Dozens of Displaced People Killed, Injured in Shati' Camp Bombing
DaysofPal- The Israeli occupation army committed a brutal massacre against displaced Palestinians in the northern part of the Shati Refugee Camp, west of Gaza City, early Tuesday morning. The artillery shelling targeted tents sheltering displaced families, killing 14 Palestinians, including women and children, and injuring dozens more. Sources reported that the shelling occurred during the early hours while the victims were asleep inside the tents, resulting in a high number of casualties amid extremely dire humanitarian and health conditions. The area suffers from severe shortages of food aid, clean water, and medical supplies due to the ongoing siege and critical fuel shortages. Ambulances rushed to the scene to evacuate the dead and wounded to Al-Shifa Hospital, which is operating at near-zero capacity because of a severe lack of medicines and fuel. Medical teams continue to provide urgent care despite the critical shortage of equipment and supplies. The attack is part of a broader military escalation across the Gaza Strip, where multiple areas have been subjected to continuous bombardment targeting civilians and displaced populations. International organizations have previously documented cases of Palestinians being killed while waiting for humanitarian aid, provoking widespread global condemnation and denunciations of what has been described as a policy of 'deliberate starvation' against civilians. Prominent human rights organizations have called for an immediate ceasefire and protection of civilians, describing the targeting of displaced persons' tents as a war crime and a blatant violation of international humanitarian law. This tragedy unfolds amid the complete collapse of civil and medical services in Gaza, with the population's suffering intensifying due to the ongoing blockade. Local and international officials have described the humanitarian situation as being in a state of 'total collapse.' Since the start of Israel's genocidal war on Gaza, Israeli occupation forces have killed 59,029 Palestinians and injured 142,135, with approximately 72% of the casualties being women and children, according to the Ministry of Health. Israeli Strike Massacres Family in Shati Refugee Camp
DaysofPal – The Israeli occupation forces continued their relentless assault on the Gaza Strip today, launching strikes on civilian homes, shelters for displaced families, and key urban areas across the devastated enclave. The renewed bombardment left multiple civilians dead and injured, including children, and fueled growing panic among residents and medical personnel. In one of the deadliest incidents of the day, an Israeli airstrike targeted the home of the Nassar family near Martyrs' Square in the Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza City. According to Palestinian Red Crescent paramedics, five people were killed and others injured in the attack, while several remain trapped under the rubble. Victims were transferred to Al-Shifa Hospital as search efforts continued under increasingly dangerous conditions. In the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, close to Al-Quds Hospital, Israeli warplanes bombed Al-Awda Tower (2) after a previous threat. Patients, medical personnel, and displaced people taking refuge nearby were all terrified by the strike; many had fled previous strikes only to find themselves in danger again. In the Al-Rimal neighborhood, west of Gaza City, a group of tents housing displaced families was the target of another deadly attack. Several civilians, including children, were reportedly killed or injured in the bombing, which targeted a site where dozens of families had taken refuge. In the southern Gaza Strip, the devastation continued. A source at Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis confirmed that 10 people, most of them children, were killed in an Israeli strike that hit a tent encampment for displaced persons in the Al-Mawasi area. On Monday alone, at least 62 Palestinians were killed in Israeli raids across the Strip. The occupation forces reportedly targeted tents sheltering displaced people, gatherings of civilians, a water distribution vehicle, and groups of people waiting in line to receive so-called 'aid' under U.S. and Israeli supervision. One particularly devastating strike killed six members of the same family, a father, mother, and their four children, when their tent near the Palestine Mosque in western Gaza City was directly hit. More than 30 others were injured in the same attack. The source noted that many of the injured were in critical condition, warning of a likely rise in the death toll. Since the Israeli genocide began on October 7, 2023, the number of Palestinians killed has increased to 58,386, the great majority of whom were women and children, and 139,077 have been injured. Gaza: Five killed, others missing as Israel continues the genocide
Ammon News - The Israeli occupation forces continued the bloody aggression on the Gaza Strip today, targeting civilian homes and areas sheltering internally displaced persons, resulting in killing some and injuring others, including children. Palestinian Red Crescent paramedics reported that five citizens were killed, others were injured, and several others were missing under the rubble of a home belonging to the Nassar family near Martyrs' Square in the Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza City, after it was targeted by Israeli aircraft. The slain and wounded people were taken to Al-Shifa Hospital, west of the city. In another field development, Israeli warplanes bombed Al-Awda Tower (2), located near Al-Quds Hospital in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, southwest of the city, following a prior threat. This led to panic among patients, medical staff, and displaced persons in the surrounding area. A number of citizens were also killed and others were injured, including children, in an attack targeting tents for displaced persons in the Al-Rimal neighborhood, west of Gaza City, where dozens of families had taken refuge to escape the ongoing airstrikes.
