Fans Stir Bam Adebayo Trade Rumors After Sighting With Pau Gasol At WNBA All-Star Game

Fans Stir Bam Adebayo Trade Rumors After Sighting With Pau Gasol At WNBA All-Star Game originally appeared on Fadeaway World. This offseason has seen several surprising moves, prompting fans to dream up creative trade scenarios. Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo happens to be the latest benefactor of this chatter after he was spotted sitting next to Los Angeles Lakers legend Pau Gasol at the WNBA All-Star Game on Saturday night. Adebayo has garnered a fair degree of attention in trade rumors this offseason, particularly with the Purple and Gold. Although there have been no explicit links between the two parties, fan speculation has been the driving force behind all narratives. Adebayo's appearance with Gasol on Saturday is more likely to be a harmless coincidence than anything else. But fans were not going to let the possibility of a trade slide. In response to the sighting, several fans took to social media to share their thoughts. 'Lakers recruiting Bam," said one fan, blatantly. "Bam is a Laker," echoed another, in tandem. "Pau to the Heat confirmed," mocked a third, displaying the outrageous nature of trade rumors. Another fan made a keen observation of Adebayo's outfit, which matched the Lakers' colors, and said, "Oh no, and look at the color of his pants." Another chimed in with this and added, "And he's wearing the color lol." "First Luka, then Pau. Uhhh, not sure how I feel about this," added another fan, referencing a prior sighting of Luka Doncic and Adebayo together at a party. One fan had already resigned to the idea of a trade and said, "Must be 5 1st round picks." One fan summed up the situation and shared, "Someone said 'Heat fans think Bam is recruiting Luka, but it's really the other way around' and when you look at it like that it makes way more sense." "If not this season, next one, I guess," added another fan. One fan simply said, "Bro is gone." While several Heat fans are nervous about a potential move involving Adebayo, there is a greater likelihood that there was nothing involved in this particular scenario. Gasol has been an advocate for the WNBA and women's basketball for a long time. Meanwhile, Adebayo's partner, A'ja Wilson, was starting for Team Clark in the All-Star Game. Given the overlap of events, it is far more plausible that they were simply seated together. Even the links with Doncic can be traced to the Jordan brand event. In light of this, there are virtually no legitimate traces of an attempt to recruit Adebayo to the Lakers. Still, a sliver of doubt remains. Considering the rumors linking LeBron James to Miami, the possibilities remain endless this offseason. But at the current juncture, the Lakers seem content with the upgrades they've made to their frontcourt this story was originally reported by Fadeaway World on Jul 20, 2025, where it first appeared.

At Sadbhavna Camp, tradition of Muslims showering kanwariyas with rose petals continues

