Get ready, Innies: The iconic 'Severance' keyboard is real, and it'll cost you more than a PS5 Pro

If you're a fan of Apple TV Plus' hit show "Severance," you may have seen the MDR Dasher Keyboard that's an exact replica the Innies of Lumon Industries use. Well, it's real, and it now has a very expensive price tag. The "Severance" keyboard from indie studio Atomic Keyboard is available to pre-order as part of a Kickstarter campaign, and it retails for a whopping $899. However, early adopters can sign up now to grab it for $599. That's one steep price tag, one that far outdoes many of the best keyboards. In fact, even a $699 PS5 Pro is cheaper at its full retail price, but I wouldn't expect anything less from a keyboard that has ties with Lumon Industries. The MDR Dasher Keyboard is set to start shipping from November, arriving with a built-in trackball, swappable layouts (like between an Outie and an Innie from the show) and a CNC-machined aluminum case with an all-metal design. For fans of "Severance" who want a taste of the work culture of Mark S., Helly R., Dylan G. and Irving B, the MDR Dasher Keyboard should provide if you've got a lot of spare change. At least those interested can knock off $300 if they pre-order now. The MDR Dasher Keyboard from Atomic offers the "Severance" work experience, all without an Esc key. It does come with a customizable layout and macros, though, and you can swap out the built-in trackball for a number pad instead. It retails at $899, but those who sign up now can get it for $599 with a $10 deposit when it's launched on Kickstarter. The MDR Dasher Keyboard was announced earlier this year, but Atomic Keyboard has made a few changes in the lead-up to its release. That includes 3 swappable layouts that are aptly named the Innie, Outie and Dasher. With its magnetic top sheet, users can swap keys, and even the trackball, to suit the Innie work-life (or more relaxed Outie one). Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. The Innie layout is the one inspired by the show, without any Option, Control or Escape key, while the Outie layout turns it into a 60% keyboard layout like a usual board. As for the Dasher layout, it swaps out the 50mm trackball on the right for a full number pad and modifier keys. Along with the built-in trackball, Atmoic added two keycaps with MX switches to act as mouse buttons. That makes for an interesting setup, but I wouldn't worry about moving the keyboard around while using it, as it weighs a bulky 15.4 pounds (7kg). It's an all-metal design with a steel top sheet and an aerospace-grade aluminum case, so expect this to stick firmly to a desk. Just so it doesn't just appease the higher-ups of Lumon, the MDR Dasher Keyboard also comes with a web configurator that can customize macros and apparently "unlock advanced features," whatever they may be. This is all done through a website, similar to Keychron and Lemokey keyboards. So, if you'd prefer to pay extra for a kitted-out keyboard from "Severance" rather than a more affordable PS5 Pro, the MDR Dasher Keyboard may just do the trick. We'll be interested to see how this keyboard performs, and if it's really worth that jaw-dropping $899 cost. Sci-fi fans thrilled as 'most underrated show on TV' returns

The long-anticipated third season of Apple TV Plus' latest sci-fi fix premiered on July 11, and fans everywhere are buzzing. Despite its relatively low profile compared to shows like The Last of Us or Game of Thrones, Foundation – which is adapted from Isaac Asimov's landmark saga – has earned a reputation as one of television's 'most underrated' treasures. Season 3 sees a powerful new villain rise, deeper emotional stakes than ever before, and fans are already sharing their excitement online, with some predicting this series will give the show the attention it deserves. Jared Harris, Lou Llobell and Cassian Bilton are amongst the returning cast members from the two previous series. The new series sees The Mule, a powerful mutant who can control minds, threaten Seldon's plan to save humanity. Critics are heavily praising the new series, with season three earning an 86% Rotten Tomatoes score. Nick Schager, from The Daily Beast applauded the show: 'Foundation is television's grandest drama, and it continues to put the rest of its small-screen genre brethren to shame with its momentous, magnificent third season.' Fans are thrilled to have a bingeable sci-fi show back on their screens after the genre has dried up in recent years. X users were quick to applaud the new series with one fan, @thatcoolblknerd saying: '#Foundation is the most underrated show on television.' 'It's crazy how GOOD #Foundation looks compared to some recent Marvel films on a fraction of the budget.' @splashthatcat added. Another fan was quick to share his thoughts, @briandelvecchio, 'The #Foundation Season 3 premiere was really good, I can't wait for the rest of season 3.' Others have had to be reminded of Apple TV's name for underground shows, 'Renewed my Apple TV for #Foundation' @49erscarlos said on X. Mathematician Hari Seldon (Jared Harris) predicts the collapse of the 12,000-year-old Galactic Empire using a science called psychohistory (a mathematical model that forecasts societal behavior on a massive scale). To preserve human knowledge and shorten the dark age to come, Seldon proposes establishing the Foundation at the edge of the galaxy on a planet called Terminus. The Empire, ruled by a trio of cloned emperors (Brother Dawn, Day, and Dusk), views Seldon's predictions as treason. They exile him and his followers to Terminus. Hari is apparently murdered by his own protégé, Raych, but his consciousness lives on in a digital form (a 'ghost' in the Vault). Gaal (a gifted mathematician) and Salvor (warden of Terminus) emerge as key players. Salvor