N.S. man, 18, two youths accused of breaking into Beaver Bank home, stealing firearms
An 18-year-old and two youths are facing charges after they allegedly broke into a home in Beaver Bank, N.S., and stole several firearms. The RCMP responded to a report of a break-in at a home on Barrett Road around 7:30 p.m. Friday. Police say they used drones to locate and arrest three people in the woods nearby. Police recovered six firearms they say were taken from the home and executed search warrants at a residence and vehicle associated to the people arrested. Carter Wright Neal, 18, of Beaver Bank is facing 18 charges, including the following: two counts of careless use of a firearm two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose six counts of possession of property obtained by crime Neal appeared in Dartmouth provincial court on Saturday. Two youths were released on conditions pending future court appearances. Incident prompts firearms investigation Meanwhile, a second investigation is underway after the RCMP says officers found multiple firearms unsecured and unsafely stored inside the home on Barrett Road. Police say the officers seized 28 firearms from the home. Both investigations are ongoing with support from Forensic Identification Services and the RCMP National Weapons Enforcement Support Team. Man who allegedly spied on woman in bathroom turned himself in: N.S. RCMP
The RCMP says it has identified and arrested the man who allegedly spied on a woman in a public bathroom in Lower Sackville, N.S., this week. Police responded to a business on Sackville Drive on Tuesday. They learned a man had allegedly entered the bathroom and laid down on the floor to observe a woman under a stall door. The RCMP said Thursday it was trying to identify and locate the man and released photos of the suspect. Police issued an update Friday, saying the 32-year-old Beaver Bank man turned himself in at the Lower Sackville RCMP detachment after the photos were released. The man, who has not yet been named, was arrested and released on conditions. He is due to appear in Dartmouth provincial court on Sept. 22 to face a charge of voyeurism. Man, 24, dies in dirt bike crash in Beaver Bank area
A 24-year-old man from Beaver Bank, N.S., is dead after crashing a dirt bike in the area early Saturday. Halifax RCMP say it responded to a report of the single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Meadowbrook Drive and Pinebrook Drive at around 1:20 a.m. Once they arrived at the scene, police say they learned the man had been driving a dirt bike on Pinebrook Drive when it left the road and went into a ditch. Man dies in dirt bike crash near Halifax

Halifax Regional RCMP is investigating the fatal crash in Beaver Bank, N.S. Responders pronounced the driver and sole rider, a 24-year-old from the area, dead at the scene. RCMP 'responded to the report of a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Meadowbrook Drive and Pinebrook Drive' at approximately 1:20 a.m., said a news release. Upon arrival, RCMP learned the driver was travelling on Pinebrook Drive when the dirt bike left the road and came to rest in a ditch. RCMP say that a collision reconstructionist attended the crash scene. The intersection was closed for several hours but has reopened. The investigation is ongoing.
