Rosé's Biggest Single Returns To An Important Region Months Into Its Life
Bruno Mars and Rose's 'Apt' climbs again in its fortieth week on U.K. charts, returning to the top ... More 40 and appearing on five tallies simultaneously. NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MAY 05: Rose attends "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style", the 2025 Costume Institute Benefit, at Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 05, 2025 in New York City. (Photo by) By the time most pop songs hit 40 weeks on any chart, they're lucky to even still be present. Pop music is known for its quick turnover rate, and while a very lucky few smashes can remain in the public's mind for months, if not years, that kind of success is incredibly rare. Bruno Mars and Rosé scored a surprisingly sturdy smash with 'Apt.,' which didn't just earn a lofty debut or reach impressive positions on the charts, it's managed to stick around for dozens of weeks. The collaboration isn't just holding on — it's actually managing to rise across nearly every tally it appears on in the United Kingdom, which is uncommon for a tune that's been present since last year. 'Apt.' Appears on Five Charts Simultaneously This week in the U.K., 'Apt.' lives on five different charts. It's a win when it comes to streaming platforms and pure purchases, and when combined, general consumption. This frame, the tune lifts on four rosters and even returns to the Official Physical Singles chart. Physical copies of 'Apt.' are still selling incredibly well, as the tune reappears at No. 38, becoming a top 40 smash again. Sales and Streaming Wins Amazingly, 'Apt.' is a top 40 hit on the other four charts where it's still found as well. The cut sits highest on the Official Streaming ranking, coming in at No. 16. It also lands at No. 24 on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads rosters. 'Apt.' returns to the top 40 region – which usually defines when a charting cut becomes a real smash – on the main list of the biggest songs in the U.K., coincidentally in its fortieth week on the list. The multilingual track steps up from No. 43 to No. 40, narrowly managing to find space within that tier. A Former No. 1 That's Still Rising In the past, 'Apt.' has hit No. 1 on almost every chart where it's now climbing. The Korean-English duet only missed the peak position on the Official Singles chart, where it almost became a historic leader. Instead, it topped out in second place.

Rosé surprises fans by bringing out Bruno Mars for live performance of their hit ‘Apt' at BLACKPINK's LA show
BLACKPINK's Rosé surprised thousands of fans in Los Angeles over the weekend by bringing out Bruno Mars for a live performance of their collaborative single, 'Apt', during the group's second concert at SoFi Stadium. The joint appearance marked the first time the pair have performed the track live together in an arena setting. The duet, released last autumn, features flirtatious lyrics and a catchy chorus, which the two artists shared onstage while wearing coordinating jackets. The set concluded with a burst of confetti and an energetic dance routine by BLACKPINK's backup dancers, adding to the excitement of the moment. The surprise performance quickly went viral on social media, with fans sharing clips and expressing enthusiasm. One fan wrote, 'COLLABORATION OF THE YEAR. The fact that Rosé & Bruno Mars always wear matching jackets and suits during their Apt. performance (sic),' while another posted, 'The first time they sing this banger together at an arena live. Chills without a doubt. People must have gone wild (sic).' Rosé and Mars's unexpected onstage collaboration has already been hailed by fans as one of the standout moments of the tour. As one user summed up on X: 'ICONIC!!!!! THEY OWNED THAT STAGE (sic).' BLACKPINK is currently on their Deadline World Tour, which kicked off last week at Goyang Stadium in Seoul. The opening night featured the live debut of a new single, 'Jump', produced by Diplo, 24, Boaz van de Beatz, Zecca, and Ape Drums. The group also released a music video and studio version of the track shortly after the concert. The Deadline tour marks BLACKPINK's long-anticipated reunion, as it is their first series of performances together in nearly two years. The tour includes 18 shows across key cities such as Los Angeles, Toronto, Chicago, and New York in July, before concluding at the Tokyo Dome in January 2026.

(Photo by River Callaway/WWD via Getty Images) Rosé's single 'Apt.' became an instant sensation the moment it arrived. In the months since its release, Americans have continued consuming it in every way possible, whether by streaming the track, hearing it on the radio, or purchasing the tune outright. The Blackpink singer's collaboration with Bruno Mars has been a winner throughout its entire lifespan in the United States. Lately, 'Apt.' has been tying, and then breaking, various longevity records, and it has just managed to shatter another one this week as it remains a bestselling cut in the U.S. "Apt." Extends Its Record-Setting Run 'Apt.' lives on the Digital Song Sales chart once again, collecting a thirty-fifth stay on Billboard's ranking of the bestselling tunes on platforms like iTunes and Amazon. This time around, the multilingual collaboration dips one space to No. 21, thanks to selling another 1,900 copies, according to Luminate. 'Apt.' now stands as the longest-charting track by any K-pop musician on the Digital Song Sales list. "Apt." Surpasses BTS's "Dynamite" Just a few days ago, 'Apt.' matched 'Dynamite' by BTS for this honor. The South Korean septet reset the bar when the poppy tune held its place on the ranking for 34 frames, beginning in September 2020. That record held for almost half a decade, but now it has been beaten. Just One Week at No. 1 Amazingly, 'Apt.' has only spent one week at No. 1 on the Digital Song Sales chart. The track is one of three that Rosé has pushed to the tally under her own name. In 2021, she reached the list with both 'On the Ground' and 'Gone,' which peaked at Nos. 10 and 15, respectively, and only managed a single turn on the roster. 'Apt.' Sells, Streams and Is Still a Radio Hit 'Apt.' continues to live on not only the Digital Song Sales chart, but also the Streaming Songs and Radio Songs rankings. Those three forms of consumption feed into where a tune lands on the Hot 100, where Rosé and Mars can currently be found at No. 25, after previously climbing all the way to No. 3 in the 35 frames the track has spent on that tally — another record among K-pop stars.