begins experiencing visions and strange powers that hint at deeper forces at play. As a warlike group called the Anacreons threaten Terminus, Salvor thwarts their attack with help from Hari's digital self-marking the success of the First Seldon Crisis. Roughly 100 years after Season 1, the Foundation has become more than a scientific outpost-it's now growing into a religious and economic power, using Hari's teachings as a doctrine. Internal instability grows within the Empire. Brother Day (Lee Pace) plans to break the cloning dynasty by marrying and producing a natural heir – sparking major conflict with Brothers Dusk and Dawn. Gaal Dornick, having been in cryosleep, awakens and discovers she has psychic abilities. She meets her daughter, Salvor Hardin (revealed to be born from a time-travel plot), and together they encounter a group of powerful telepaths called Mentalics. Hari (still present via the Vault) reveals there are actually two Foundations: the one on Terminus and a secret Second Foundation meant to guide humanity from behind the scenes. The final episodes tease the rise of The Mule, a powerful mutant with mind-control abilities, hinting at an existential threat far greater than anything the galaxy has faced. Now you can sit back and enjoy season 3 whilst understanding what is going on… Season three is set 152 years after Season two, catapulting the narrative into a galaxy in flux. The Foundation has risen to power, while the empire weakens – ushering in the dramatic arrival of The Mule, played by Pilou Asbaek, whose psychic might threatens everything. With Hari Seldon and Gaal Dornick in cryosleep, the story shifts to a more faction‑driven chronicle, blending massive space battles with high-stakes mental warfare. The production quality continues to stun audiences, with sprawling cosmic landscapes, intricate costume design, and a score that elevates each scene's tension. More Trending Series regulars Lee Pace and Laura Birn are also receiving praise for their evolving performances, with many commending their performances as the emotional spine of the show. It may not dominate pop culture headlines, but for sci‑fi devotees, this season is a vindication: a high‑concept epic delivered with ambition and heart. With ten episodes streaming weekly until September 12th, now is the moment to catch up on this 'underrated' sci-fi series. 'Epic' sci-fi series returns to streaming — and four more shows to binge

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video After a two-year wait, Apple TV Plus' ambitious sci-fi drama Foundation returns for a third season today. Described as 'unbelievably epic' and 'riveting' by fans, the latest instalment has so far received a perfect 100% Rotten Tomatoes score, with top TV critics hailing it as 'magnificent' and 'stunning'. The Dune-esque science fiction show, loosely based on the book series of the same name by Isaac Asimov, first landed on the small screen in 2021 and returned for a second in July 2023. It follows The Foundation, a band of exiles who discover that the only way to save the Galactic Empire from destruction is to defy it, embarking on a journey to save humanity and rebuild civilisation. Season two ended with an explosive finale that saw a major character's death and a 152-year time jump. Now, The Foundation has become established far beyond its humble beginnings, while the Cleonic Dynasty's Empire has dwindled. But a threat to the entire galaxy appears in the form of a warlord known as The Mule, whose sights are set on ruling the universe through mind control. Metro TV editor Sabrina Barr reviewed Foundation when it first aired in September 2021, awarding the 'epic' sci-fi series four stars. 'There's a lot to unravel in Foundation, and the first two episodes – while utterly enthralling – may be quite confusing for some. 'If you don't mind scratching your head at every turn, Foundation is a fantastic watch in every respect, from the visuals to the score, the performances and the action. 'While there is a lot of information to absorb in the opening episodes, you get the feeling that throughout the 10-episode arc, everything will – hopefully – start to come together and make a lot more sense. 'No matter how perplexing some parts may be, we are definitely along for the complex and thrilling ride.' Read Sabrina's Foundation review in full. Season three of Foundation lands on Apple TV Plus today, July 11, followed by new episodes weekly every Friday until September 12. But it's not the only hit series coming back to streaming this month. TV fans of fantasy, romance and comedy alike are waiting for cliffhangers to be resolved as their favourite shows return — some of them for the final time. Netflix kept its cards close to its chest when it came to what to expect from The Sandman season two, but fans of the comics will have had an idea of what's in store. For the most part, critics have been impressed with the latest instalment, with Metro's own Tom Percival writing in his review: 'Season two is every bit as beguiling, bold and brilliant as the first, managing to somehow elevate the source material.' It begins just a few weeks after the events of the first season and sees Dream (Tom Sturridge) rebuilding his Kingdom — but it's not long before the past comes back to haunt him. There had been much speculation around the future of The Sandman after creator Neil Gaiman, who is also the writer of the original The Sandman comic books, was accused of sexual assault in July last year, allegations which he denies. It has since been confirmed that the second season of The Sandman will be its last. Showrunner Allan Heinberg said in a statement in January: 'The Sandman series has always been focused exclusively on Dream's story, and back in 2022, when we looked at the remaining Dream