Billy Ray Cyrus 'fixing toxic family feud' after startling realisation

Liz Hurley and Billy Rae Cyrus raised eyebrows when they went public but not only are they smitten, says a source, the model is helping her country singer boyfriend turn his life around Elizabeth Hurley and her country legend beau Billy Ray Cyrus have been cosying up at glamorous events since going public in April – but their romance runs far deeper than red carpet appearances together, a source close to Liz has claimed to OK!. They told OK! that Liz, 60, is also helping mend the 63-year-old singer's heartache, by gently encouraging him to fix his fractured relationships with his children, including singers Miley and Noah, after he 'pushed them all away'. ‌ ‌ 'Liz is the love of Billy Ray's life – that's what he calls her,' claimed the source. 'Her friends are saying she's never been happier and that she feels she can totally turn his life around. He's seen how close she is to her own son, Damian and she is helping him mend those sometimes difficult relationships with his daughter and the rest of the family. She's helping him reconnect with his family and mend those relationships. She knows how important it is, as she's very close with Damian and she wants the same for Billy Ray. They're stronger than ever – he's fallen for her in every possible way. She's hoping she will be the guiding light and bring out the best in him.' Achy Breaky Heart singer Billy Ray has described Liz as 'a great human being' and credited her with bringing joy back into his life. The couple have appeared together at several high-profile events, from the Orizzonti/Rosso exhibition in Rome to various fundraising galas in London. They sent shockwaves through the showbiz world when they went public in April, following one of the most difficult chapters in Billy Ray's life. The American singer had been dealing with the fallout from his split from second wife Tish – who he had been married to for 30 years in 2022. This was followed by his subsequent brief marriage to third wife Firerose, who he married in 2023 and divorced in 2024. ‌ There were rumours of tension, following his split from Tish, among his six children – Miley, Noah and Braison (who he had with Tish), Brandi and Trace (who he adopted during his marriage to their mother, Tish) and Christopher (who he had with former girlfriend Kristin Luckey). Trace, 36, posted an open letter to his dad on Instagram in January to say the family were 'genuinely worried' about him. He wrote, 'Since my earliest memories, all I can remember is being obsessed with you and thinking you were the coolest person ever. I wanted to be just like you. The day you adopted me was the happiest day of my life. "Sadly, the man that I wanted so desperately to be just like I barely recognise now. It seems this world has beaten you down and it's become obvious to everyone but you. You may be upset with me for posting this but I really couldn't care less at this point. Me and the girls have been genuinely worried about you for years but you've pushed all of us away.' ‌ While Miley didn't respond to her brother's statement, there were rumours she had fallen out with her dad too. However, since Billy Ray started dating Liz, the family appear to be coming back together. The pair headed out to support Miley at the premiere of her new film Something Beautiful in London last month. 'Billy Ray has been on the wrong track and was previously hitting the bottle and struggling,' said our source. 'Liz leads a super clean lifestyle – she's very fit, super into what she eats and keeping in top shape, and she's trying to help him in every area of his life, from his health to his family.' ‌ Billy Ray and Liz's friendship began when they filmed the 2022 festive flick Christmas In Paradise together. Billy Ray previously revealed that Liz had contacted him while he was experiencing difficulties in his personal life, which became the trigger for their romance. Appearing on Apple Music Country's The Ty Bentli Show , Billy Ray recalled, 'I felt like, 'Wow, can life get any harder? Can it get any tougher?' For me, at a certain point, it was like, you can't get knocked down any flatter than lying on your back when life is kicking you. And in this moment a friend reached out.' Billy Ray said Liz's message said something like, 'Hey, it looks like life might be a little bit tough and just wanted you to know I'm in your corner – you've got a friend in your corner.' Billy explained that he didn't have Liz's number saved in his mobile and was baffled by who was behind the message. 'So, I text back, 'Who is this?' And it's like, 'Elizabeth Hurley.' Of all the people to reach out to me in that second that maybe I needed most – this friend who made me laugh.'

