Kelly Ripa reveals Mark Consuelos' ‘repulsive' morning habit

Kelly Ripa has hope and faith that Mark Consuelos won't ask for this in the morning. The talk show host, 54, revealed that she finds the 54-year-old 'Riverdale' actor's preference for morning sex 'disgusting.' 'Men are morning people. He hasn't learned, he'll never learn,' Ripa said on Wednesday's episode of the 'Not Skinny But Not Fat' podcast. 'He wants to kiss. And I have a retainer in. And he's got his nasal strips on. It's like we are the most repulsive, disgusting. I'm already pre-disgusted for tomorrow morning.' 11 Kelly Ripa on the 'Not Skinny But Not Fat' podcast. YouTube/@notskinnybutnotfat Since the couple, who tied the knot in 1996, started working together on 'Live with Kelly and Mark,' Ripa has pushed for 'night only' intimacy. It's like a miracle has occurred,' the actress quipped. 11 Kelly Ripa opens up about sex on the 'Not Skinny But Not Fat' podcast. 'The more you do it, the more you do it,' she explained. 'And so, you just have to do it and then you're like, 'Oh, I remember why I like this.'' Ripa also told host Amanda Hirsch her biggest issue when it comes to working with her husband of 30 years. 11 Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos take a selfie in bed. kellyripa/Instagram 'He doesn't listen to me frequently, and he will tune me out while we are live on the air,' the 'All My Children' alum stated. 'Literally I watch him,' she detailed. 'I watch him drift away. And I'm like, 'Hey don't do that.'' Consuelos officially joined Ripa behind the desk in 2023, after Ryan Seacrest's departure. But ultimately, his time on the show has been well-received. 11 A throwback picture of Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos. 'And when he thinks something is dumb,' she noted, 'he says it no matter how much we're supposed to pretend to like whatever the thing is.' Kelly Ripa reveals what annoys her most about husband Mark Consuelos after making shock bedroom confession

Kelly Ripa has boldly laid bare what annoys her about husband Mark Consuelos – after outing him for being into morning sex. The Live with Kelly and Mark presenter, 54, got candid about her near–three–decade marriage during a recent appearance on the Not Skinny but Not Fat podcast. Besides being his wife, Kelly has also co–hosted their popular daytime show with her other half for the past two years and she pointed out what he does that irks her while the cameras are rolling. 'He doesn't listen to me frequently, and he will tune me out while we're live on the air,' she confessed. 'When you are being paid, highly paid by the way, to literally listen to me, then you have to listen,' she continued. 'I watch him drift away and I'm like, "Hey, hey, don't do that!"' Kelly's brutal honesty comes as she also admitted she is repulsed by his timing in the bedroom. 'I find it disgusting,' she said, explaining that Mark, also 54, prefers to have sex 'only in the morning.' But that's not all — she said he's also eager to kiss her first thing in the morning, which she finds anything but sexy. 'I have a retainer in. I gotta rip that out,' she said. 'And he's got his nasal strips on. It's like we are the most repulsive, disgusting [people].' She didn't stop there, adding with a laugh: 'I'm already pre–disgusted for tomorrow morning.' The longtime couple met on the set of All My Children back in 1995 and tied the knot the following year. They've since welcomed three children together: Michael, 28, Lola, 24, and Joaquin, 22. 'He'll never learn. He's a guy,' Kelly continued to joke on the podcast, before revealing she's had to lay down some ground rules with her husband of 29 years about when intimacy is — and isn't — on the table. 'I said to him, "Here's the thing,"' she recalled. 'There needs to be a yin and a yang here. It can't always be your way. 'Cause it feels like 90 percent of the time it's your way. 'And now that we work together every day, it's gonna have to sometimes be my way, and my way's at night only.' While Mark may prefer morning romance, Kelly made it clear that's not happening on a daily basis — especially now that they cohost Live with Kelly and Mark together. 'The greatest thing about this job, this thing has almost repulsed him from morning time during the work week,' she said. 'Which is like a miracle.' Then, with her signature bite, she added: 'May this show last until he suffers from erectile dysfunction.' Not done roasting her man, Kelly questioned why that hasn't already kicked in: 'Shouldn't that be happening now? I was promised!' she laughed.