From Rose and G-Dragon at Psy's ‘Summer Swag' to Jin's fan concert, K-pop stars lit up the weekend
Major acts return to local stage, stirring fans with emotional speeches, nostalgic hits, splashy performances K-pop dominated the weekend, as four of the industry's most iconic figures — Psy, Rose of Blackpink, G-Dragon of Big Bang and Jin of BTS — lit up stadiums across Korea with long-awaited performances. At Incheon Asiad Main Stadium on Saturday, Psy brought his signature "Summer Swag" concert series back to life with help from surprise guests Rose and G-Dragon, making the night one to remember for thousands of fans who came ready to be soaked — both literally and emotionally. Rose, G-Dragon make surprise appearances at Psy's summer bash 'Master of Performance" Psy has been hosting his water-themed summer concert series since 2011, where fans are showered with massive jets of water in sync with the beat. But this year's kickoff show in Incheon on Saturday took things up a notch with the return of some of the biggest former stars from YG Entertainment. Rose made a surprise appearance, performing her recent hit "Apt." It marked her first appearance in a "Summer Swag" concert. The K-pop singer also sang two more tracks — "Toxic Till the End" and "Number One Girl"— from her debut solo LP, 'Rosie," released in December. 'I poured my heart into this album and the love I've received gave me strength,' Rose said, her voice cracking with emotion. 'I'm not going to cry — I'm 28 now,' she added with a smile. Reflecting on her journey since debuting at 20 with Blackpink, she said, 'I've been loved so much, but I still feel like I'm figuring things out. Life is full of confusion, love and pain — maybe that's just how it is.' At the end of her set, she bowed deeply to the audience. Then came G-Dragon in the second half of the gig — his first joint performance with Psy in 12 years. The Big Bang leader electrified the crowd, opening with "Power," the lead single off his this year's 'Ubermensch,' followed by "Home Sweet Home," "Crayon" and a collaborative performance of "Crooked" with Psy. 'I'm in the middle of a tour, but when a superstar like Psy calls, I show up,' G-Dragon quipped on stage. Psy kept the energy high, delivering his own string of hits, including "Bird," "Gangnam Style," "Gentleman" and "New Face," all enhanced by a full band and stage-shaking water cannons. In a more sentimental moment, he sang "Father" while the screen behind him showed hundreds of childhood photos sent in by fans, creating a communal moment of nostalgia and gratitude. 'My dad came to see 'Summer Swag' for the first time today,' Psy said afterward, visibly moved. Psy is taking this year's 'Summer Swag' tour to nine cities, including Uijeongbu, Gwacheon and Suwon in Gyeonggi Province, Daejeon, Sokcho in Gangwon Province, Daegu, Busan and Gwangju, for a total of 16 performances. Jin launches solo fan tour with intimate, interactive show Just 20 kilometers from "Summer Swag" at Goyang Sports Complex in Gyeonggi Province, BTS' Jin held his first solo fan concert, 'RunSeokjin_EP. Tour,' on the same day. The concert came just two weeks after J-Hope's 'Hope on the Stage' encore gig at the same venue, offering BTS fans — known as "Army" — a rare back-to-back treat, following the group's full return from military service earlier this month. Built around the theme of 'Jin's Challenge,' the concert was designed as a participatory experience. More than just a musical showcase, it invited fans to sing along, complete missions and play games with Jin throughout the evening. Inspired by his YouTube content series 'Run Seokjin,' the stage featured a massive light-emitting diode sculpture in the shape of lips — a nod to Jin's iconic 'hand-kiss' gesture. Opening with "Running Wild," the lead track from his first solo EP, 'Happy,' Jin performed a wide range of songs, including "I'll Be There," "Journey With Clouds," "Until I Reach You," "Don't Say You Love Me" and viral hit "Super Tuna." The show also included a surprise guest appearance by singer Choi Yena, who featured on Jin's song "Loser" from his second EP, 'Echo.' BTS bandmates J-Hope and RM were also in attendance to cheer Jin on. When he looked for his bandmates in the crowd, the screen caught J-Hope beaming with a bright smile. RM was also in attendance, but avoided the camera, prompting Jin to joke, 'He must be feeling shy.' Although not introduced on stage, V later confirmed his attendance with a video from the concert on his social media. Jin's fan concert tour is to span 18 shows across nine cities globally, continuing from Goyang to Chiba and Osaka in Japan, Anaheim in California, Dallas, Tampa in Florida, Newark in New Jersey, as well as London and Amsterdam.
