EastEnders exit as TWO stars axed after eight years and leave in a blaze of glory in final scenes
EASTENDERS has aired two major exits after bosses decided to axe the remaining Taylor family. The BBC soap said farewell to Bernie Taylor and her cousin Felix Baker, eight years after the controversial family made their debut. 3 3 3 The Sun exclusively revealed how actors Clair Norris and Matthew James Morrison were being axed from the show earlier this year as new boss Ben Wadey makes huge changes. And in today's double-bill, their final storylines played out. Viewers discovered last week how Bernie had been stealing from the Panesars after being left over-all control of the business empire by Nish after his death at Christmas. Realising what was going on, Ravi and Vinny set a trap for Bernie to expose her as the thief - giving her another chance to steal from them. But they had no idea Bernie wasn't planning to stick around to face the consequences. She packed her bags and convinced Felix to come with her Having fallen for Ravi and Vinny's trap and taken another £25,000 from the Panesar businesses, Bernie and Felix were set to leave. But as they headed to the cab, Suki got in the way and stopped them with other members of The Six watching. 'She stole from me,' said Suki. 'No, you did,' hit back Bernie. 'You all did. You stole from me and my family. Something that I can never get back. EastEnders favourite fired after making shock discovery about Bernie Taylor 'You've all just moved on. You can walk away from the Vic now that it's up for sale and start again, you've got Harvey, Jack, all your kids…' Turning back to Suki she told her: 'And you have got it all. 'Everything that you ever wanted. You can be who you are with the woman that you love. 'This money is a drop in the ocean to get away with what you did, to move on, to finally let me, my mum, my family, to be finally be free of this.' EastEnders stars who QUIT MICHELLE Collins has seen her second EastEnders stint boost her bank balance. Yet what stars have quit this year? The Sun exclusively reported how Michelle, 62, was down to £20,000 in her company accounts when she agreed to a shock back-from-the-dead return to Albert Square last year. Her character, Cindy Beale, was presumed dead off-camera in 1998. Yet what about the 2024 exits? Earlier this summer, loyal soap fans appeared to note how Stevie Mitchell had "quit" the long-running series. It came after Alan Ford enjoyed just six-months on-screen. Bobby Beale actor Clay Milner Russell also left this year after five years in Walford. Fans also feared Martin Fowler actor James Bye would "quit out of boredom" over recent storylines. Additionally, a host of stars have quit the BBC soap for Hollywood fame. One of the most successful stars to come from the BBC One soap is Rob Kazinsky. He played Stacey Slater's brother Sean Slater from 2006 to 2009, he has starred in Hollywood blockbusters Pacific Rim and Captain Marvel. Ben Hardy, who quit EastEnders as Bobby Beale almost a decade ago, went on to break Hollywood the following year, when he starred as Archangel in X-Men: Apocalypse. Since then, he has played Roger Taylor in Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, and he starred in Michael Bay 's Netflix movie 6 Underground. Michelle Ryan played Zoe Slater until 2005. She starred as the lead in short-lived American series Bionic Woman from 2007 to 2008. Kathy and Linda begged Suki to let Bernie go with the cash, and she stepped aside. Bernie and Felix climbed into the cab and drove off - just as Ravi emerged to watch the shocking development.

