Celebrities at Glastonbury 2025: All the famous faces spotted at the festival, from Andrew Garfield to Margot Robbie
The 2025 Glastonbury Festival is well underway, with hundreds of thousands of people gathering on Worthy Farm in Somerset to see performances from the likes of The 1975, Neil Young, Olivia Rodrigo, Charli XCX, Rod Stewart and Alanis Morissette. In addition to the hundreds of announced artists, the weekend has also held a number of surprises, with Friday alone seeing surprise performances from Lorde and Lewis Capaldi, the latter making an emotional return two years after a performance at the festival saw him struggle to manage his Tourette's symptoms. However, a number of other celebrities have been spotted on the festival site as they attend as music fans or as participants in the festival's various debates and Q& talks at the Pilton Palais cinema include appearances from Paul Mescal, Andrew Garfield, Taron Egerton, Tilda Swinton, Ncuti Gatwa and Edgar Wright. Garfield reportedly left the crowd flustered by reading out sexual tweets shared about him. Hilariously, he came face-to-face with a writer of one such tweet that left the Spider-Man actor in hysterics when he first read it. The actor, who is a regular Glastonbury attendee, appeared after a screening of his film We Live in Time. Barbie star Margot Robbie also made a Q & A appearance at the Pilton Palais cinema talking about the 2024 coming-of-age comedy My Old Ass, which she worked on as a producer. i'm deaddd — m (@ANDREWG4RFlELD) June 26, 2025 Numerous celebrities also took part in the Letters Live performance on the Greenpeace stage on Friday, which is a staged reading show celebrating literary correspondence. Famous faces taking part included Simon Pegg, Benedict Cumberbatch, Paapa Essiedu, Bella Ramsey, Andrew Scott, Sophie Hunter, Ambika Mod, Caitlin Moran and James Norton. His old bandmate Harry Styles, has also been seen on site. The Independent's reporters on the ground have also spotted Emma Corrin, Aimee Lou Wood, Harris Dickinson, Rose Gray, Taron Egerton, Eddie Redmayne, Lily Allen and Dominic West enjoying the festivities. Other names that have been snapped at Glastonbury inclue Saffron Hocking, Idris Elba, Holly Willoughby, Mahalia, Dominic Cooper, Gemma Chan, Pixie Geldof, Monica Barbaro, Lily James, Billie Piper, Joseph Quinn, Daisy Lowe and Mia Regan. Elsewhere, former Doctor Who actor Peter Capaldi also made it on stage when he made a surprise cameo during Franz Ferdinand's performance on the Other Stage, joining the Scottish indie band for their hit song 'Take Me Out'. Music royalty have also been spotted out and about, with Paul McCartney spotted watching Inhaler, Dhani Harrison and Gracie Abrams. Noel Gallagher has also reportedly been seen ahead of Oasis's huge reunion tour, which is due to kick off next week.

Ricky Wilson 'didn't appreciate the magnitude of Glastonbury'
Ricky Wilson "didn't appreciate the magnitude" of playing Glastonbury before Kaiser Chiefs' first appearance. The Everyday I Love You Less and Less hitmakers performed at Worthy Farm in Somerset for the first time in 2005 following the success of their debut album Employment, and the 47-year-old star has recalled how he hadn't realised how big the group had got in the UK until they took to the Pyramid Stage in front of a huge crowd. He told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: 'I didn't really appreciate the magnitude of playing there. We were playing so many shows, I was just taking it in my stride. We'd just released Employment and we'd be playing to 200 people in Italy, then 1,000 people in America. 'Then we got back to the UK and we didn't realise how big it had got here until we arrived at Glastonbury and the crowd was mental. Everyone knew the words to our songs. It blew us away.' Kaiser Chiefs will open the Pyramid Stage on Saturday (28.06.25) but Ricky revealed they will be changing up their set from what they have been playing on their current tour. He said: 'We've been on tour with Employment to celebrate the 20th anniversary and at those shows we've been playing it in full. 'We thought about just doing that but we've got too many other songs that would be missed. 'Many people know the songs but we've also got weapons in our arsenal that may be bigger.' The former Voice coach last attended the festival in 2023, where he had a bizarre encounter with actor Andrew Garfield. He recalled: 'I stood in the crowd watching Elton John and then I noticed Andrew Garfield was next to me. 'When Your Song started, our hands happened to brush past each other. I said to Andrew, 'Shall we?'. He nodded and we just held hands. He won't deny it if you ask him." And he had another odd moment during the festival that year. He said: 'I dressed up as Elvis Presley — the full jumpsuit, everything. I was supposed to be doing some songs in Block9 but I got there and didn't bother. 'I was with Leigh Francis and we ended up going to Glastonbury-on-Sea instead and we did the bingo calling twice.'