On a stretch of road that runs parallel to a mosque and a cemetery in Northeast Delhi's Jafrabad, Kawariyas dressed in saffron arrive one after the other. As they approach a camp for kanwars, named 'Sadbhavna Camp', the kawariyas chant their usual refrain – 'Bam Lahiri' and 'Bol Bam.' But at this particular camp, something is different. A group of men, wearing white kurtas and skull caps, wait at the camp's entrance with rose petals in their hands. 'Hamare kawariya bhai aa rahe hain, unka swagat kariye, unko namaste kariye, unko salaam kijiye (Our Kanwariya brothers are coming, welcome them, greet them, salute them),' a man announces. As the kanwariyas pass the camp, the men raise their arms and release the rose petals into the air. 'Hindu-Muslim-Sikh-Isai, aapas mein hain hum sab bhai-bhai… Hindustan zindabad, Hindustan ki ekta zindabad (Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, we are all brothers… Long live India, long live the unity of India),' they chant. As the petals land on the kanwariyas, for a moment, they slow down, confused. Then someone cheers, 'Jai Bholenath', and the rest join in. Inside the camp, there is chilled water, fruits, soft drinks, and shade under a blue-and-white fabric tent erected by Seelampur MLA Zubair Chaudhary. A sign outside reads: 'Sadbhavna Camp mein aap sabhi kanwariyon ka hardik swagat.' The camp was first set up in 1994 as an attempt to reduce communal disharmony in the area. It was the initiative of Chaudhary's father, Chaudhary Mateen Ahmed, a five-time Congress MLA. While the family has since shifted allegiance to the Aam Aadmi Party before this year's Delhi elections, the 31-year-old tradition of Muslims showering kanwariyas with rose petals continues. 'Before 1994, when kanwariyas used to pass from here, fights or riots would break out. They usually chant 'Bam Bam' or 'Har Har Mahadev' but because the residents here didn't understand these chants, they felt they were being provoked. The tension would carry forward to Seelampur, where Muslims were targeted in retaliation,' Zubair told The Indian Express. 'After my father became MLA in 1993, he organised the first camp the following year. He sat here with the members of the Muslim community to ensure peace. The most remarkable thing was that the entire community supported it. Thirty-one years have passed since that first camp, and there hasn't been a single untoward incident. The goal has always been to ensure that Shiv bhakts, those who bring back Gangajal from Gaumukh, Haridwar and Rishikesh, are able to walk without facing any trouble,' he added. Jafrabad was among the neighbourhoods worst hit during the 2020 Delhi riots. Memories of charred homes and lost lives still linger. But at the Sadbhavna camp, saffron and white co-exits. 'Much has been lost, but much has survived. We hope this helps heal past bruises,' said Riyaz Uddin, who has been serving at the camp for all of its 31 years. 'Every year, we sit here, handing out fruits and water to our kawariya brothers and sisters.' 'We all want to live like brothers and sisters. We want unity, we are all Indians. We shouldn't be fighting,' said Prabhat Lal, a Jafrabad resident and a volunteer at the camp. 'An initiative like this bridges gaps and builds kindness in our hearts.' A few kanwariyas leave the camp with rose petals still clinging to their shoulders. 'The journey has been long, but I don't feel tired. Faith gives me the strength to walk for miles. And this gesture has given me even more courage,' said Jitendra Shyam, a contractor from Rajasthan who is on the pilgrimage with his neighbour.

Norman Powell said playing for Heat was 'childhood dream' and dishes on the trade to Miami

Highlights from new Heat wing Norman Powell's introductory Zoom news conference on Wednesday, a day after Miami acquired the 21.8 point per game scorer in a three-team trade that sent Kyle Anderson and Kevin Love to Utah: ▪ He said he was surprised by the trade: 'I didn't know what to think at first. It has been a crazy last couple of weeks, from talking to [Clippers general manager] Lawrence Frank at my exit meeting and what they were telling me. It was something I knew was a possibility; them saying teams were interested in me. [But the Clippers] made it sound like there wasn't a high possibility of it happening and we would figure out an extension.' He was in Europe earlier this week and 'when I got the call and said I was traded, it was a shock. I had a career year' and expected an extension from the Clippers. 'Hearing it was Miami, I was really excited.' Powell said 'I've had a couple guys say amazing things about the organization. Thinking back to my childhood, being a big fan of Dwyane Wade. Playing for Heat was a childhood dream. Full circle moment for me.' ▪ He said he fits the Heat culture because 'I'm extremely hard working. Going to Miami -- I fit the culture perfectly, putting in extra work, the late nights, early mornings. That's who I am to the T. I've hung my hat on making my weaknesses my strengths and my strengths even better.' ▪ He said of the Heat: 'They see me as a winning piece and that requires me to sacrifice my game.' ▪ What does he see himself as? 'I see myself as a plug guy... I've always seen myself as a go-to guy who can help a team win. I don't have a big ego of 'I have to be the main guy.' 'I've not been shy to say I can be a starter, an All Star if given the opportunity. This year I showcased that, being in the top 10 of All Star' voting at guard in the Western Conference. 'I'm a versatile player who can play multiple roles and excel in any role. Being able to attack the paint will open up opportunities for others. Me and Bam [Adebayo] in the pick and roll can take pressure off those guys. Being able to initiate plays and also finish plays on the second side of the offense.' ▪ On his defense: 'I know people have said how that's taken a step back since my Toronto days. I'm looking forward to putting my stamp on that.' ▪ On the team he's joining: 'Having conversations with Bam [in the past], I like what they're building. I like the culture. They fight for wins, they're scrappy,.They're competitive. That's what I like. Bam can play multiple positions and attack a multitude of ways. Really athletic. 'Tyler Herro is great off the ball, on the ball, scoring, facilitating. He did a great job this year figuring out when to score, when to be aggressive... I can make things easy for Tyler. He was the focal point last year.... The way Davion Mitchell guards, is aggressive, can get downhill as well.' ▪ Does Powell consider himself an underrated player? 'I think I am... People don't really see what I can bring to the table. Last year was the first full year of people being able to say this guy is really good and can be a go to guy every night.' ▪He spoke to Pat Riley on Wednesday. What feedback has he received? 'Everybody is super excited. They mentioned how they tried to get me for several years now. Always good to have that initial energy and excitement that they want you and had their eye on you for a long time and see how you can fit into the team and make an impact with my scoring and being dynamic and being able to do a bunch of different things. 'It's always good hearing that going into a situation where they've wanted you. 'Pat likes my little floater I've developed over the years. Being able to work on both sides of the floor, me one side, Tyler on the other' is an exciting possibility.

Pearly-Thinaah to stay with BAM until 2028 Olympics [WATCH]

KUALA LUMPUR: At last, the wait is over. Women's doubles Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah have ended speculation over their future by committing to the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) until at least the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. The world No.3 are expected to sign a new contract before flying to Tokyo for the Japan Open on July 15-20. Their decision brings much-needed relief to fans and officials alike, ending months of uncertainty after their previous deal expired in December. All negotiations with BAM have now been wrapped up, with the new agreement ensuring Pearly-Thinaah remain the nation's key contenders in the hunt for a historic first Olympic gold. BAM president Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz had earlier vowed to resolve the matter before the pair's trip to Japan, and he has stayed true to his word. Following the Japan Open, the pair will head to the China Open (July 22-27), before preparing for the World Championships in Paris on Aug 25-31. Their recent run of form has been nothing short of outstanding: champions at the Thailand Open, runners-up at the Indonesia Open, semi-finalists at the Malaysia Masters, and quarter-finalists in Singapore. "Not just a religious Yatra, it's a Yatra of the people": Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Vijay Kumar Bidhuri

Baltal (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], July 3 (ANI): As a fresh batch of pilgrims set off on Thursday for the holy cave of Shri Amarnath Baba, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Vijay Kumar Bidhuri stated that the Yatra was not just a religious one, but one of the people. He further stated that security forces, porters, tent service providers and others had been involved in the Yatra. 'This Yatra is not just a religious Yatra. It is a Yatra of the people. Security forces, 'pitthus', tent every service provider is involved in it... The enthusiasm among the devotees is unparalleled. I pray that everyone's wishes are fulfilled and there is peace and happiness in Kashmir and the rest of the country...' Bidhuri told ANI. Earlier, devotees chanted 'Har Har Mahadev' and 'Bam Bam Bhole' as they began their journey. One pilgrim at the Baltal base camp, who is visiting the Amarnath shrine for the 14th time, praised the arrangements. 'I am from Sangrur, Punjab. This is the 14th time I have come for the Amarnath Yatra. There is no need to rush. The arrangements made by the government are excellent,' he told ANI. A pilgrim from Bengal, who was part of the first group departing from the Pahalgam base camp, also expressed satisfaction. 'We are very happy. We have no fear. Our government is very good... Our Army is also very good. We have no reason to be afraid,' he said. Another devotee from the same batch added, 'The facilities are very good... Everything belongs to Bhole Baba. We possess nothing... The arrangements are excellent.' Kavita Saini, a pilgrim making her first trip to Amarnath, also shared her experience. 'This is my first time for the Amarnath Yatra. The experience is very good. We got our medical certificate and registration from here. Everyone was very helpful. The Delhi Police and Kashmir Police were all very helpful to us... I will pray that there is peace and happiness in our country and that whatever happened recently does not happen again.' The 38-day pilgrimage which has started today will end on August 9. It will follow two routes, the traditional 48-kilometre Pahalgam route in Anantnag district and the shorter but steeper 14-kilometre Baltal route in Ganderbal district. The first group of pilgrims departed from the Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu on July 2. Security across the Jammu region has been stepped up significantly in the wake of the April 2025 terror attack in Pahalgam. Over 50,000 personnel from the CRPF, Army, and Police have been deployed. CCTV cameras, drones, jammers, and facial recognition systems are being used to monitor the route. Arrangements have also been made for medical teams, air ambulances, and emergency evacuation, to ensure the safety of all pilgrims. (ANI)
