Bill O'Reilly: Chinese espionage rose 1,000% under Biden

(NewsNation) — Political commentator Bill O'Reilly said Chinese espionage in the United States increased by approximately 1,000% during the Biden administration, citing evidence including Chinese property purchases, spy balloons and recent arrests of individuals involved in suspicious activities. O'Reilly said Wednesday on NewsNation's 'CUOMO' that he had spoken with President Donald Trump and found him 'very optimistic about the trade with China improving dramatically,' though O'Reilly expressed neutrality on the prospects for improved relations. O'Reilly said he recently traveled to Beijing at Chinese officials' invitation, paying his own way to advance potential U.S.-China cooperation. He said FBI Director Kash Patel has been quietly tasked with monitoring the growing espionage threat from China. Rep. Luna: China is dangerous, behind funding of protests His comments come as Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., is pushing to investigate possible foreign influence behind U.S. protests. Luna announced a formal document request to Shanghai-based billionaire Neville Singham, who she claims is tied to the Chinese Communist Party and funding anti-ICE and anti-Israel demonstrations. If Singham refuses to comply, Luna says she'll refer him to the DOJ for prosecution. O'Reilly said the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights, which he characterized as 'militant far left,' received $34 million from California in 2023 and coordinated with unions to plan the demonstrations. O'Reilly said the group has ties to George Soros' Open Society Foundation and received $200,000 from the Biden administration. He claimed California taxpayers effectively funded protests. Bessent testifies as US, China reach trade deal framework Regarding Middle East tensions, O'Reilly said Trump does not want to participate in bombing Iran because it would disrupt potential China negotiations, Ukraine policy and the global economy. But he predicted weekend negotiations between Trump envoy Steve Witkoff and Iranian leaders represent 'the last chance' for a diplomatic solution. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. Bill O'Reilly Bats for Trump to Pardon to 4-Year-Old Immigrant With Serious Illness: ‘Has to Be Exceptions'

Even Bill O'Reilly knows when enough is enough. The conservative commentator who has long supported strong border security went to bat this week for President Trump to issue humanitarian pardons to certain undocumented immigrants, using the example of a young child with a serious illness being treated at a Southern California hospital who was granted a pass by Homeland Security. 'I was happy to see this story,' the 'No Spin News' host said Friday. But first, some Biden-bashing: 'Thanks to President Biden, the FBI has spent more than a million manpower hours investigating problems stemming from the open border,' he said. 'Now, on Tuesday of this week alone, 2,200 illegal migrants were taken into custody,' he continued. 'That's a lot for one day. That's a 37% jump from the week prior. So, they're stepping up. ICE is stepping up its raids and … keeping them contained. They're not out on the street anymore. The White House is pleased. Trump wants this. That's why it's happening.' He also noted that since Trump has been president, there have been 67,000 undocumented migrants taken in and about 65,000 deported, but 'there are exceptions, or there should be, and there are.' 'Homeland Security, which controls ICE, has to make exceptions here,' he said. 'One of them is little Sophia Vargas, a four-year-old Mexican girl with a very serious illness. She's being treated in Southern California in a hospital there. Her mother, who took her across the border illegally in 2023, has been detained by ICE. But ICE is now giving the family a humanitarian waiver, which is the right thing to do. All right? We have to save this girl's life. 'Now, I would, if I were President Trump, pardon her. I'd say, 'You can stay on a humanitarian basis.' Nothing wrong with that. Sophia and her mom do not pose any danger to us, and it's a humanitarian thing.' Watch the monologue in the video above. Bill O'Reilly meets CCP leaders, calls for cooperation with China

(NewsNation) — Bill O'Reilly said Monday that the United States has no choice but to work with China to prevent global conflict, despite the country's history of breaking agreements and engaging in espionage. 'There's no other alternative,' O'Reilly said on NewsNation's 'On Balance' after returning from meetings with what he called 'the most powerful people' in China. 'We've got to try to get a deal with China.' O'Reilly said he briefed President Donald Trump for about 30 minutes following his China trip, though he declined to share specifics of that conversation. He said Chinese officials indicated that tariffs were not their primary concern, but Taiwan remains the central issue. '2049, 100 years since Mao Zedong imposed communism, they want Taiwan under the Chinese flag,' O'Reilly said. 'I told them that while President Trump is in office, it's not going to happen militarily.' Russia severely limited after attack: Ex-Ukraine ambassador O'Reilly proposed what he called a 'plan for peace and prosperity' that would position the United States and China as global 'enforcers' of peace, potentially sidelining Russia and Iran. He said Chinese officials appeared receptive to the concept. When pressed about China's surveillance state and human rights abuses, O'Reilly acknowledged the country's authoritarian nature but distinguished Chinese leadership from Russian President Vladimir Putin, whom he characterized as more 'psychopathic.' 'I wouldn't use the word evil across the board,' O'Reilly said of China. 'It's a police state, a surveillance state. Nobody has any rights. They justify it by saying, look, we got a billion and a half people.' Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. Bill O'Reilly Chuckles at Newsom-for-President Rumors: ‘J.D. Vance Has Got to Be the Happiest Guy in the World'

With what the Associated Press calls 'the earliest phase of the 2028 presidential election season already underway,' one name being floated for the Democrats is California Gov. Gavin Newsom – and Bill O'Reilly says that should make Republicans feel pretty comfortable in these early days. Newsom hasn't declared either way, but media outlets from the AP to Politico to NBC News were reading the tea leaves last week as the second-term governor is rumored to be kicking the tires and working on a 'rebrand' as a more centrist candidate than previously advertised. As he tends to do, O'Reilly just said it outright: 'Gavin Newsom is running for president,' the 'No Spin News' host said. 'I told you this earlier this week, and he sees an opportunity because there's no competition on the Democratic side for him at this point. Newsom — talk about a hypocrite. This is hypocrite number one.' O'Reilly pointed to Newsom's recent pivots on homelessness and a proposed cap on state public health spending for undocumented immigrants as evidence. 'Well, what took you so long?,' O'Reilly said. 'You've been governor for six years. [Homelessness] has cost the state billions of dollars and has destroyed San Francisco and other cities. And all of a sudden, you're enlightened? You want the homeless camps dismantled?' He also rolled a clip of Newsom recently talking about his plan to address the state's annual $12 billion spending deficit. 'So here are the solutions,' Newsom said. '$5 billion on a freeze on our Medi-Cal expansion. We're not cutting or rolling back those that are enrolled in our Medi-Cal system – we're just capping it, particularly for those with documentation.' O'Reilly called spin on that: 'Yeah, a cap. What a weasel this guy is. So, why didn't you do it five years ago? Why didn't you do it? It is so ridiculous.' And finally, O'Reilly had a good chuckle at Newsom's blame for the state's financial woes on the Trump administration. 'California is under assault,' Newsom said in another clip. 'The United States of America, in many respects, is under assault because we have a president that's been reckless in terms of assaulting those growth engines, has created a climate of deep uncertainty, and certainly has California in his sights.' The former Fox News host found that truly funny: 'So, it's Trump's fault. It's Trump's fault that California has a $12 billion-a-year deficit. Democrats, is this what you want? This is what you're going to put up?' O'Reilly concluded that it's only good news for whomever Republicans intend to run in 2028 – especially if it's the current vice president. 'J.D. Vance has got to be the happiest guy in the world,' O'Reilly said, shaking his head. 'He's got to be the happiest guy in the world. Yeah, bring it on. Unbelievable.'
