Why is Casualty not on tonight and when will it return?

Casualty will not air on BBC One this evening – and you can probably guess why. The medical drama's latest boxset Supply and Demand began a couple of weeks ago. The twelve-parter delves into the realities of a drug crisis as an interruption to the drug supply chain causes the ED to fall under even more pressure. We're three episodes in, but you're sadly going to have to wait another week for the next instalment. Here's everything you need to know… The continuing coverage of Wimbledon will air at 7:15pm this evening on BBC One. It will finish at 10pm, meaning there won't be a place in the schedule for Casualty. You don't have long to wait, as episode 4 of the boxset will air on July 11. Phew! Last week, Iain Dean's (Michael Stevenson) training at Hart was seriously impacted when he received an important phone call. As a result of having this on his mind, he failed a training exercise. More Trending Also, Flynn Byron (Olly Rix) clashed with Dylan Keogh (William Beck) when he expressed his opinion on addicts. Rida Amaan (Sarah Seggari) started her new job as a Band 6 nurse, and Ngozi Okoye's (Adesuwa Oni) alcohol addiction seriously impacted her shift. BBC star Naga Munchetty faces bullying allegations and 'sex jibe' claims

Naga Munchetty hosted BBC Breakfast on Friday morning amid a report she has faced bullying allegations. The 50-year-old presenter hosted the BBC flagship morning programme alongside Charlie Stayt. It was reported earlier this year that an internal investigation was being carried out into allegations of bullying at the program. It has since emerged that the editor of BBC Breakfast, Richard Frediani, is taking an extended period of leave after allegations of bullying behaviour, including a claim he shook a female colleague. Deadline reported that Munchetty had raised concerns with senior BBC figures regarding Frediani's conduct, amid other misconduct complaints colleagues made against Frediani. The Sun has now reported claims that Munchetty faced her own bullying allegations. She is said to have been spoken to by BBC bosses over two incidents in three years. Munchetty is also reported to have used a slang term for a sex act during an off-air break at Radio 5 Live in 2022, reportedly leaving the studio 'stunned'. No formal action was taken, but Munchetty is said to have been spoken to about the incident. It was previously reported that co-hosts Munchetty and Stayt had no relationship with show producer Frediani, amid the allegations of bullying behaviour against him. A senior BBC figure in Salford told The Times: 'Fredi has no relationship with Charlie and Naga, which is weird when they are half of his frontline presenting roster. 'It appears he doesn't like them and they don't like him — for whatever reason, they don't talk to each other.' More Trending Frediani has been the head of the program, which is broadcast daily from Salford, since 2019, and is also editor of the News at One. He last month accepted a Bafta Award when BBC Breakfast won best TV news coverage for an episode dedicated to the Post Office scandal. A BBC spokesperson said: 'While we do not comment on individual cases, we take all complaints about conduct at work extremely seriously.' Metro has contacted a representative of Naga Munchetty for comment. View More » BBC Breakfast airs weekdays from 6am on BBC One. Got a story? More schedule changes confirmed as EastEnders is pulled from BBC One

As the summer of sport begins, EastEnders will become the latest soap to have their schedule changed as a result. Due to the Wimbledon coverage on BBC One, there won't be any room for EastEnders to air in the usual 7:30pm slot. Don't worry, you won't miss a week of the soap, but you will have to flick over to BBC Two to watch the instalments. On the week commencing June 30, EastEnders will only air on the Monday and Tuesday, but will broadcast two episodes in a row, therefore effectively broadcasting a week's worth of episodes in just two days. It will air as follows: Monday, June 30 – 7pm and then again at 7:30pm. Tuesday, July 1 – 7pm and then again at 7:30pm. The drama taking place in Walford across those two days will involve Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) and Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) clashing, while Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) plots to catch someone out. It's been quite the week in EastEnders. On Monday, fans up and down the country got a huge shock as Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) returned to our screens. More Trending Staying with Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) in a flat in London, it became apparent very quickly that Zoe wasn't in a good place, with our Stace concerned enough to notify Alfie Moon (Shane Richie). EastEnders pulled from BBC iPlayer on Monday as new boss issues statement

A new era dawns on Walford as Ben Wadey takes over as EastEnders boss from next week, and in order to mark the occasion, a mysterious and intriguing offering of the BBC One soap lined up. With 'something big' on the horizon to kick things off the new chapter, Monday's (June 16) edition of the long-running serial will be withheld from BBC iPlayer until after it's broadcast on BBC One at 7:30pm. EastEnders, as audiences know, traditionally drops daily episodes on BBC iPlayer from 6am, over 12 hours before they transmit on telly. But this service will not be available to fans on Monday, who will instead have to wait until the evening to get their daily Walford fix. 'Next week marks the start of something big in Walford that we hope will get everyone talking, and it's only just the beginning,' said Executive Producer Ben, teasing what's to come. 'We've got twists, shocks, and plenty of drama lined up for a summer you don't want to miss.' The excitement is real. Monday's episode will pick up following Kat (Jessie Wallace) and Alfie's (Shane Richie) special wedding day and Jean (Gillian Wright) is yet again on the warpath, making it her mission to sabotage Harvey (Ross Boatman) and Kathy's (Gillian Taylforth) new business venture. Alfie does his best to stop her interference but he's soon distracted by a phone call from Stacey (Lacey Turner). Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? Joel Marshall (Max Murray), meanwhile, is arrested after he assaults a Tube passenger, much to the horror of Tommy (Sonny Kendall). More Trending The offering in question will be the first tribute to Ben Wadey, who takes over from Chris Clenshaw. Under Chris' reign, EastEnders won a string of awards – including a whopping eight at the Soap Awards last month – and received acclaim on a regular basis.