Kaiser Chiefs star Ricky Wilson reveals bizarre moment he held hands with Hollywood A-lister during Elton John's Glastonbury set
Glastonbury Festival always brings out the weird and wonderful in people - and Ricky Wilson is no exception. The Kaiser Chiefs frontman, 47, has revealed that during his last visit to Worthy Farm in 2023, he ended up holding hands with Hollywood star Andrew Garfield, 41, in a touching festival moment. Speaking exclusively to The Sun ahead of opening the iconic Pyramid Stage on Saturday afternoon, Ricky recalled: 'I stood in the crowd watching Elton John and then I noticed Andrew Garfield was next to me. He continued: 'When Your Song started, our hands happened to brush past each other. I said to Andrew, "Shall we?". He nodded and we just held hands. He won't deny it if you ask him.' However, holding hands with Andrew wasn't the only surreal experience Ricky had at Glasto. He recalled: 'I dressed up as Elvis Presley — the full jumpsuit, everything. I was supposed to be doing some songs in Block9 but I got there and didn't bother.' Instead, he and pal Leigh Francis (aka Keith Lemon) ended up at Glastonbury-on-Sea, where they wound up calling bingo twice. This year, Ricky is back, and he's bringing his wife Grace along for the ride. The couple have checked into a plush hotel near the site before his big performance. And Ricky's already drawn up their hit list of must-see acts - including Pulp, who are rumoured to be playing a secret set on Saturday under the pseudonym Patchwork. Ricky's return to the Pyramid Stage comes 20 years after the Kaiser Chiefs first performed there, fresh off the success of their breakthrough album Employment. He admitted he didn't quite grasp the significance of that 2005 appearance at the time. Caught up in a whirlwind of gigs across Italy and America, Ricky said he only realised how massive the moment was when they stepped on stage at Glastonbury and were met with a raucous crowd back home. When it comes to this year's set, Ricky revealed the band had toyed with the idea of performing Employment in full to celebrate its 20th anniversary - but ultimately decided to shake things up. With so many fan favourites in their back catalogue, they didn't want to leave any out, and hinted they've got even bigger tracks lined up for the crowd. Meanwhile, thousands of revellers have already descended on Worthy Farm as Glastonbury Festival 2025 kicks off in full swing. With a star-studded lineup set to light up the legendary fields, this year's event is already shaping up to be one of the most iconic yet. Headlining the Pyramid Stage are The 1975 on Friday evening, marking their debut in the coveted top slot, followed by rock legend Neil Young & the Chrome Hearts on Saturday. Pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo will bring the festival to a dazzling close on Sunday night, while music icon Rod Stewart is set to make his long-awaited Glastonbury debut in the much-loved Sunday Legends slot. Other major acts lighting up the weekend include Charli XCX and The Prodigy, headlining the Other Stage on Saturday and Sunday respectively.

Tobey Maguire's 'Spider-Man' Trilogy Returns to Theaters With Rare Extended Cut
Tobey Maguire's 'Spider-Man' Trilogy Returns to Theaters With Rare Extended Cut originally appeared on Parade. If Tobey Maguire's surprise appearance in the MCU's Spider-Man: No Way Home is any indication, it's that fans haven't yet let go of their love for the famed iteration of New York City's resident wallcrawler. Starring in a grand total of three well-received superhero films from 2002 to 2007, Maguire handed in one of the earliest popular portrayals of Marvel's Spider-Man, setting a remarkably high bar for later actors like Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland. With the anniversary of the trilogy's conclusion looming on the horizon, fans can now rejoice at the possibility of seeing Maguire's Spider-Man series in theaters -- I.E., the optimal setting for experiencing Maguire's webslinger soaring through the streets of Manhattan. Beginning later this fall, all three films of director Sam Raimi's Spider-Man series will see a limited re-release to theaters nationwide. The exciting event begins with the screening of Spider-Man on September 26, followed by an extended cut of Spider-Man 2 on September 27 and Spider-Man 3 on September 28. Following these initial screening dates, the Spider-Man trilogy will promptly return for an encore presentation the following weekend, playing through from October 3 to October 5. If that weren't exciting enough, as mentioned above, this new retrospective of the Spider-Man trilogy will come with an extended cut of 2004's fan-favorite Spider-Man 2. Often hailed as the strongest entry in the trilogy (as well as one of the greatest superhero movies ever made), this new version of the film has been dubbed Spider-Man 2.1, with several scenes added back into the film that were originally left on the cutting room floor. "The success of Spider-Man in 2002 helped launch the modern era of superhero films," said Ray Nutt, chief executive officer of Fathom Entertainment, who will oversee screenings of the trilogy. "To this day, Tobey Maguire's take on Spider-Man resonates across generations. At Fathom Entertainment, we celebrate fandom and I am delighted that Spider-Man 2.1 in 4K will make its theatrical debut, a true gift for longtime fans and a thrilling discovery for new ones.' Tickets for the films go on sale on July 25. Tobey Maguire's 'Spider-Man' Trilogy Returns to Theaters With Rare Extended Cut first appeared on Parade on Jun 26, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade on Jun 26, 2025, where it first appeared.

