Why McKennie is a problem for Juventus

Weston McKennie has 11 months left in his contract with Juventus, and talks over a new deal are stalling, giving the Bianconeri one more problem in this transfer window. Juventus are not only dealing with issues related to Dusan Vlahovic and Douglas Luiz, but the future of McKennie is also a matter of concern at the Allianz Stadium. EPA-EFE/ALESSANDRO DI MARCO Sources with direct knowledge of the matter tell me that negotiations over a new contract beyond 2026 have been put on hold due to a big gap between offer and demand in terms of agent commissions. If the two parties fail to reach an agreement over a new contract, Juventus will quickly need to find a club interested in McKennie and suitable for the American midfielder.

Report – Juventus Plan To Hijack Inter Milan Pursuit Of Parma Starlet In 2026

Juventus reportedly intend to beat Inter Milan to the signature of Parma youngster Giovanni Leoni next year. According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the Bianconeri cannot make a tangible proposal for the 18-year-old this summer. Indeed, strapped for cash, Juventus must postpone their pursuit of the prodigious defender until 2026. Meanwhile, Juve's plan to open talks for Giovanni Leoni next year aligns perfectly with Parma's intentions. The Crusaders are desperate to keep their rising star at Ennio Tardini for the 2025/26 season. (Photo by) Juventus' ambition to sign Leoni threatens to undermine Inter's long-standing interest in the Italian starlet. Despite genuinely trying to reunite Leoni with Cristian Chivu, the Nerazzurri have no funds to make it happen. Indeed, everything hinges on player sales. After exhausting the budget, Inter will make one last purchase in the shape of Ademola Lookman. Therefore, all remaining incoming deals will depend entirely on outgoing transfers. With Juventus ready to enter the race in 2026, Inter would be wise to take concrete action this summer.

Pjanic tells Juventus to sign Newcastle star this summer

Former Juventus star Miralem Pjanic feels the Old Lady should sign Sandro Tonali to strengthen their midfield: 'He's just what they need.' Ex-Juventus midfielder Pjanic tells his former club to sign Italy international Tonali this summer. The Bianconeri have been looking for midfield reinforcement for weeks, regardless of the latest issues with Douglas Luiz. Tonali was linked with a move to Juventus before the end of the season, when Cristiano Giuntoli was still the Bianconeri director. (Photo by) Now, Damien Comolli has taken over at the Allianz Stadium, but Pjanic believes Juventus should still go for Tonali. 'I would sign Tonali; someone like him is worth the effort. He's Italian and has great potential,' Pjanic told Gazzetta. 'He won with Milan and has continued to improve in England. He's humble, strong, and with a touch of quality: what Juventus need.' Juventus have made several key changes within the club, hiring François Modesto as the new technical director and promoting Giorgio Chiellini to a more prominent role. 'Chiello loves Juventus. He knows the history and the locker room; he will be incredibly valuable.' Pjanic played 135 games under Massimiliano Allegri at Juventus, more than under any other coach. The Italian has now been appointed as the new Milan boss, so what does Pjanic expect from the Rossoneri? 'I often talk to Max, we had wonderful years together at Juventus,' the ex-Juventus and Roma midfielder replied. 'He's a friend and it's great to see him in Milan. He and Conte are the best in Italy, the most successful. Few handle the pressure like Allegri. Milan are aiming to finish in the top four, but when you have somebody like Max on the bench, it's normal to expect even more.'

Pre-season continues

Saturday, 26 July, was another busy day for our Men's First Team at the Training Center. Having returned to work on Thursday, the Bianconeri were out for their third straight day to start the weekend. Split into two groups, the morning was dedicated to gym work indoors before the guys headed out onto the pitch for some defensive drills. In the afternoon, the focus shifted to possession work and the session ended with the usual small-sided matches. Sunday, 27 July, sees the Bianconeri back on the pitch for another double session, with the first pre-season friendly against Reggiana following just six days later. That friendly will be played at the Training Center on 2 August behind closed doors, but it will be shown live on DAZN.
