Report: Jordynne Grace and Stephanie Vaquer Moving To WWE Main Roster; Which Shows Are They Expected On?
Jordynne Grace and Stephanie Vaquer are said to be main-roster bound. Upon joining WWE this year, Jordynne Grace reportedly inked a main-roster level deal, though her initial steps would lead her to WWE's development brand of NXT. Most recently, Grace challenged Stephanie Vaquer, albeit unsuccessfully, for the NXT Women's Championship at NXT Battleground. Looking ahead, she is now slated to ascend to WWE's main roster. Advertisement According to Cory Hays of Grace is expected to join the WWE SmackDown roster imminently. The blue brand also recently became the home to former NXT Women's Champion Giulia. Grace and Giulia previously faced off to determine Vaquer's Battleground opponent, with Grace emerging victorious. Tiffany Stratton currently serves as the WWE Women's Champion on the blue brand. Following her shocking NXT Women's Championship loss to Jacy Jayne, Vaquer is also due for a main roster call-up. Hays reports that 'La Primera' will soon move to the WWE Raw brand. Last month, Vaquer made a pair of appearances on WWE's red brand, the first of which pitted her against WWE Women's World Champion IYO SKY in a non-title match. The following week, she defeated Ivy Nile in singles competition. In coming to Raw, Vaquer will join the likes of SKY, Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, and Roxanne Perez, who officially signed with the brand last week. When Vaquer signed with WWE last year, the company offered her an immediate spot on the main roster. Per Vaquer's request, though, she stated her journey in NXT, primarily to better her English, work on television, and learn the American style of pro wrestling. Trick Williams just won the TNA world title at NXT Battleground
Who would have ever thought a day would come that a show promoted by WWE would be headlined not just by a current TNA World Champion but that the match itself would be for said TNA world championship? That came to be at tonight's (Sun., May 25, 2025) Battleground premium live event at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida, when the face of TNA, Joe Hendry, put his title on the line against one of the top stars in all of NXT, Trick Williams. It was a Joe Hendry match, so they worked the gimmick to death: Advertisement But we also got Trick having fun with Booker T's old gimmick: Late in the match, Williams brought the TNA world title into the ring, though he didn't intentionally use it as a weapon himself, thanks to the referee, so he didn't get disqualified. However, it did end up on the mat and he dropped Hendry right on top of it. The ref didn't DQ him for that either, and a follow up Trick Shot was enough to earn the three count. We have a new TNA world champion, and he is an NXT star. How about that finish? Get complete Battleground results and coverage of every match on the card by clicking here. More from

WWE breaks 23-year tradition with fans shocked over 'mind blowing' twist
WWE fans witnessed history and the end to a 23-year championship legacy over the weekend. Last night, for the first time ever, a TNA Wrestling championship was defended on WWE television – and viewers tuning into NXT Battleground were stunned after a major twist. History was made in the main event as Trick Williams stole the win from TNA Wrestling World Champion Joe Hendry, meaning for the first time in its 23-year history, TNA's top title is now held by a WWE contracted superstar. Although the TNA Title itself has only been active since 2007, the company used the TNA World Heavyweight Championship for its first five years. It's a massive step in the partnership between WWE and TNA, and fans couldn't believe what they were seeing as Sunday's show went off air. 'A WWE superstar is TNA world champion.. I never thought I'd see something like this in my lifetime,' wrote @Formersoccerfan on X. A second fan, @TheDanHuelsman, added: 'The TNA Champion is a WWE Wrestler. Unreal times….' Another viewer, @HeelBalor, tweeted: 'Honestly, my mind is blown but in a good way kind of way this is insane. A WWE wrestler is now the TNA world heavyweight champion just WOW!' 'Is a WWE superstar now the TNA champion???? What is going on??? Rules have been broken,' raved @Lux00__, with @jackbeeton2002 saying: 'Never thought I'll see the day a wwe wrestler is a tna champion wow (sic)' 'Yo I can't believe that the TNA Champion is a WWE wrestler… 🤯🤯,' @2crack_17 added, and @JcAponte_35 said: 'A WWE wrestler is TNA world champion… weird timeline to be in #wwebattelground (sic)' TNA President Carlos Silva was on the front row at Battleground, and took to X afterwards to offer his congratulations while hinting at future plans in the pipeline. 'Congrats Trick. Make sure you take care of that belt,' he wrote, before adding: 'I'll see you in the TNA office tomorrow.' Fans have had a hint of what's to come, with TNA Wrestling star Mike Santana revealed earlier in the show that he would be waiting to challenge whoever walked out as champion. The result is also interesting when it comes to the future of Hendry himself, who has caught fire with WWE fans this year, including a shock WrestleMania match with Randy Orton last month. More Trending There has been plenty of speculation about whether or not the Scottish star will making the jump from TNA to WWE when his contract is up – and a decision could be made sooner rather than later. 'Who knows what's gonna happen next. I'm in my contract year right now, it's a very exciting time,' he recently told Chris Van Vliet on Insight. View More » 'I'm doing my best to give my best to the performance, give the audience everything else and to enjoy it.' Got a story?
