Dave Parker Family Parker was married to Kellye Crockett Parker for over 35 years until his passing on June 28, 2025. The couple resided in Loveland, Ohio, near Cincinnati, and had three children together. Parker also had three children from a previous relationship, likely with Stella Miller Parker. The two were married from approximately 1974 to 1980. According to a 2023 article by The Cincinnati Herald, three of his children are named Dave Parker II, Danielle Parker, and Dorian Parker. Guardians activate postseason hero from injured list

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WKBN) – The Cleveland Guardians activated utility man David Fry from the 60-day injured list on Saturday afternoon. In a corresponding roster move, the Guardians have placed outfielder Lane Thomas on the ten-day injured list. To make room on the 40-man roster, pitcher Cody Bolton was designated for assignment. Fry has missed the entire season to this point after undergoing offseason elbow surgery. He has split the 2025 season at three different levels in the Guardians minor league system in the Arizona Complex League, Double-A Akron and Triple-A Columbus. During his rehab assignment, Fry has posted a combined average of .103, with one home run and five RBI with the Columbus Clippers. Last season, Fry posted a batting average of .263, with 14 home runs and 51 RBI. That includes the game-winning two-run home run in Game 3 of the American League Championship series against the New York Yankees. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. Yankees quietly gave Juan Soto his AL Championship ring Friday in a hallway

Maybe it was smart. A ceremony might have embarrassed everyone with how Yankees fans felt about Juan Soto Friday night. Still after two days of chatter on New York City sports talk radio about whether the Yankees would honor Soto with a tribute video, the idea that they gave the American League championship rings to Soto, Clay Holmes and an assistant pitching coach in the hallway between clubhouses, out of sight of fans, was interesting. According to The Athletic's Tyler Kepner, Aaron Boone made his way through the ballpark's bowels while the Mets took batting practice and the buzz built inside Yankee Stadium. In the tunnel between the clubhouses, with pallets of water and hot dog buns stored against the walls, Boone carried the rings in a Yankees shopping bag. New York Mets outfielder Juan SotoReinhold Matay-Imagn Images Boone first stopped to greet Mets pitcher Clay Holmes and coach Desi Druschel, both former Yankees, handing over their 2024 American League Championship rings. Then Juan Soto emerged alone. Advertisement Boone handed him the box. Soto opened it and admired the ring. Soto, after all, was a big part of getting that ring for the Yankees. But now he was a Met and most of the 47,000 fans at Yankee Stadium Friday were waiting to boo and jeer Soto. He bolted the Bronx after one glorious season to play for the hated crosstown rivals. Or to play for the $765 million, which was somehow worse for the fans. There was no video tribute Friday night, something the Yankees had decided back in spring training. There was just plenty of vitriol for Soto. It could have been an awkward moment on the field if the Yankees had honored Soto with a ring in front of fans. They settled for a quiet, understated exchange between a manager and the superstar. Globe Life exhibition features 2010 Texas Rangers

Elvis Andrus and his teammates on the 2010 Texas Rangers will be recognized in a new exhibition at Globe Life Field. Why it matters: Andrus, who retired from baseball last year, will be inducted into the Texas Rangers Hall of Fame this summer. It is also the 15th anniversary (gasp!) of the Rangers' first trip to the World Series. Flashback: It felt like a World Series win when the Rangers beat the New York Yankees in 2010 to win their first American League Championship. The Rangers went on to lose four games to one against the San Francisco Giants in the World Series. Yes, but: Many of the same players — plus Adrian Beltré — went back to the World Series in 2011. We still don't like talking about what happened. The intrigue: The exhibition will feature items from the 2023 World Series that were on display last season. That display includes the Rangers' lineup card from Game 5, Adolis García's bat and Corey Seager's Game 1 jersey.