Andrew Garfield confesses to pooing himself after taking drugs at Glastonbury
To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Up Next Previous Page Next Page Should you need a reminder of why you really shouldn't do drugs, Andrew Garfield has a story to share. The actor has revealed that the side effects of drug-taking in the early 2000s were pretty grim as he immersed himself in festival culture at Glastonbury. Andrew, 41, is no stranger to Glasto but typically opts to keep a low profile around Worthy Farm. And he'll be thanking his lucky stars that no one captured him in the early Noughties when he 's**t himself' amid a drug-fuelled festival experience. Speaking today at a Glastonbury Q&A, the Spider-Man star confessed sarcastically: 'I genuinely didn't think I was gonna make it to the beautiful porta-potty that was 400metres away.' As the crowd laughed, he declared that he had no regrets. Really, really weird.' This isn't the first time Andrew has spoken about drug use. In 2012, he revealed that he ate pot brownies before going to Disneyland for his birthday with ex girlfriend Emma Stone. 'I really recommend it!', he quipped at the time. The British star then explained in 2017: ''Drugs,' the word, has such a stigma. 'I can only really take substances if it's a ritual. I mean, weed, I can smoke because it's just nice. But with hallucinogens, I have to do it in a very conscious way in a place where I feel free and safe and can have a freak-out if I want to. I want to be able to express my insights.' Pictured here in 2023, Andrew is no stranger to Glasto (Picture: Alamy Live News) Or any festival, at that… seen here in 2008 (Picture: Akem/REX/Shutterstock) He also compared being high to a feeling he gets from acting: 'That's what makes it so beguiling and so addictive. You get to be bigger than what you are. You get to hold more than you do. You get this divine dissatisfaction.' Elsewhere in the Glasto Q&A, Andrew got political as he reflected on the 'human suffering' we are currently witnessing around the world. 'We are being ruled by soulless oligarchs who do not give a f**k about us,' he declared, evoking cheers from the audience. 'I know that's a little glib and that's a little, kind of, general … but I feel that myself and my artist friends are asking that question right now: what is the role of creative people right now? Is it to bury our heads in the sand and just make things that are pleasurable and entertaining? To be honest, I feel very drawn to watching escapism stuff right now because the world is so horrific.' 'But I think we're all having that same conversation of, how are we supposed to respond to a world that is not only forever changing but changing for more darkness, more division, more pitting us against each other, so that is the question: how do we spend this precious time?', Andrew asked. He proceeded to reflect on the 'ripples' that art has on the world, stating that he and fellow Glasto attendees will leave as the 'best version' of themselves. He previously admitted to eating pot brownies with ex-girlfriend Emma Stone (Picture: David Fisher/REX/Shutterstock) 'I really recommend it!', he quipped at the time (Picture: WireImage) 'We're gonna go home more patient, more generous, more loving; we're gonna be tired… but we're gonna have access to the better parts of ourselves, coming back into our communities, into our homes, to our families, so I think it's our duty as awake, conscious, caring, offended people, who are having our souls being offended by the times we're in, to make sure we're trying to tilt the land to make the world ever so slightly better, even if it feels hopeless… that is the question, but I don't know how we do that.' This year at Glastonbury, The 1975, Olivia Rodrigo, and Neil Young will headline. However, the BBC has announced that the latter's set will not be broadcast live. The 79-year-old has requested as such, with the Beeb stating earlier today: 'At the artist's request, we won't be live streaming Neil Young's set. Our plans, including those for our TV highlights shows and on-demand coverage, continue to be finalised right up to and during the festival.' Meanwhile, Sir Rod Stewart will play in the coveted Legends Slot. Sir Michael Eavis, 89, and his daughter, organiser Emily Eavis, opened the gates to the festival on Wednesday morning as thousands of festivalgoers flocked inside. While the annual five-day arts and music extravaganza is set to bring plenty of expected stellar performances, rumours continue to swirl around surprise cameos. So far, Lewis Capaldi has seemingly been confirmed for a secret set on the Pyramid Stage on Friday night, while Haim and Pulp are also thought to be showing up. Got a story?
