Unless you have a cleaning cupboard in your house, I often find the hoover is a bit of an eyesore in my otherwise lovely and possibly even stylish home. Samsung has squashed that woe with its sleek, compact design that really is easy on the eyes. Aesthetics aside, the vacuum is a sturdy piece of kit that makes cleaning the house much easier than lugging around a corded hoover. It's lightweight, and packs a 400W punch with its Jet mode. Although I don't believe I'll have much use for the call alert system - it's a nice touch, and could really come in handy some day. The AI telling me which mode is best for which floor is ideal, it means the vacuum can conserve energy - which in turn, keeps my energy bills down.

Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra review: Powerful performance, sleek design and some questionable AI
I tested the Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra, and at $1700, I gave it a full review of the pros and cons so you can shop confidently. There is no shortage of attachments when you unbox the Jet Ultra. The standard head is what Samsung calls the 'Active Dual Brush', and for most general vacuuming, this thing does the job with no complaints. There is a Slim LED Brush that is designed to get into hard-to-reach places like under furniture, and a specific Pet Tool for sorting out pet hair. The mop head attachment or 'Spray Spinning sweeper' lets you clean hard floors with a built-in water tank and reusable micro fibre pads. The All-in-one cleaning station is for me a very neat solution to two problems I have with most stick vacs. Charging and emptying. Having a home for the vacuum that doesn't need screwing to a wall or require fussing about with charging cables is a huge tick for me. The in-built dust bag, though, should not be understated, when you have finished cleaning and return the Jet Ultra to its home, the All-in-one cleaning station opens a little trapdoor and sucks all the contents into a 2L bag leaving the vacuum empty and ready for the next clean. As someone who is frustrated by bagless vacuums and the amount of dust you have to deal with when emptying it's refreshing to see bags making a comeback. Does it suck? (in a good way) The Bespoke AI Jet Ultra comes with five settings for suction power from min to Jet, with a much-hyped 'AI' mode in the middle there that Samsung is super excited about. As you cycle through the different modes, the screen shows you how much battery life you can expect with a somewhat ominous countdown to empty! I was very impressed with the power from the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra, and to be completely honest, I think five levels of suction is a bit excessive. Mid and Max do the job, Jet feels like it could lift a small car, Min is a waste of time, and the AI mode was, well, meh. Overall, though, it's hard to fault the cleaning performance of the vacuum, with a unit at this price point, you expect that. However, the mop head did feel a little bit underwhelming. Ergonomics The wand is telescopic, no surprises there, and there isn't a trigger to make it go, just the power button with a plus and minus to skip through the modes. I loved seeing that the trigger was missing, as in the past using other stick vacs, it can get a bit straining holding down the trigger for a big clean, so huge tick there! The Bespoke AI Jet Ultra is powerful and has a bunch of tech squeezed in, but it does come at the price of weight. The standard configuration has the unit weighing in around the 3kg mark, and you notice it. Vacuuming out the car with the combination tool does bring the weight down, but it is a bit of a strain by the time you move to the back seats. Is it AI or nah? It seems like everywhere you go these days, we are constantly being told that AI is in everything. Sometimes it's legit, and the products are made genuinely more intelligent and helpful by their AI features. Other times it feels like the brand is putting an AI sticker on the product to tick a box and say, 'look everyone! We're doing the AI thing!!' In the case of the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra, it very much feels like the latter. The AI mode is marketed to use artificial intelligence to adapt to changing floor types, changing brush speed and suction power to suit. In practice, though, it's a bit underwhelming. The adaptive cleaning doesn't feel 'intelligent', it feels gimmicky. I get it, though. AI is all anyone in tech is talking about at the moment, and Samsung has a bunch of AI features across their new product lineup, some of which are genuinely exciting and impressive like the AI upscaling on their new line of tv's, or the tightly integrated AI food recognition in their new fridges. The AI sticker on the side of this vacuum, though, feels like just a sticker. Similarly, the SmartThings app integration feels like an app for the sake of an app, and aside from being able to let phone calls interrupt your vacuuming, there isn't much in the app that is blowing my mind. Final thoughts The Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra is a very good stick vacuum. And when held up against other machines in the segment, it outperforms a lot of them. The dock is brilliant, the power is unrivalled, and it really is a great addition to any home. But, and this is an important but, the thing to keep in mind is it isn't cheap. Though, $1,700 bucks is a lot for a vacuum but in saying that, it is a very good vacuum. I do think, though, the app for apps' sake and the AI for AI's sake is a bit of a shame.

Engineering a state of clean: The hidden journey of air inside the 'world's most powerful' cordless stick vacuum from Samsung
When we use a vacuum cleaner, we normally notice what our senses can easily detect — like the whirring sound, spinning brush, and disappearing dust. But what really makes it all happen is a process you can't see: Air moving through the vacuum's complex internal system, carrying everything from fine dust to stubborn debris. This invisible air path determines how strong, stable, and effective a vacuum's suction truly is. With the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra, Samsung spent six years refining that journey. Every twist and turn, from intake to motor, was reengineered to allow air to move without interruption. The result? The world's most powerful* cordless stick vacuum cleaner yet*. When air enters the vacuum, it's burdened with everything from pet hair to large and fine dust* particles. It shoots through a long internal air path and encounters the multi-cyclone system. Here, air spins at incredible speed. The significant centrifugal force generated by the rotation flings dust outward, separating particles so that clean air can continue forward. It's efficient, but intense. In actual fact, the resistance created by this spinning can slow down airflow and weaken suction. To address this, Samsung introduced a multi-cyclone structure with 12 cyclones and 33 air inlets, which are increases of 33% and 22%*, respectively, compared to the previous generation. With more entry points and more evenly distributed pathways, the airflow stays balanced and powerful, with less resistance. This allows air to separate dust efficiently while still flowing smoothly. After passing through the multi-cyclone system, the air now reaches the motor. And here, it must spin again at up to 148,000 revolutions per minute. Inside the motor, air flows through a component called the impeller, which rotates at high speed, and then passes through the motor. The impeller — a component resembling the blades of a jet engine — makes air travel from the centre outwards to create a vacuum. If air that was moving outward takes a wrong path and enters the vacuum, it disrupts the vacuum state (of course!), making it difficult to maintain suction power. This is why it is crucial to have an effective air path surrounding these blades that ensures air can find its way smoothly. To enhance this, Samsung upgraded the diffuser structure inside the motor from one row to two rows*, giving air more exit routes to maintain vacuum pressure and suction consistency. By clearing the path for air to escape more easily, suction stays stronger. From the shape of a cyclone to the structure of a diffuser blade, every element of the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra was optimised with one goal: let air do its job without obstruction. But airflow alone isn't the whole story. Samsung developed specialised brushes* for pet hair and embedded carpet dust, a battery system that supports strong output, and AI Cleaning Mode 2.0*, which automatically adjusts suction power according to your cleaning environment*. There's also the All-in-one Clean Station, which brings convenience by automatically emptying the dustbin and serving as a sleek charging dock. It's a comprehensive cleaning experience, built around the invisible motion of air. With this device, Samsung didn't just create a vacuum. It added details to the path air takes, and in doing so, pushed suction performance to a whole new level.
