Two Killed as Small Plane Crashes onto Italian Highway in Brescia
Two people were killed after a small aircraft crashed onto a highway in northern Italy's Brescia province, sparking a fiery explosion upon impact.
According to Italy's national broadcaster RAI, the incident occurred on Tuesday and resulted in the complete destruction of the aircraft, leaving no survivors on board.
The crash also injured two motorists who were driving through the area at the time of the explosion. Both were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities confirmed.
The crash site erupted in flames following the impact, prompting the immediate suspension of traffic in both directions on the highway. Multiple fire engines rushed to the scene, quickly extinguishing the blaze and securing the area.
An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the accident.