material from the comics, we knew we only had enough for one more season.' Where to watch: The Sandman Season 2 Volume One (episodes 1–6) landed on Netflix on July 3, followed by Volume 2 (episodes 7–11) on July 24. The will be a special bonus episode on July 31. Amazon Prime Video's smash hit series, based on Jenny Han's best-selling book trilogy, also returns in July for its third and final season. The coming-of-age drama follows Belly (Lola Tung), a teenage girl who finds herself in a love triangle with family friends and brothers Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno). Season one ended with Belly in a relationship with Conrad, but when things don't work out in season two, she finds happiness with Jeremiah. In season three, the trio are now on the brink of adulthood, and the trailer teases Belly and Jeremiah's engagement — but it's clear she can't stop thinking about Conrad. The time has come for Belly to confront her true feelings about the Fisher brothers, but who will she choose? Where to watch: The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 lands on Amazon Prime Video on July 16. Episodes will be released weekly until the finale on September 17. Set in a Mexican holiday resort in the 80s, Acapulco is a bingeable under-the-radar comedy that's first season boasts a perfect 100% Rotten Tomatoes score. The show is inspired by the film How to Be a Latin Lover, with its star Eugenio Derbez playing the role of Máximo Gallardo, a man who came from humble beginnings but is now a wealthy Mexican businessman living a luxurious life in Malibu. For its fourth and final season, the synopsis reads: 'Present-day Máximo works tirelessly to restore Las Colinas to its former glory before the grand reopening. In 1986, when a competitor claims the number one spot in the annual ranking of Acapulco's Best Hotels, young Máximo (Enrique Arrizon) will do whatever it takes to get back on top and secure Las Colinas' future.' Where to watch: The first two episodes of Acapulco Season 4 land on Apple TV Plus on July 23, with new episodes weekly thereafter. This Netflix sports documentary gives viewers exclusive access to three NFL quarterbacks and their families. Season one culminated in the 2023 Super Bowl, which saw Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes celebrating his team's win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Now, season two follows Joe Burrow at the start of his fifth season with the Cincinnati Bengals and Jared Goff of the Detroit Lions, while Kirk Cousins, who left the Minnesota Vikings after a torn Achilles tendon in 2023, returns to Quarterback for the second time, now with the Atlanta Falcons. A synopsis reads: 'It documents intimate moments with their families, friends and trainers. It also reveals the many pressures involved: what it's like to take a hit from a 300-pound defensive lineman, to receive an entire stadium's cheers or boos, and to ask your loved ones to make serious sacrifices on your behalf. More Trending 'It's part football epic, part character study — and, depending on the week, part parenting manual.' From the wins and losses to injuries and family life, Quarterback unveils the pressures on the athletes who hold what is arguably the most demanding job in American football. Apple TV Plus drops thrilling new trailer for Jason Momoa's historical drama show — and it's giving serious 'Game of Thrones' vibes

Apple TV Plus' "Chief of War" has been on my radar for a little while now, and every clip I've seen from the show only has me wanting to watch it more. Clearly, I'm not alone on this particular hype train, either. The streaming service dropped a full trailer for Jason Momoa's new, based-on-true-events historical drama less than 24 hours ago, and it's already racked up over 2 million views on YouTube, at the time of writing. If you've seen the new footage already, you'll know why it's doing that well: it makes "Chief of War" look like an utterly captivating watch. If not, you can see it below: Within this 3-minute clip, we're invited to "witness the rise of the kingdom of Hawai'i," and on the strength of what's here, I am ready to heed the call. Throughout, we see brutal battles, stunning scenery and plenty of drama. We meet our ensemble, and hear their fears, and hear plenty of talk of war and the stakes are set. Momoa even flexes his Aquaman muscles a little, hitching a ride on a shark. The feeling I'm getting is that "Chief of War" is going to be a must-watch for fans of shows like "Game of Thrones" or "Shōgun." Having loved both shows myself, you can bet I'll be seated when this epic new tale hits the Apple streamer this summer. If you're not up to speed on the Apple TV Plus series yet, "Chief of War" is an epic new show about the unification and colonisation of Hawai'i, told from an indigenous perspective and based on true events. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. Across nine episodes, "Chief of War" follows Native Hawaiian warrior and noble, Ka'iana (Momoa). Ka'iana sets out to unify the islands before Western colonisation at the turn of the 18th century. The cast is predominantly Polynesian; along with Momoa, "Chief of War" also features Luciane Buchanan, Temuera Morrison, Te Ao o Hinepehinga, Cliff Curtis, Kaina Makua, Moses Goods, Siua Ikale'o, Brand Finn, James Udom, Mainei Kinimaka, Te Kohe Tuhaka, and Benjamin Hoetjes Apple bills it as a "passion project" series for co-creators Momoa and Thomas Pa'a Sibbett, and it was written and exec-produced by Momoa, who also directs the series finale. Oh, and did I mention it features theme music written by the prolific film composer, Hans Zimmer? The series will receive a two-episode premiere on Friday, August 1, with new episodes dropping every week, through to the series finale on September 19.
