Two Killed as Small Plane Crashes onto Italian Highway in Brescia

By Ahmad El-Assasy Two people were killed after a small aircraft crashed onto a highway in northern Italy's Brescia province, sparking a fiery explosion upon impact. According to Italy's national broadcaster RAI, the incident occurred on Tuesday and resulted in the complete destruction of the aircraft, leaving no survivors on board. The crash also injured two motorists who were driving through the area at the time of the explosion. Both were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities confirmed. The crash site erupted in flames following the impact, prompting the immediate suspension of traffic in both directions on the highway. Multiple fire engines rushed to the scene, quickly extinguishing the blaze and securing the area. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the accident. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks

Guterres: Hunger Engulfs Gaza as UN Sites Bombed

By Ahmad El-Assasy United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has sounded the alarm over the worsening humanitarian disaster in Gaza, warning that "hunger is knocking on every door" as malnutrition rates surge and Israeli military operations intensify. In remarks delivered during a high-level UN Security Council session on "Promoting International Peace and Security through Multilateralism and Peaceful Dispute Settlement," Guterres described Gaza as a scene of 'unprecedented death and destruction.' He condemned the recent bombings of UN facilities, including offices of the UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS) and the World Health Organization (WHO), noting that even WHO's main warehouse was hit. 'These facilities were targeted despite all parties being informed of their locations,' he said, stressing that under international humanitarian law, such sites must be protected without exception. Guterres painted a dire picture of the humanitarian system on the brink of collapse. 'We are witnessing the last breaths of a principled humanitarian system — one that is being denied the conditions to operate, to provide aid, and to ensure safety while saving lives,' he stated. He added that the latest wave of Israeli military actions and new evacuation orders in Deir al-Balah have only added to the layers of devastation in the Gaza Strip. Addressing the core theme of the Security Council session, Guterres emphasized the vital link between international peace and multilateralism. He recalled that the United Nations was established nearly 80 years ago to spare humanity from the scourge of war, and that its Charter provides key tools for peaceful conflict resolution — including negotiation, mediation, arbitration, judicial settlement, and regional arrangements. Guterres proposed three priority areas to revive global trust in multilateral conflict resolution: Security Council members, especially permanent ones, must work to overcome divisions. The Council should continue to build partnerships with regional and sub-regional organizations. UN Member States must uphold their legal obligations under the UN Charter, international humanitarian law, and human rights law. His remarks come amid escalating concerns over the humanitarian toll of the ongoing conflict in Gaza, which has left the civilian population in desperate need of food, shelter, and medical assistance. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks

Death Toll Rises to 31 After Military Jet Crashes into School in Dhaka

By Ahmad El-Assasy At least 31 people, mostly students, have died after a Bangladeshi Air Force training jet crashed into a school building in the capital Dhaka, officials from the Ministry of Health confirmed on Tuesday. The aircraft, a training fighter jet, reportedly went down shortly after takeoff on Monday afternoon, slamming into a two-story school building located in a densely populated area of the capital. Authorities initially reported 25 fatalities, including the pilot and 24 others—primarily students. However, the death toll has since increased as more bodies were recovered from the debris of the burned structure. In addition to the fatalities, 171 people were injured, many of them students who were inside the building at the time of the crash. Emergency services rescued them from the fire-engulfed school as thick smoke and flames spread rapidly. Rescue and medical teams continue to search the site for potential survivors and assess the full extent of the damage. Officials have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash, which has shocked the nation and raised concerns about safety measures around urban training flight paths. The Bangladeshi government has expressed its condolences to the victims' families and promised support for the injured and the affected school community. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks
