Female cop arrested for accepting bribe
Berhampur: Vigilance officials arrested an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of police on Wednesday for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 in Berhampur. The accused, Babita Suna, who was posted at the Mahila police station, was caught red-handed during the operation.

The bribe money was seized.
Suna, who was investigating a case involving the complainant and his mother, demanded the bribe money to help them. She allegedly threatened to arrest the complainant if the amount wasn't paid, prompting him to approach the anti-corruption agency.
Following the arrest, vigilance teams conducted simultaneous raids at two locations linked to the accused to uncover potential ill-gotten assets.
