Tanjiro and Giyu Face Akaza in Epic New DEMON SLAYER: INFINITY CASTLE Poster — GeekTyrant
The battle fans have been waiting for is nearly here, and Demon Slayer is turning up the heat. With the Japanese release of Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle now in full swing after its July 18 debut, the hype continues to build worldwide as international fans eagerly await their chance to experience the first chapter of this climactic trilogy. To stoke that anticipation even more, a badass new poster was revealed during San Diego Comic-Con giving us our best look yet at the epic team-up between Tanjiro Kamado and Giyu Tomioka as they prepare to take on Upper Rank Three demon, Akaza. If you've been following the journey since the Infinity Train arc, you already know why this moment is huge. Akaza didn't just make a memorable first impression, he carved his place in the series as one of the most formidable and emotionally charged villains after his brutal clash with Kyojuro Rengoku. That battle ended in heartbreak, with Rengoku's death hitting Tanjiro hard. It's personal now. And Tanjiro's long-awaited rematch with Akaza promises to be one of the most emotional and intense fights in the series. But Tanjiro won't be alone this time. Giyu, the stoic Water Hashira who first spared Tanjiro and Nezuko Kamado back when their story began, is finally stepping into the ring alongside him. This is the first time the two will truly fight side-by-side, not as protector and fledgling swordsman, but as equals. Giyu has always been pivotal to Tanjiro's journey. After discovering Nezuko's unique bond with her brother, he made the call to send them to Urokodaki, setting the whole story in motion. While their paths have crossed a few times since, Tanjiro was never quite strong enough to keep pace with him. Back then, Giyu had to carry the weight. But things have changed. Tanjiro's growth since the Infinity Train and through the Hashira Training Arc has been nothing short of phenomenal. His skills, especially with Sun Breathing, have finally caught up to his heart. Giyu, once emotionally burdened, has been pushed forward by Tanjiro's relentless optimism and strength. Now, they're ready to face Akaza.

Demon Slayer Infinity Castle movie trailer reveals the strongest demon yet in the franchise
The wait for Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is almost over, and fans are already buzzing about the big battles coming up. The movie is set to release in Japan this July, with US and Canadian fans getting it in September. And thanks to the latest trailer, we finally know which demon will be the most dangerous this time. Doma, the Upper Rank Two demon, has been confirmed as the strongest villain in the first movie of the trilogy. While there are several major fights teased in the trailer, Doma's showdown against Insect Hashira Shinobu Kocho is the one that truly stands out. The clip shows a glimpse of their deadly battle, and it's already got fans talking. Infinity Castle will feature multiple epic fights This part of the story focuses on the Demon Slayers entering the Infinity Castle, where they come face-to-face with some of Muzan's strongest demons. Going by the trailer, the movie will feature three huge battles: Shinobu vs Doma, Zenitsu vs Kaigaku, and Tanjiro vs Akaza. INFINITY CASTLE IS GONNA BE CRAZY While all three demons are powerful, Doma stands above the rest in this movie. He is only ranked below Kokushibo and Muzan in the demon hierarchy. Compared to Akaza, who is Upper Rank Three, Doma has greater strength, speed, and abilities. That is why his fight will likely be the toughest. Kaigaku, who battles Zenitsu, may not be as powerful as Doma or Akaza, but his fight still adds tension. However, it is the Doma vs Shinobu battle that promises emotional weight. Fans know what is at stake in this clash, and the trailer hints at its importance. For anime-only viewers, this arc will be a rollercoaster. The animation quality, combined with the high-stakes story, means the Infinity Castle movies could be the most intense part of the Demon Slayer series yet. Those who cannot wait can always read the full arc in the Demon Slayer manga, available on Manga Plus. Meanwhile, all the anime seasons can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
