The Tudor Black Bay 54 Lagoon Blue is the watch of summer 2025, and I don't want to take it off

Some watches feel made for summer – the Tudor Black Bay 54 Lagoon Blue is one of them. I've been wearing it for a week now, and I didn't want to take it off (and neither did my wife). It's comfortable, stylish, and surprisingly versatile. It works by the pool, at dinner, or walking around town. The 37mm case size is a big part of that. I've got fairly small wrists (16cm), and the Black Bay 54 fits just right – not too big, not too chunky. It also looked great on my wife's wrist. In fact, Tudor's own photos mostly show it on a woman's wrist, which isn't something you see that often from a brand known for big tool watches. But this one feels different. It's properly unisex, without falling back on clichés like precious metals, mother of pearl, or diamonds to appeal to women. It still has all the specs you'd expect from a serious dive watch – 200m water resistance, COSC-certified automatic movement, 70-hour power reserve – but it doesn't feel like a tough tool watch. It feels more like a piece of jewellery. The dial is what really makes it stand out. The light blue colour has a subtle texture, like fine sandpaper, and it catches the light in a really nice way. The polished stainless steel bezel adds to the shine, although it's not the easiest to read if you're after perfect legibility. It also tends to pick up fingerprints, especially if you're wearing suncream – so I found myself wiping it clean with my T-shirt more often than I expected. The bracelet is great too. It's a five-link design with polished centre links, and it feels a bit dressier than your usual diver strap. It's also very comfortable – slim, smooth, and secure. On hotter days, the built-in 'T-fit' extension on the clasp came in handy, letting me loosen the fit slightly as my wrist expanded in the heat. I've seen a lot of people talking about this watch online already, and it seems like it's a hit. And I get why – it really is the ideal summer holiday watch. You can swim with it, wear it to dinner, or just enjoy looking at it in the sun. What's most impressive is that Tudor has made a unisex watch that still has the same quality and watchmaking you'd expect from the rest of the Black Bay line, just with a bit more bling. It's not trying to be overly masculine or tough, and it's not trying too hard to appeal to women either. At $4350 in the US and £3590 in the UK, it also feels like good value for what you get. You're not paying extra for gold or flashy materials, but it still looks and feels premium. It's well-made, nicely finished, and backed by a solid movement and five-year guarantee. The Black Bay 54 Lagoon Blue has quickly become my go-to watch this summer. And honestly, I don't see that changing any time soon. Liked this? Best watch winders to keep your watches ready

We're Jumping In At The Deep End With The Stunning TUDOR Black Bay 54 'Lagoon Blue'

Wearing a TUDOR has the power to mentally transport you somewhere – and with the Black Bay 54 'Lagoon Blue', that somewhere is warm, the sun is shining, and waves of azure water are gently lapping against shell-dotted white sand beach. A watch can do more than tell time, it can shift your mindset. With a perfectly proportioned 37mm case and a 'Lagoon Blue' dial plucked straight from paradise, this is the ideal complement to seasons full of sunsets, sand, and slowing down. But it's not only the case size that casts a spell on those who wear the newest Black Bay 54 iteration. It's also in the magical combination of the sand-textured dial and mirror-polished bezel, not to mention the five-link bracelet that wraps perfectly around your wrist and feels like laying down in a well-worn hammock laced up between two palm trees right where the water meets the sand. This is the watch that perfectly captures those dreamy vibes of summertime – forever. The Black Bay 54 is fitted with an entirely satin-brushed 5-link steel bracelet, complete with the TUDOR 'T-fit' clasp equipped with a system for rapid length adjustment. Easy to use, requiring no tools and offering five positions, this practical system allows wearers to carry out a fine, instant adjustment of the total length of the bracelet along an adjustment window of 8mm. The clasp features ceramic ball bearings that ensure a smooth and secure closure in addition to adding a pleasing tactile element to the action of the clasp. The Manufacture Calibre MT5400, with which the Black Bay 54 is equipped, displays hour, minute and second functions. It has the finish typical of TUDOR Manufacture Calibres: Its rotor in tungsten monobloc is openwork and satin-brushed with sand-blasted details, and its bridges and mainplate have alternate sand-blasted, polished surfaces and laser decorations. Its build is designed to ensure robustness and precision. To do this, the variable inertia balance wheel is maintained by a sturdy traversing bridge with a two-point anchoring. This system, together with its non-magnetic silicon hairspring, enables the Manufacture Calibre MT5400 to function within a tolerance range of 6 seconds (-2/+4) tested on a fully assembled watch. Another notable feature is that the power reserve of the Manufacture Calibre MT5400 is 'weekend-proof'; that is to say, it has a 70-hour power reserve, which enables the wearer to take the watch off on a Friday evening and put it back on again on Monday morning without having to wind it. Even if you need a weekend away, your watch does not. The Black Bay line features dials inspired by the TUDOR divers' watches produced during the 1950s. It borrows the characteristic angular hands known to collectors as 'Snowflake' from models that appeared in the brand's 1969 catalogue. Its unprotected crown and the characteristics of its case are reminiscent of the first generations of TUDOR divers' watches. The Black Bay line is the result of the subtle blend of traditional aesthetics and contemporary watchmaking. Far from simply being an identical re-release of a classic, it brings together over seventy years of TUDOR dive watches, whilst at the same time being resolutely anchored in the present. It is neo-vintage in conception, yet its manufacturing techniques, reliability, robustness and the quality of its finish are consistent with today's more rigorous requirements. Fifty One East unveils TUDOR 2025 Novelties at private event in Doha