Oprah on Whether Kelly Ripa Should Step Away From Her Talk Show: "Do Not Do It"

Oprah on Whether Kelly Ripa Should Step Away From Her Talk Show: "Do Not Do It" originally appeared on Daytime Confidential. Between All My Children and Live With Kelly and Mark, has spent close to 40 years on ABC Daytime, and at some point it is logical to ask when it's best to step away. That's the question Ripa asked daytime talk icon Oprah Winfrey on her podcast Let's Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa. She asked, I've been at the talk show now for 25 years, so I'm asking for a friend. How did you know it was time to step away? Oprah, who hosted her own talk show for 25 years, replied: First of all, it's not time for you to step away. And I, if I were advising you, I would say absolutely not. She continued: Do not do it. Don't even consider it, because I feel that the reach that you have, the audience that you've built, the family that you've created — both inside the studio and in the rest of the world — is really more vital and important now than ever before. Ripa, who joined All My Children in 1990 at the age of 20, met her husband Mark Consuelos on the Pine Valley set. In 2000 she joined Live! With Regis and Kelly and co-hosted the long-running talk show with a string of co-hosts before Consuelos was named to the spot in 2023. Kelly Ripa Opens Up About Mark Consuelos's "Repulsive" Sex Habit

The Gist Kelly Ripa called out a "repulsive" sex habit that her husband Mark Consuelos is a fan of while making a July 15 appearance on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast. While opening up about how the couple keep things steamy after 30 years of marriage, Ripa opened up about how the couple's work schedule has worked in her favor. Ripa and Consuelos share sons Michael and Joaquin and daughter Lola Ripa and Mark Consuelos aren't shy when it comes to discussing their sex life on live TV, but according to Ripa, there's one thing she'd take out of the bedroom forever. While making a July 15 appearance on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, the Live With Kelly and Mark co-host opened up about a 'repulsive' sex habit that Consuelos is a fan of—and how she's managed to minimize it since they started working together. While discussing how she and Consuelos keep things steamy after 30 years of marriage, the All My Children star spilled the beans on a sexual preference that she can't stand: Morning sex. 'I find it disgusting,' she admitted to host Amanda Hirsch, revealing that her husband would rather do the deed in the morning than at night. 'He's a guy. He's never going to learn.' When describing what exactly she found so unappealing about morning sex, Ripa—who shares son Michael, daughter Lola, and son Joaquin with the Riverdale actor—set the scene. She explained, 'He wants to kiss. I have a retainer in. I've got to rip that out. And he's got his nasal strips on. It's like we are the most repulsive, disgusting [people]. I'm already pre-disgusted for tomorrow morning.' While Ripa joked, 'that dick is a brain of its own, and it doesn't see the retainer,' she revealed that her efforts to transition their sex life to the nighttime had gotten an unexpected boost from the early call time of their ABC morning show. 'I said to him, 'Here's the thing. There needs to be a yin and a yang here. It can't always be your way,'' she recalled about a conversation she had with Consuelos once she became his co-host. ''It feels like 90 percent of the time it's your way, and now that we work together every day, it's gonna have to sometimes be my way. And my way's at night only.'' While Ripa might have had to call the shots early on, she joked that Consuelos had nearly come around to her way of thinking. 'The greatest thing about this job, this thing has almost repulsed him from morning time during the work week—which is like a miracle,' she said, quipping, 'May this show last until he suffers from erectile dysfunction. He's in his mid-50s now. Shouldn't that be happening now? I was promised.' It's not the first time the longtime couple have opened up about their bedroom habits, as Ripa previously opened up about how "keep hot for each other" while they're apart. The star revealed that the couple took part in "ludicrous" sex rituals to stay connected from afar, joking during a March 2023 episode of her Let's Talk Off Camera podcast, "I became so alarmed at my appearance over FaceTime that I started hanging the computer on a ladder, so that I could look up to Mark [and] he did not have to see what gravity was actually doing."