Trace Cyrus Slams ‘Pathetic' Dad Billy Ray for Allegedly Skipping Mother-in-Law's Funeral

Trace Cyrus is once again airing out his grievances against father Billy Ray Cyrus, whom the Metro Station musician called a 'delusional, evil person' while accusing him of skipping an important family member's funeral Tuesday (June 10). In a post on Instagram, Trace wrote a heated message under a photo of his dad that started with, 'This man is so hungry for fame it's pathetic.' 'Even after his daughter got him a $60k private jet like he demanded.' 'You're the lamest man ever to walk planet earth,' Trace added. 'Honestly embarrassed to have ever considered you my idol. The best thing to come from your downfall is it made me go into beast mode. I refuse to be a washed up, delusional, evil person when I'm old like you.' Billy Ray's rep had no comment when contacted by Billboard. The 'Achy Breaky Heart' singer's relationship with his adopted son has been fraught for some time now. In January, Trace shared an open letter to his dad, stating that he and his sisters were 'genuinely worried' for Billy Ray. 'You've pushed all of us away,' the younger Cyrus wrote at the time. 'We are all hanging on to memories of the man we once knew and hoping for the day he returns. You're not healthy, Dad and everyone is noticing it.' Shortly afterward, Billy Ray posted that he was 'praying' for his family. After marrying Tish in 1993, the country star — who is also Dad to a son named Christopher from a previous relationship — adopted his then-wife's two kids, Trace and Brandi. The former couple welcomed three more children: Miley, Noah and Braison. Billy Ray and Tish divorced in 2022, and rumors of a rift in the Cyrus family have ebbed and flowed pretty much ever since. In a recent interview with The New York Times, however, Miley said that she was no longer 'estranged' from her father, adding, 'My dad and I have had our challenges over the years … I'm at peace knowing bridges have been built and time has done a lot of healing.' Tish is now remarried to actor Dominic Purcell, while Billy Ray is dating actress Elizabeth Hurley after ending his seven-month marriage to singer-songwriter Firerose in June 2024. In that same NYT interview, the 'Flowers' singer commented on her parents' new relationships, telling the publication, 'Now that my mom is so in love with my stepdad, who I completely adore, and now that my dad, I see him finding happiness, too — I can love them both as individuals instead of as a parental pairing.' Billy Ray Cyrus Shares Throwback Family Photos for Father's Day

Billy Ray Cyrus is celebrating Father's Day with a trip down memory lane. The 'Achy Breaky Heart' star posted several family photos in honor of the day on Instagram and X, and wished a 'Happy Father's Day' to all those around him. The mini picture collection includes snapshots of Billy Ray and family members throughout the years. One cute highlight is a very young Miley Cyrus giving the camera quite a serious gaze while riding a pink, toddler-sized trike with handlebar tassels. 'Stand Still'. Happy Father's Day to everyone ! Mothers… sisters ….brothers ….friends included !' Cyrus captioned the picture slideshow on Sunday (June 15). Apparently not shown in the country singer's Father's Day post is son Trace, who's seemingly had a fraught relationship as of late with Billy Ray, whom he recently said is 'the lamest man ever to walk planet earth.' The Metro Station musician referred to him as a 'delusional, evil person' last week — claiming he skipped the funeral of his 'Mammie,' the late mother of Tish Cyrus, back when Billy Ray was still married to Tish. His comments came upon seeing that Billy Ray 'flew to Italy for a fashion show' (with girlfriend Elizabeth Hurley). 'This man is so hungry for fame it's pathetic,' wrote Trace on June 10. Miley's had more positive thoughts to share. In an interview with The New York Times, the Something Beautiful singer shared candid remarks on her father's current relationship with the English actress. 'As I've gotten older, I'm respecting my parents as individuals instead of as parents,' she said. 'My mom's really loved my dad for her whole life, and I think being married to someone in the music industry and not being a part of it is obviously really hard,' Miley explained. 'And so I think I took on some of my mom's hurt as my own, because it hurt her more than it hurt me as an adult, and so I owned a lot of her pain. But now that my mom is so in love with my stepdad, who I completely adore, and now that my dad, I see him finding happiness, too — I can love them both as individuals instead of as a parental pairing.' 'I'm being an adult about it,' she added. 'At first it's hard, because the little kid in you reacts before the adult in you can go, 'Yes, that's your dad, but that's just another person that deserves to be in his bliss and to be happy.' My child self has caught up.' See Billy Ray's Father's Day post on Instagram here. Trace Cyrus Attacks 'Pathetic' Billy Ray Cyrus Online: 'So Hungry For Fame'

