Dragon City Bahrain Celebrates Eid Al Adha with a Variety of Unique Events and Family Entertainment

Royal Cavalry concludes participation in Royal Windsor Horse Show
LONDON: The Royal Cavalry of the Royal Court Affairs (RCA) concluded its participation in the Royal Windsor Horse Show, held at the grounds of the British Royal Windsor Castle, with the involvement of specialised equestrian teams from several countries worldwide. The Royal Cavalry participated under the theme 'The Sultanate of Oman: Jewel of Arabia', during which its male and female riders presented diverse displays of traditional Omani equestrian arts, such as 'Ardha' galloping and horse hypnosis show, accompanied by Omani, Arabic and international musical pieces performed by the Royal Cavalry Band. Eng Hilal Mohammed al Wa'eli, Head of the Royal Horses, Camels, Farms and Gardens Affairs at the Royal Court Affairs, stated that the Royal Cavalry's participation in the Royal Windsor Horse Show featured various traditional equestrian performances accompanied by diverse musical pieces played by the Royal Cavalry Band, which were highly praised by the audience. He emphasised that the Royal Cavalry's participation in such global events underscores Oman's dedication to horses and equestrianism, highlighting the prestigious status it has achieved in this field. On his turn, Dr Sarhan Salim al Zidi, Director-General of the Royal Cavalry, noted that the Royal Cavalry's participation in the Royal Windsor Horse Show reaffirms the advanced ties between the Sultanate of Oman and the United Kingdom. Oman showcases equestrian heritage at Royal Windsor Show
Windsor, UK – Oman is participating in the Royal Windsor Horse Show 2025 being held at Windsor Castle in the United Kingdom ending on Sunday. The Royal Cavalry of Oman began its participation in the event on Friday with a presentation titled 'The Sultanate of Oman – Jewel of Arabia' highlighting the country's rich heritage and tourism potential. The performance included traditional horse sports, with male and female riders demonstrating equestrian skills, and Ardha (traditional horse-riding), accompanied by the Royal Cavalry band playing Omani and Arab compositions. The show also features competitions in show jumping, endurance and equestrian discipline, as well as chariot driving and small horse shows. Col Toby Brown, Chairman of the show, noted the strong ties between Oman and the UK, saying, 'The relationship between the Sultanate of Oman and the United Kingdom is very important, and we are very fortunate to have enjoyed good relations with Oman for many centuries.' Hilal bin Mohammed al Waili, Head of Horse and Camel Affairs, Farms and Royal Gardens at Royal Court Affairs, said Oman's participation in the show highlights its cultural and heritage, contributing to greater global awareness of the sultanate's equestrian traditions. Amir, US president pledge to boost ties
QNA Doha TheAmir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held a session of official talks with the US President Donald Trump at the Amiri Diwan on Wednesday. The talks began with HH the Amir welcoming the US president and his accompanying delegation and wishing them a pleasant stay. The talks explored ways to boost existing strategic cooperation across various fields, primarily in defence, economy, investment, energy, education, and cybersecurity, as well as joint efforts to enhance international peace and security. Also on the table were issues of common concern and the latest regional and international developments, particularly in the Middle East. The session was attended by Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Amiri Diwan Chief HE Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, Minister of Finance HE Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Minister of State for Energy Affairs HE Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, Minister of Commerce and Industry HE Sheikh Faisal bin Thani Al Thani, along with ministers and senior officials. On the US side, the session was attended by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent, Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, Secretary of Energy Chris Wright, and senior officials and members of the official delegation accompanying the US president. Upon arriving at the Amiri Diwan, the US president was accorded an official reception ceremony that included a 21-gun salute welcome. An Ardha dance was performed in front of the Amiri Diwan featuring cavalry teams, including purebred Arabian horses and camels, symbolising the Qatari environment and authentic national heritage.
