PTC Industries' subsidiary ATL signs MoU with Safran Aircraft Engines to strengthen India's defence aerospace ecosystem

PTC Industries Limited announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Aerolloy Technologies Limited (ATL), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Safran Aircraft Engines, a global leader in aerospace propulsion. This partnership aims to deepen cooperation in the manufacturing of critical components and materials for military aircraft engines. ATL, known for its expertise in aerospace-grade castings and materials, will work closely with Safran to support India's growing defense and aerospace needs. The collaboration aligns with the Indian Government's 'Make in India' initiative, reinforcing efforts to strengthen the local manufacturing ecosystem for defense technologies. This MoU builds on the existing relationship between ATL and Safran, particularly their successful collaboration on commercial LEAP engines used in civil aviation. With this new step, both companies aim to expand their cooperation into the military space, supporting the development of an indigenous aeroengine ecosystem. Sachin Agarwal, Chairman and Managing Director of PTC Industries, stated: 'This Memorandum of Understanding between Aerolloy Technologies Limited and Safran Aircraft Engines marks a significant step towards enhancing India's indigenous capabilities in military aircraft engine manufacturing. It aligns with the 'Make in India' initiative, fostering collaboration and innovation in the aerospace sector while addressing the defence needs of the country. The ongoing partnership for commercial LEAP engines lays a strong foundation for this expanded cooperation.' Ahmedabad Plane Crash Aman Shukla is a post-graduate in mass communication . World's largest single-site titanium remelting facility inaugurated in Lucknow

LUCKNOW: Defence minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated India's largest Titanium and Superalloy Materials Plant operated by Aerolloy Technologies Limited , a PTC Industries Limited subsidiary, and laid the foundation stones for additional state-of-the-art facilities under India's first Strategic Materials Technology Complex at the Lucknow node of the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor . The newly inaugurated Titanium Plant spread across 50 acre has an annual capacity of 6,000 tonnes and stands as the world's largest single-site titanium remelting facility . Advanced technologies such as Vacuum Arc Remelting (VAR), Electron Beam (EB), Plasma Arc Melting (PAM), and Vacuum Induction Melting (VIM) enable India to produce aerospace-grade materials domestically. Alongside the titanium plant, foundation stones for seven additional advanced facilities were laid, including the Aerospace Precision Castings Plant, which will enable Single Crystal Castings production crucial for jet engines; the Aerospace Forge Shop & Mill Products Plant, which will eliminate the need for imports of billets, bars, and plates for aerospace applications; and the Aerospace Precision Machining Shop, which will allow the export of ready-to-assemble ultra-precision CNC machined components.