has unleashed a furious attack on his father, , calling him "evil" and "pathetic" in a blistering Instagram post on Tuesday. The 36-year-old music artist didn't hold back, accusing the "Achy Breaky Heart" singer of being "hungry for fame" and of prioritizing his own public image over family. Trace Cyrus specifically criticized his father for not attending the funeral of his grandmother, despite recently traveling to Italy with girlfriend The post comes five months after Trace had pleaded for Billy Ray to seek help following what he called a "trainwreck" performance at Trump's inauguration in January. 'This man is so hungry for fame it's pathetic,' Trace began in his latest post, clearly frustrated by his father's recent actions. He later recounted how his father flew to Italy for a fashion show, but couldn't make the trip to Los Angeles for the funeral of Trace's maternal grandmother, who had passed away. 'He really flew to Italy for a fashion show but wouldn't come to LA for Mammie's funeral while he was still married to my mom,' Trace wrote, referring to his mother, . 'Even after his daughter got him a 60k private jet like he demanded, he still didn't come, even after the plane was paid for.' Trace's anger didn't stop there. He continued to call his father 'the lamest man to ever walk planet earth,' expressing deep embarrassment for ever having considered him a role model. 'The best thing to come from your downfall is it made me go into beast mode. I refuse to be a washed-up, delusional, evil person when I'm old like you. Christ is King. Get right with God. You need it,' Trace concluded. In a follow-up, Trace continued to criticize his father's appearance, writing, 'Also why does he think that homeless hairstyle looks good? So weird.' Though the comments on the Instagram post were seemingly disabled, Trace shared a screenshot on his Instagram Stories of a follower's comment before it was removed. The follower wrote, 'Seems like a cry for help from a son that desperately needs attention from his father. Bullying him isn't the answer btw.' Trace, however, shot back, explaining that he had "surpassed" his father in many ways and had no desire to ever speak to him again. 'I'm past the point of even caring if I ever speak to him again,' Trace said. 'I've surpassed him in every metric as a man on this planet. There's nothing left to learn from him except from his mistakes. I had hope at one point, but I'm convinced he's finally a lost cause.' Towards the end of his response, Trace made it clear that he planned to continue thriving and, as the oldest son in the family, to carry on the Cyrus legacy. 'The Cyrus last name will continue through me and my many children I plan to have,' he wrote. 'I will raise them the right way and be a part of their life no matter what the circumstances are.' Billy Ray Cyrus has had a tumultuous relationship with his children, having been married three times and fathered six kids. Trace is one of Billy's children from his marriage to Tish Cyrus, who also gave birth to Miley, Noah, and Braison. Billy is also the father of Brandi and Trace from his marriage to Tish, and Christopher from his previous relationship with Kristen Luckey. The father-son relationship between Billy Ray and Trace has been strained for some time, especially after Billy's controversial performance at the Liberty Ball during Trump's inauguration in January. Billy Ray's performance, plagued by technical issues, was heavily criticized, prompting Trace to urge his father to get help. 'Pappy is looking down on you with such disappointment,' Trace claimed in a January Instagram Stories. 'You should be ashamed of yourself. I will always love you, but I no longer respect you as a man. Everyone close to you is terrified to tell you how they really feel. I'm not. Get help.' It's clear that the rift between Billy Ray and Trace continues to grow, with Trace now making it clear that he's done trying to repair the relationship, focusing instead on his own growth and future.

How Miley Cyrus really feels about dad Billy Ray's surprising romance with Elizabeth Hurley: ‘I'm being an adult about it'

Miley Cyrus used to be young, but now she's handling her parents' new relationships like a grown-up. The singer shared her feelings on her father Billy Ray Cyrus' romance with Elizabeth Hurley during Saturday's episode of the 'Interview' podcast, explaining she's 'being an adult' about the situation. 'At first, it's hard because the little kid in you reacts before the adult in you can go, 'Yes, that's your dad, but that's just another person that deserves to be in his bliss and to be happy,'' she said. 'So my adult self has caught up.' The 'Flowers' hitmaker also confirmed she and her father are no longer estranged after their reunion at her brother Braison's 31st birthday party earlier this month. The father-daughter rift reportedly dates back to 2022 when Billy Ray and Miley's mom, Tish Cyrus, announced they were divorcing after nearly 30 years of marriage. 'I think timing is everything. You know, there's been enough bridges now of time to get us all reconnected,' the pop star said. Miley added that she's had to learn to '[respect] her parents as individuals.' 'My mom's really loved my dad for her whole life,' she continued. 'And I think being married to someone in the music industry and not being a part of it is obviously really hard.' Miley, 32, admitted that she 'took on some of [her] mom's hurt' during her parents' breakup. 'But now that my mom is like so in love with my stepdad Dom, who I also just completely adore. And now that my dad, I see him finding happiness outside of that too, I can love them both as individuals instead of as a kind of, you know, a parental pairing,' she said. Tish married 'Prison Break' actor Dominic Purcell in August 2022. In April, the 'Achy Breaky Heart' hitmaker sent shockwaves when he revealed his relationship with the 'Austin Powers' actress, 59, over Easter weekend. In the snap, the two-time Grammy winner, 63, planted a kiss on Hurley's cheek as she smiled. A source exclusively told Page Six last month that the couple has 'been friends for a long time and both found themselves single at the same time.' The country music singer's new relationship came nearly a year after he finalized his contentious divorce from Firerose in August 2024.