Tribune News Network Doha Fifty One East, Qatar's favourite department store, successfully hosted an exclusive in-store event unveiling TUDOR's Watches & Wonders-Geneva 2025 collection for the first time in Doha. The private gathering took place on Wednesday, May 7 at the TUDOR Shop-in-Shop at Fifty One East, Lagoona Mall, welcoming an elite group of TUDOR enthusiasts and valued clients. Guests had the rare opportunity to be among the first in the region to view—and purchase—TUDOR's latest timepieces following their global debut in Geneva. The event underscored Fifty One East's ongoing dedication to bringing world-class luxury experiences to Qatar's discerning clientele, a commitment that has defined its partnership with TUDOR since 1951. 2025 is a big year for TUDOR, as it saw an all-new Black Bay in 43 mm featuring Master Chronometer certification and a Pelagos that's depth rated to 1000 m. The Swiss manufacturer also released a Black Bay 58 all with a burgundy dial and bezel; the Black Bay Pro with enhanced visual touches; and finally, the Black Bay Chrono model in steel with a five-link bracelet. Bader Al-Darwish, Chairman and Managing Director of Fifty One East, said: 'It was an honour to reveal TUDOR's exceptional 2025 novelties in Doha. Our relationship with the brand spans more than 70 years, and this event marked yet another milestone in our shared journey. We are proud to continue offering our clients access to the world's most exceptional timepieces in experiences as unique as the watches themselves.' TUDOR 2025 Novelties presented at the event Black Bay 58 The Black Bay 58 is named after the year in which the first TUDOR divers' watch waterproof to 200 meters was introduced. Among other aesthetic allusions to this famous historic watch, this model has a 39 mm diameter case, in keeping with the characteristic proportions of the 1950s. For the first time, the new all-burgundy Black Bay 58 also comes on a 5-link bracelet with a T-fit rapid adjustment clasp. On top of all of that, the watch also got the Master Chronometer treatment. Pelagos Ultra Exceptional tool watches and the symbol of aquatic adventure, the models in the Pelagos line are amongst the most complete traditional mechanical divers' watches available today. Engineered specifically to overcome the challenges associated with saturation diving, the new Pelagos Ultra is the most technically capable Pelagos ever made, with 1,000 meters of water resistance, a proprietary bracelet adjustment system, and a 43 mm titanium case. It represents a giant stride in technical advancements with a Master Chronometer Certification from METAS. Black Bay 68 Introducing an entirely new Black Bay model in 43 mm with two new colour configurations. The big deal is not just a brand new case size, but that the Black Bay 68 is also Master Chronometer certified by METAS. The Black Bay 68 is among the largest Black Bay models and meets the demand for various case sizes to fit all types of wrists. Black Bay Pro TUDOR offers a technical model named Black Bay Pro. It has a 39-millimetre diameter, a fixed steel bezel and a Manufacture Calibre with built-in GMT function. Building on the Black Bay Pro's robust reputation, this new version retains the 39mm diameter case, fixed steel bezel and Manufacture Calibre with built-in GMT function. A distinct new opaline dial with visual touches that make it extremely legible. Black Bay Chrono TUDOR has been producing watches that are closely tied to the world of motor sport since 1970, when the brand introduced its first chronograph. The Black Bay Chrono combines this heritage in a sport-chic chronograph, with contrasting sub-counters and a high-performance automatic Manufacture Calibre, with column wheel and vertical clutch. Celebrating decades of its chronographs, the Black Bay Chrono model in steel with a reworked case and two dial options now comes with the option of a 3-link or 5-link bracelet, both with 'T-Fit' clasp. Immersive Experiences and Activations In true TUDOR spirit, the evening offered guests an immersive brand experience that brought the 'Born to Dare' ethos to life. A live DJ performance set an upbeat tone throughout the night, while guests engaged with an interactive Push Button Reaction Wall for the chance to win exclusive TUDOR prizes. The culinary experience included elegant pass-around catering alongside red and white cotton candy and popcorn, red and black sliders and mocktails, echoing the signature colours of the TUDOR novelties on display.
