the couple celebrate their 17th wedding anniversary. The pop star took to Instagram on Saturday to share an adorable throwback photo of the couple on the red carpet at the 2004 ARIA awards. The photo was taken four years before the couple tied the knot, bit it is clear that they were very much in love. The photo showed Guy, sporting his then trademark black curly hair, standing on the red carpet with his future bride. As Jules smiled broadly for the waiting photographers, Guy could only stare lovingly at his partner. It turned out to be quite the auspicious night for Guy, too, picking up his first ARIA award for selling single with his post-Australian Idol track Angels Brought Me Here. Captioning the post, guy also made a comedic reference to his recent sporting injury that saw him rushed to hospital requiring surgery on a ruptured Achilles tendon. 'Happy 17th anniversary @julessebastian,' he wrote. 'I bet you thought you wouldn't have to help me get in the shower for a few more years.' He kept the joke going with an inset on the image that showed Stan Laurel from iconic comedy group Laurel and Hardy. The picture, taken from the 1934 film Country Hospital, showed Stan lying in a hospital bed with his leg, enveloped in a plaster cast, elevated as he reads a book. The incident occurred after Guy teamed up with AFL great and radio host Brendan Fevola last weekend to help struggling club Masala Dandenong break a long losing streak However, Guy's afternoon was cut short by injury with the pop star seen limping from the park in the fourth quarter. Guy took to social media after the match, writing: 'Thought I'd strap on the boots after a LONG hiatus and performed for the locals. 'Great day out for Masala Dandenong getting their first win with @brendanfevola25 kicking a bag! 'Unfortunately I've done a proper number on myself. #realitycheck #sticktosinging #footyglorydaysareover.' Brendan revealed the extent of Guy's injuries the following day on Channel 7's Sunday Footy Feast. 'Fourth quarter, I saw him fall down and I couldn't stop laughing because he just fell. I was like "mate, singers shouldn't play footy, footy players shouldn't sing, keep to your genre"', he said. 'And he looked around and he goes "I think something popped". I said that's not good, because I've done both Achilles. 'He's ruptured his Achilles. He's getting surgery on Monday and is in hospital. So he missed his mate's 40th but hey we got good headlines, which is great (laughs).' Guy and Jules (née Egan) became engaged in late 2007 after eight years of courtship. They tied the knot in May 2008 and have since welcomed two sons, Hudson 12, and Archie 11. In 2020, Guy revealed to Who Australia Jules was hesitant to have children when they first started dating. 'Jules was a tomboy growing up. You know how some women growing up are kind of like, "I just can't wait to be a mum?"' he said. 'Whereas Jules was petrified of it. I never heard the words "I want to be mum" ever come out of her mouth because I think she was scared that she wouldn't do a good job,' he said. Despite her reservations, Guy claims Jules has naturally taken to motherhood with the couple's two sons. 'The thing that I've seen her do unbelievably well is be a mum,' the pop star said, praising his wife. 'I think you have a newfound love for your partner when you see them in a role like that – nurturing and looking after the people that matter the most to you. She's killing it!' he added.

Aussie rockstar wears thongs on her bust during wild performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon
An Australian rocker has left little to the imagination after she took to the stage wearing a pair of thong sandals on her breasts. The frontwoman of Amyl and the Sniffers, Amy Taylor, appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday to perform her hit song Tiny Bikini. Amy, 29, could be seen wearing mismatching thongs on her chest, one pink and one purple, as she danced across the stage and sang her lungs out to the high-energy tune. She paired the adventurous choice of top with a pair of knee-high leather boots and tiny leather shorts that laced up on the sides, showing off her trim pins and toned abs as she rocked out on the stage. The popstar wore her blond locks in a nostalgic 80s do while donning bright blue eye makeup and red lipstick. The punk rock band, based in Melbourne, have won three Aria Awards, including Best Group in 2022. Amyl and the Sniffers made headlines last year after dropping an X-rated clip for their single Jerkin '. A censored version of the clip is available on YouTube, but the band have taken to their website to upload a no-holds-barred uncensored version which features a barrage of full frontal nudity. The video begins with a content warning, telling viewers that the purpose of the clip was not titillation but rather the promotion of body positivity. 'This video contains nudity and adult themes,' the warning began. 'The content is intended for artistic expression and body positivity, not for sexual gratification.' The video then shows firebrand frontwoman Amy Taylor belting out the tune which contains such lines as: 'You're a dumb c**t, you're an a**ehole, every time you talk you mumble, grumble.' She is flanked by bandmates Bryce Wilson, Declan Martens and Gus Romer, who are joined by an array of male and female models who gradually strip down as the song plays. In a statement on the band's website, director John Angus Stewart said he was perplexed by the offence some people take to nudity. 'The level of offence that a vagina or penis can generate is absolutely bizarre,' he said 'Once Amy said to me, "If the world wasn't so f**cked up, I'd never wear clothes."' He continued: 'It's the context we stamp onto our sex organs that makes them innately "offensive." This is why we wanted to strip away the artifice and examine the body in an open, conversational way.' The director added that the models were allowed to dictate the pace of the shoot. 'From concept to crewing to casting, we [the production] let the project evolve in the most natural way possible, allowing our subjects to dictate their level of input based on their comfort on the day,' he said. 'We were learning what it was as we were making it, which is basically the opposite approach I'm used to. 'But because this idea was driven by people's personalities, it felt wrong to do it any other way. ' He concluded by saying that the entire production walked away from the shoot with a need to be 'less prudish.' 'Just as one's perspective changes with an Amyl song, I want to change in the same way,' the statement read. 'I think we all walked away from the shoot with an innate need to be less prudish and give less of a s**t.' It's not the first time an Aussie band has used nudity to augment a tune, either. Aussie dance pop act Confidence Man's 'nuded up' for the video for their 2024 track I Can't Lose You.
