Antonio Brown was court-ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation and complete an anger management program due to his violent behavior in 2020
Antonio Brown got involved in legal issues in 2020.(Image via Mike Ehrmann/Getty) Antonio Brown, one of the most popular and talented players in the history of the NFL, has found himself in a huge scandal after he was accused of shooting a man in Miami last month. While the case brings new twists every day, with Antonio Brown even fleeing to the United Arab Emirates, this is not the first time that the NFL legend has been accused of violence. Antonio Brown was ordered to go through anger management and a psychiatric evaluation for getting violently involved with a company in 2020 In 2020, Antonio Brown pleaded no contest to battery and burglary charges when he got involved in a huge altercation and violence with a moving company. In January 2020, days after the moving company filed a complaint against him, Antonio Brown turned himself in at a jail in Florida after a warrant was issued against him. At that point, the NFL legend was released from jail on $110,000 bond. After Antonio Brown had pleaded no contest to the allegations, the Broward County Court accepted his plea and ordered him to undergo an anger management program for 13 weeks and a psychiatric evaluation, along with 100 hours of community service and two years of probation. As per the NFL, Antonio Brown's attorney, Carson Hancock had issued a statement where he said, "Rather than engage in a protracted legal case, Mr. Brown decided to resolve this matter in an expeditious manner in consideration of his family and his football career." This had also led to the NFL conducting an investigation into this and resulted in suspending Antonio Brown for eight games after it was found that he violated several of NFL's personal conduct policies. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Farmer Finds Diamond Ring. Where is Antonio Brown, ex-NFL star wanted in Miami shooting? Cops aren't sure
More than two weeks after a judge said there was probable cause to charge Antonio Brown with attempted murder in a Miami shooting, the troubled former NFL star remains at large — but also not formally designated a fugitive, in part because of the complexities of the legal system. Miami Police haven't sent detectives to apprehend him. The Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office hasn't officially charged him. And the Miami-Dade Clerk of the Court hasn't set an arraignment date. The former All Pro wide receiver doesn't appear to have a local attorney anymore and hasn't contacted anyone in the law enforcement community since an arrest warrant was issued June 11. And other than occasional photos posted to social media sites showing Brown gallivanting in what appears to be Dubai, no one is certain as to his whereabouts — or has shared that information publicly. Early last week Miami Police said they had been in contact with Brown's attorney and that he wasn't considered a fugitive. Now, with Brown's legal representation apparently in flux, it's not clear who, if anyone, is arguing the case for him. Miami Police also have since refused public comment. Judging from Brown's prodigious social media posts, it doesn't appear the 36-year-old is headed stateside anytime soon. The most recent messages, though cryptic, don't hint at plans to come home. 'I'm out the country. Ain't no more child support. Tell your mama get a job,' was posted on his X timeline on June 21. Brown's X account has several additional posts since the one, including one with him jumping on a trampoline with Arabic letters in the background on June 23 in what appears to be some sort of giant playroom. Another post from Wednesday shows the interior of an airplane and says Irish influencer Harry Sisson was spotted on a flight. It's unclear to where. Despite the posts, a Miami Police spokesman said Friday they have no indication Brown has returned to the U.S. When he returns, if he does, Brown is likely to be apprehended by a customs agent with the arrest warrant pending. Foreign extradition options? If Brown has been in Dubai, there's nothing stopping the country from sending him back or blocking federal agents from crossing the Atlantic to try and retrieve him. Dubai is in the United Arab Emirates, which has had an extradition treaty with the U.S. for almost three decades. But there's no evidence that law enforcement at this point has moved to extradite Brown, which can be a lengthy and complicated process. Brown has remained free in the six weeks since he's been accused of firing a gun at a jeweler who had once sued him outside a celebrity boxing event in Miami's Little Haiti on May 16. He is almost certainly aware by now that when he lands on U.S. soil he's likely to be taken into custody on the attempted murder charge, which has been widely publicized. His seven-page arrest warrant — a formal document signed by a judge that determined probable cause for an arrest — shows his former attorney worked out a deal with state prosecutors allowing Brown to remain out of jail but under house arrest after posting a $10,000 bond. His former attorney refused comment. Brown's latest troubles spring from a celebrity boxing event hosted by influencer Adin Ross. A fight, which police say involved Brown broke out in the club's parking lot. Some people heard gunfire and alerted police. At one point Brown was stopped and patted down, but no gun was found and he was let go. After the incident, Brown posted that he had been attacked before the shooting. 'Contrary to some video circulating, Police temporarily detained me until they received my side of the story and then released me. I WENT HOME THAT NIGHT AND WAS NOT ARRESTED,' Brown said in the post. 'I will be talking to my legal council and attorneys on pressing charges on the individuals that jumped me.' By the time police interviewed more witnesses and viewed surveillance video that captured at least part of the fight and supposedly showed Brown firing a weapon at the person he'd been fighting with, he already had left the country, apparently headed to the Middle East. A glorious NFL career, crashes and burns The timeline of Brown's personal and legal troubles, both on and off the football field, is long. Even before he became a pro, the Norland Senior High School graduate had his scholarship revoked from Florida International University in 2007 after he got into a tussle with campus security. Read More: Antonio Brown is no stranger to police, discipline in his career As he was breaking NFL records with the Pittsburgh Steelers for a decade after signing in 2010, he became a malcontent. He once reportedly chucked a football at his Hall of Fame quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, was suspended for the upcoming playoff game and showed up on the sideline in fur coat. After forcing his way out of Pittsburgh, Brown had a brief ugly fling with the Oakland Raiders. He arrived late to training camp and refused to play before the team finally let him go. His day with the New England Patriots didn't fare much better. After one game the Patriots released him when a former trainer filed a lawsuit claiming rape and sexual assault. Then came two seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which ended with Brown upset about playing time and ripping off his uniform, waiving to the crowd and skipping shirtless across the turf in New Jersey's Meadowlands in a game against the New York Jets as he exited the stadium. There were also run-ins with the law. In 2020 Brown was accused of destroying a security camera and throwing his bicycle at a security shack in his gated community in Hollywood, Florida. Though police determined there was probable cause for his arrest, the homeowner's association declined to move forward with the charges. A year later he was arrested and pleaded no contest to assaulting a moving truck driver outside the Hollywood home. A South Florida civil court jury awarded him $1.2 million. Arrest warrants were issued for Brown for domestic violence and failing to pay child support. And last year he filed for bankruptcy. In the past Brown has attributed his erratic behavior to CTE, or chronic traumatic encephalopathy, a pattern of hits to the head that can cause deadly brain injuries and has inflicted dozens across the NFL.