EastEnders favourite fired after making shock discovery about Bernie Taylor
AN EASTENDERS fan-favourite was brutally fired moments after uncovering a bombshell secret about Bernie Taylor. The shock sacking sent ripples through Albert Square and is set to have major consequences as the truth about Bernie starts to unravel. 5 EastEnders fans will know, Vicki's been keeping a close eye on the Panesar books - all while working under Bernie's watchful gaze. Bernie was handed control of the family empire at the start of the year, thanks to Nish's final act of revenge against his family. But tonight's episode saw Vicki spot some dodgy invoices - and while she tried to flag her suspicions, Bernie wasn't having any of it and quickly shut her down. Vicki's week goes from bad to worse when sister Sharon booted her out of the family home - all because she hasn't paid back the money she owes. Skint and desperate, Vicki begged Bernie for an advance on her wages. But instead of a helping hand... she gets the sack. Determined to get answers, Vicki swiped her work laptop and started digging - and what she uncovered left her gobsmacked. She stumbled across hard proof that Bernie has been stealing from the business... and now she had the receipts to prove it. With the evidence in hand, Vicki plotted her next move - and blackmail was well and truly back on the menu. Vicki dropped the bombshell on a stunned Bernie, revealing she'd uncovered the £20,000 theft - and wasn't planning to stay quiet for free. Shock exit for ANOTHER EastEnders character as he risks marriage to flee abroad She demanded half the stolen cash, her old job back, and a juicy pay rise - or she'd march straight to the Panesars and blow her secret. Bernie had no choice but to cave - but has Vicki really won the war? Or has it just begun? EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7:30pm on BBC One, or stream from 6am on BBC iPlayer. 5 5 5 Most complained about soap storylines Over the years, all three of the main soaps have featured plots that have had even die-hard fans reaching for their phones and laptops so they can get in touch with Ofcom and complain. Here are just some of the most scandalous... EastEnders baby theft: 13,400 Ofcom complaints - Back in 2011, EastEnders was flooded with complaints when Ronnie Branning (RIP) swapped her baby for the dead son of Kat Moon. The storyline drew the most number of objections in the soap's long history and saw it roundly criticised by campaigners - with 13,400 flying in over the course of the storyline. Some viewers called it 'distressing' and 'horrific' but Ofcom ruled the scenes were not "unduly disturbing'. Emmerdale dog-napping: 550 Ofcom complaints - Back in 2016, Ross Barton and Charity Dingle came up with a plan to steal a dog and hold it ransom - but viewers didn't like it one bit. The nation's pet owners rose up, insisting the storyline would encourage copycats (not to mention copydogs). Complaints over two episodes totalled a staggering 550 and soap writers quickly learnt you don't mess with animal-lovers. Coronation Street double murder: 546 Ofcom complaints - Marginally less people complained about a gruesome double murder than objected to a dog-napping plot when Pat Phelan was at the centre of a spate of killings. First he forced Andy Carver to shoot dead Vinny Ashford - and then Pat killed Andy. All the bloodshed back in 2017 proved to be too much for some viewers, who lodged complaints in vast numbers about the 'violent scenes'.

EastEnders exit revealed as star is axed from soap after eight years
EASTENDERS shock exit for Bernie Taylor has been revealed after actress Clair Norris was axed from the soap. The actress - who has played Bernie for eight years in the BBC soap - was told her contract would not be renewed earlier this year after new boss Ben Wadey took over the show. 2 2 Viewers next week will see Bernie exposed as a thief who has been stealing from the Panesar family after late killer Nish gave her control in his will. Vicki Fowler will attempt to blackmail her for some of the skimmed cash - as Bernie's cousin Felix also warns her to be careful. And when Priya and Ravi start to suspect Bernie's abilities to run the Panesar accounts aren't quite there, Suki is adamant she's up to the job. Later, Kathy tells Suki that Bernie has stolen money from the accounts, and Priya tells Ravi who intervenes by requesting an audience with Bernie at No.41. Realising she has nowhere to hide, Bernie tells Ravi, Priya and Suki that Vicki is the one responsible for her crime. However Ravi and Priya aren't convinced and enlist Vinny into finding out the truth. Actress Clair recently teased her exit from Walford - teasing Bad Bernie's return. She said: "My exit is very Bernie, and it's back to bad Bernie. 'It's very dramatic, and must-watch, I've already filmed my exit and it will play out later this summer." Clair also recently told The Sun about her plans after she has closed the EastEnders chapter in her life. She said: "My plan is to work out what I want to do. EastEnders is the only thing I've ever done, so all I know is soap. 'I came from college and went straight into it. I think having a varied career, going into theatre would be great, and also, doing a drama would be great. I'm open to anything. 'I've just been on holiday which was great and the perfect timing. And now I'm back it's about getting cracking with show reels and self tapes."