Super Bowl performer arrested after disrupting halftime show with ‘Free Gaza' flag
A New Orleans man who allegedly did an unauthorized demonstration during Kendrick Lamar's halftime show at this year's Super Bowl has been arrested in the Big Easy, weeks after he was allegedly shot by former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown. Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu, 41, a hired halftime performer, turned himself in to Louisiana State Police on Thursday after a warrant was issued for his arrest, according to a police news release. An investigation into the Super Bowl incident found that while Nantambu was permitted to be on the field during the performance, he 'deviated from his assigned role, retrieved a Sudanese flag bearing the message 'Sudan and Free Gaza,' and disrupted the halftime show by running across the field with the flag.' Security and law enforcement personnel ran after Nantambu, and he refused to comply with their commands to stop, police said. He now faces charges of resisting an officer and disturbing the peace by interruption of a lawful assembly. In addition to the ongoing criminal case, Nantambu has also been banned from attending any NFL games or events, the league confirmed on Thursday. 'We commend the Louisiana State Police for its diligence and professionalism in this matter,' the NFL said in a statement. 'We take any attempt to disrupt any part of an NFL game, including the halftime show, very seriously and are pleased this individual will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.' In a separate case, Nantambu is listed as the victim of a May 17 shooting outside a celebrity boxing event in Miami. According to Miami's CBS affiliate, a bullet grazed Nantambu's neck when Antonio Brown, who was attending the event, allegedly grabbed a handgun from a security worker and fired two shots at Nantambu. The 36-year-old star athlete, best known for his decade-plus run with the Pittsburgh Steelers, is facing an attempted murder charge.

Super Bowl LIX performer arrested for halftime show protest listed as alleged Antonio Brown shooting victim
The person who waved a Palestinian flag during Kendrick Lamar's halftime show performance at the Super Bowl has been identified as the man Antonio Brown allegedly shot last month. Brown reportedly has a warrant out for his arrest for attempted murder, and Zul-Qarnain Kwame Nantambu told investigators a bullet grazed his neck, according to The Associated Press. The AP mentioned that Nantambu was the person selected to be a backup dancer for Lamar during the rapper's performance but instead took the opportunity to show his support for Sudan and Palestine. Nantambu was arrested Thursday on charges of resisting an officer and disturbing the peace by interruption of a lawful assembly, revealing a link between the incidents. "In coordination with the National Football League, troopers learned that Nantambu had permission to be on the field during the performance but did not have permission to demonstrate as he did," Louisiana State Police said. The alleged incident between Brown and Nantambu happened outside a boxing event in Miami's Little Haiti neighborhood. The warrant reportedly listed the incident as occurring May 16. Fox News Digital previously reported that Brown appeared to be involved in several videos on social media in an incident at a Miami boxing event that night. One video showed Brown appearing to fight in a parking lot as a crowd moved toward an alley. Then, a gunshot appeared to ring out, sending spectators running in the opposite direction. Brown was spotted in handcuffs being led to the back of a police cruiser. When Nantambu's link to the incidents surfaced online, Brown responded. "That guy is a fraud, liar, stalker & criminal. He was arrested in 2022 for stealing 6 figures of jewelry from me. He then showed up at my show at rolling loud in 2023 trying to assault me," Brown wrote on X. "Then in May he snuck into a gate at the event and came right up to me trying to steal from me and threaten my life, Media hasn't told this story yet… instead painting a false picture of me. That night I was fighting for my life with his intentions." Brown's warrant in Miami-Dade County lists a charge of attempted murder with a gun and calls for Brown to post a $10,000 bond and remain under house arrest pending trial, The Washington Post reported earlier this month. A Miami Police Department spokesman previously told Fox News Digital the department received an alert of shots fired at around 3 a.m. May 17. Police initiated an investigation, no arrests were made and no one was injured, the spokesman said at the time. The protest took place with President Donald Trump in attendance at the game, marking the first time a sitting president has attended a Super Bowl. Trump previously floated the idea of the U.S. "taking over" the Gaza Strip. "I do see a long-term ownership position, and I see it bringing great stability to that part of the Middle East and maybe the entire Middle East," Trump said, adding it's a decision he didn't make lightly. During Lamar's performance of his new hit "tv off," Nantambu held the flag on top of a prop car and then ran onto the field with the flag. Nantambu wandered back and forth on the field before security guards arrived and dragged him off of the field.
